Adventure Activities New Zealand
New Zealand, with its stunning natural and cultural diversity, is like a country you see in dreams, but only better because here is a plethora of exciting activities to indulge in. From adventure activities like trekking, water sports, and bungee jumping to luxury splurges like cruising and extensive shopping, there is never a dearth of activities to do in New Zealand at all.
Shopping in New Zealand
Among the diverse stuffs to do in New Zealand, shopping is certainly one. The country has some very unique things to offer, which you can bring back home as souvenirs. Collecting Maori decorative items is a very common thing among tourists. Other than that, pounamu or jade stone ornaments, glass and wood items, merino wool and possum knitted winter-wear are some other things to buy here. All the cities in New Zealand have more than enough places to shop to the heart’s content, especially Auckland and Christchurch.
Adventure activities in New Zealand
Among the most-favoured New Zealand tourist activities is adventure. Any off the edge fun and exciting adventure activity that you can think of, New Zealand has got it. Skydiving, bungee jumping, jet boating, water rafting, cave hiking, zip lining, canyoning and the list goes on of the adventure activities that New Zealand has to offer.
Here are some of the other New Zealand activities to do.
1. Bungee jumping
Bungee jumping is one of the best things to do in New Zealand. Auckland Harbour Bridge is a very popular location for the sport, with a plunge of 40 metres into the ocean. Here is the world’s first commercial bungee jump as well, at Kawarau Bridge. But to take it up a notch, try the jump at Nevis Canyon which is the world’s third highest bungee jump from 134 metres height.
2. Explore Maori culture in New Zealand
A visit to New Zealand is incomplete without exploring the Maori culture thoroughly. Some of the best places to do so are Rotorua, Hokianga, Kaikoura, Waimarama, and the Bay of Islands in Waitangi where the Waitangi Treaty was signed between the Maori and European people.
3. Visit the Hobbiton
Among the things to not miss in New Zealand, Hobbiton is one, especially if you are a fan of the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit movies. The green fields which are only a couple of hours drive from Auckland were used as a set for the location of Shire in the movie, where the hobbits Bilbo Baggins and his nephew Frodo lived in their house, Bag’s End. The place has been recreated for the fans to enjoy the Hobbit experience, with a couple of places like Green Dragon Pub and Shires Rest thrown in to add to the charm.
4. Swim with dolphins in Bay Island
Bay Islands are not only a destination to explore Maori culture, but also to have great underwater experience. Other than scuba diving, one can also enjoy swimming with the friendly pods of dolphins. Because the sea water around the North Island is comparatively warmer, you can enjoy swimming comfortably here without a wetsuit.
5. Hiking along the trails
Hiking is among the most beautiful yet underrated things to do in New Zealand. Some of the best trails to explore the country are Abel Tasman Coast Track, overnight hike at Mueller Hut Route, Buck Taylor Track Loop, Mount Victoria Trails, Abbey Caves, Franz Josef Glacier and the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing, otherwise known as the land of Mount Doom to the LOTR fans.
Piha Beach In Auckland
Tired of your busy schedule? Fed up of those beach trips to Goa and Gokarna? Fear no more as you now have a new place to visit. It might be an international one, but it will definitely be worth a visit due to its grandeur and decoration. Piha Beach in Auckland to the rescue, has qualities just like its name, it is very sere...

Thakur Mahek Mt
Thakur's 7 days trip to New ZealandThankyou Travel triangle for such an amazing trip to New Zealand, as it was my honeymoon trip so I wanted to book the best possible trip ,the hotels were amazing, all the bookings were pre confirmed ,it was a very comfortable trip, Mr. Amit was very helpful during the whole trip despite of time difference of 7.5 hours between India and New Zealand he was always there to assist us , we are very satisfied with your team and we look forward to book our next trip soon with you.
Surabhi's 10 days trip to New ZealandTravel Triangle and hub holidays helped us to plan and customize our tour. We had a really good experience. All the hotels were good. Queens Town properties had a mesmerizing scenic lake and glacier view. We received all the vouchers timely and did not face any issue during our trip. All our hotels were in the central location except for fox glaciar one. We did not have a very good experience with visa however which was done by travel relations. They were not aware of the documents and type of visa and kept bugging us but travel triangle was able to sort it out. Queens town apartments and the view. Glacier helicopter ride Franz joseph Milford cruise and the waterfalls Driving in new Zealand Indian food in new Zealand . It is comparable to indian restaurants.
Vivek's 10 days trip to New ZealandWe booked our New Zealand through travel traingle and hub holidays. Our plan was customised as per our requirements . Hotels, flights, meal, activities , self drive car everything was good. We did not face any issue during our trip. The only set back was Franz Joseph hotel which was 30 mins away from the main city. Other then that everything was good. We did not have a good experience with the visa team though. They were not aware of all the documents needed and we're not even aware that new Zealand tourist visa is an e visa for Indians, we being in Bangalore had to send them documents couple of time. Also they were rude no customer obsession. The 1 start that I have deducted is solely for travel relations the visa company. At one point we felt we could have done processing for our visa and it would have been much faster. But the experience we had with travel traingle and hub holidays is 5*. New Zealand and it's beauty. Self drive with Toyota RAWA Spinnaker's bay apartment Glaciar ride with snow landing Milford sound trip
Jignesh's 13 days trip to New ZealandMy tour was planned by Mr Amit of hub holidays. It was planned very nicely. Amit is a very positive person. My tour was very nice and every thing was smooth. except some last hour cancellation at waihiky tour. but I received refund for the same.
Puneet's 4 days trip to New ZealandThe Package was well understood and compiled as per my requirements. Quick response from the team. Feedback on my Bookings : 1) Rental Car : I was not informed on the Insurance for the car being provided. Nor was it mentioned on the voucher, hence I had to pay $94 dollars for the Insurance.I later came to know that i was provided with a basic Insurance. But obviously I had already paid for Insurance. Secondly the car was hired for 4 days but i actually used it for only one day i.e. while going from Queenstown to Christchurch. Day 1 hotel was within the city and all Activities were within 500m hence it wasn't used. Day 2 Milford hence not used. Day 3 Queenstown to Christchurch used it. Day 4 Hardly used it, only for City Centre. Hence I could have done with only 2 days instead of 4. This information as a planner you should have known. 3rdly I was offered a Petrol car , petrol is a dollar costlier and the average is also less. This being a road trip the car should be offers accordingly. 2) Hotel The Hotel in Queenstown was very good. The Hotel In Christchurch was a Motel and 7 KMs away from the City Centre. Which I found was not upto the standard as compared to the Queenstown hotel. Overall I found the Trip prepared was not cost sensitive. I could have saved alot in comparison to what I have paid. Milford Sound Tour
Vineeth's 14 days trip to New ZealandMy Wife and I had planned to visit New Zealand and wanted a mix of both adventure and a romantic experience. we shortlisted HubHoliday among the various agents. though their pricing was a bit high, the coordination was excellent. Thanks to Mr.Amit for planning it really well in such a short notice. He kept checking on us not just before the trip, but even when we were there. we trusted him blindly on this entire process and he never let us down even once. we had no complains and we thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon. looking forward to making more memories via HubHOLIDAY. ;)
