- If you are just taking the ride to enjoy the view and not to climb Mt. Apharwat, then you need to take both Phase I and Phase II rides to truly appreciate its beauty
- In summers snow can be seen from Phase 2, in winter Phase I is enough to get a glimpse of snow
- Ticket to second stage gondola ride is available at the end of first stage
- Keep warm and wear woolens since the cold gets you at that height.

Hotel River Walk resort in Pahalgam is not good and Akbar house board is poorly managed.

The hotels were 3 star and charging 7k per night in Gulmarg was not good. Had to carry bags due to road blocked by snow, cigarate buds in bed, no TV working, heater was small and making noise. The hotel near lal chowk was too missing TV and no care for customer, no cleaning.
