Manali Kasol Tour Package By Cab: 3 Nights 4 Days

This Manali Kasol tour package packs two of Himachal's most-loved stops into one easy 3 nights, 4 days trip, and it runs entirely by cab. There are no flights to catch and no trains to change. A private car picks you up in Chandigarh, the road gateway to the Kullu valley, and drives you up to Manali for two nights. You spend a day in the Rohtang and Solang belt, then drop down the Parvati valley to Kasol for a night before the return run to the plains. It starts at Rs 10,500 per person on twin sharing.

The by-cab format is the point of this trip. You keep the same car and driver for four days, stop where you like, and skip the hassle of local transport between Manali, Kullu and Kasol. It suits couples, friends and small groups who want the two headline Himachal experiences, the snow and adventure around Manali and the laid-back cafe culture of Kasol, without a long or complicated itinerary. Every day of it can be reshaped around what you actually want to see.

    Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Chandigarh to Manali by Cab

Your private cab meets you in Chandigarh and heads straight up towards Manali, roughly a 290 km drive of about seven and a half hours along the Kullu highway beside the Beas river. You check in on arrival and the rest of the day is yours to unwind after the journey. If you have the energy, walk Manali's Mall Road in the evening or head across to Old Manali's cafe lane. Dinner is at the hotel and you stay overnight in Manali.

Day 2: Manali, Day Excursion to Solang Valley and the Rohtang Belt

After breakfast you drive up the Manali to Rohtang road towards the high mountains. Solang Valley, about 14 km from town, is the day's adventure hub, with paragliding, the ropeway, zorbing and, in season, skiing on the snow slopes. From May to October, when the pass is open, you continue to Rohtang Pass for snow, sledging and yak rides, stopping at Rahalla Falls, Nehru Kund and Marhi along the way. When Rohtang is closed from November to May, this is the day many travellers instead drive through the Atal Tunnel, the 9 km all-weather tunnel opened in 2020, to the snow meadows around Sissu on the Lahaul side. You return to Manali for dinner and your second night.

Day 3: Manali to Kasol via Kullu and Manikaran

You check out after breakfast and drive down the valley towards Kasol, about 75 km and two and a half hours away. On the way you pass through the Kullu valley, known for its apple orchards and the Beas rafting stretch. The highlight of the drive is Manikaran, where the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara sits over natural hot springs so hot that langar food is cooked in them. You can bathe in the spring baths and take in the calm of the place before carrying on to Kasol. Set on the banks of the Parvati river and often called the mini-Israel of India, Kasol is made for slowing down. Spend the evening cafe hopping along the main lane or walk across the river to the tiny village of Chalal. Dinner is at the hotel and you stay overnight in Kasol.

Day 4: Kasol to Chandigarh, Departure

After a relaxed breakfast you check out and your cab drives you back to Chandigarh, roughly the same 290 km return down the valley, arriving in about seven and a quarter hours. If your onward train or flight from Chandigarh is later in the day, there is time for a last cup of coffee in Kasol or a short stop in Kullu on the way down. Your Manali Kasol trip ends where it began, back on the plains.

Places and Experiences You Will Cover

    • Solang Valley: The adventure heart of the trip, 14 km above Manali. Paragliding, the cable-car ropeway, zorbing and winter skiing all run here, and the meadow itself is worth the drive for the mountain views.

    • Rohtang Pass and the Atal Tunnel: Rohtang, at about 3,980 m, gives you snow and sledging when it is open from roughly May to October (a permit is needed). When it is shut, the Atal Tunnel opens the route to Sissu and the Lahaul valley year round.

    • Manikaran Gurudwara and hot springs: One of the most striking stops on the route. The Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara draws Sikh and Hindu pilgrims, and the sulphur hot springs beside it are hot enough to cook the community langar.

    • Kasol and the Parvati River: The trip's slow-down stop. Riverside cafes serving Israeli and continental food, easy walks to Chalal, and the Parvati river running clear and cold through it all. It is also the base for Parvati valley treks if you extend the trip.

    • Old Manali, Hadimba Temple and Mall Road: Around Manali itself, the cedar-shaded Hadimba Devi temple, the cafe lanes of Old Manali and the shops and food of Mall Road fill any spare evening.

    Cancellation and Payment Terms

Every package on TravelTriangle is customisable and booked through a verified local agent, so the exact cancellation terms are written into your quote before you pay. As a general guide, cancelling well ahead of your travel dates attracts the lowest charge, while cancelling close to departure, or after the hotels and cab are confirmed, carries higher fees because those bookings become non-refundable at the operator's end. You receive the full written policy, including refund timelines, along with your itinerary, and you can usually pay in instalments rather than the whole amount up front. Travel insurance is not included, and for a mountain trip we recommend adding it to cover weather delays or a road closure.

Best Time to Visit and Who This By-Cab Trip Is For

You can run this Manali Kasol trip through most of the year, and the season you pick changes the trip. For clear weather and easy walking, September to November is the sweet spot, with crisp air, thin crowds and the valleys turning gold. December to February brings snow to Manali and Solang, best if you want to see and play in it, though the high roads can close. March to June is the warm, busy holiday season when Rohtang reopens and the snow points are in full swing. July to September is the monsoon, greenest of all but with a real risk of landslides on the ghat roads. For a full month-by-month breakdown, see our Manali travel guide.

The by-cab format suits anyone who would rather sit back than drive, and who wants the flexibility to stop for photos, tea or a detour without waiting on buses. It works well for couples, groups of friends and families travelling with older parents or young children, since the same car and driver stay with you for all four days. If you are set on a flight-free, all-road trip from north India, this is built exactly for you.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Get your answers — before you plan your trip.

      Chandigarh Travel FAQs

What is included in the Rs 10,500 Manali Kasol by-cab package?

The Rs 10,500 per person price covers 3 nights of hotel stay (2 nights in Manali, 1 night in Kasol), daily breakfast and dinner, and all sightseeing and transfers by private cab, including pick-up and drop from Chandigarh, plus taxes. It does not include your fare to Chandigarh, the Rohtang permit, activity charges such as paragliding or skiing, or personal expenses. Everything is customisable, so you can upgrade the hotel or add a day.

How far is Kasol from Manali?

Kasol is about 75 km from Manali and takes roughly two to two and a half hours by cab, driving down through the Kullu valley and Bhuntar into the Parvati valley. In this package that drive is Day 3, and it includes a stop at the Manikaran Gurudwara and hot springs on the way, so plan for a half-day journey rather than a straight transfer.

How many days are enough for Manali and Kasol?

Three nights and four days is the sweet spot for seeing both, which is exactly how this trip is built. Two nights in Manali give you a full day for Solang and the Rohtang belt, and one night in Kasol is enough to cafe hop and see Manikaran without rushing. If you want to add a Parvati valley trek to Kheerganga or a night in Tosh, plan for five to six days.

Is the cab included, and is it private?

Yes. The whole trip runs on a private cab that stays with you for all four days, from the Chandigarh pick-up to the final drop. You do not share the car with other travellers, and the driver handles the mountain routes between Manali, Solang, Kullu and Kasol, so you can stop for photos or tea whenever you like. The cab type is matched to your group size.

Does the package cover Solang Valley, Rohtang Pass and the Atal Tunnel?

Solang Valley is part of the Day 2 excursion, and when Rohtang Pass is open, roughly May to October, the day continues up to the pass for snow and sledging. When Rohtang is closed in winter, many travellers instead drive through the Atal Tunnel to the Sissu snow point on the Lahaul side. Confirm the exact Day 2 plan and any Rohtang permit with your agent when you book.

      What is Manikaran known for?

Manikaran, in the Parvati valley near Kasol, is famous for the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara and its natural sulphur hot springs. The springs are hot enough that the community kitchen cooks langar in them, and pilgrims bathe in the spring baths. It is both a Sikh and a Hindu pilgrimage site, and it is a scheduled stop on the drive from Manali to Kasol in this package.

Can couples, families and groups book this package?

Yes. The trip works for couples, groups of friends and families, and it is a good fit for families travelling with older parents or young children because the private cab stays with you throughout. The hotels, cab size and pace are all customisable, so honeymooners can add a nicer room while a friends group can keep it budget and add adventure activities at Solang.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Because every trip is customised and booked through a verified agent, the exact cancellation window is set out in your written quote before you pay. As a rule, cancelling early attracts the lowest charge, while cancelling close to departure, or after the hotels and cab are confirmed, costs more because those bookings become non-refundable. You get the full policy with your itinerary, and travel insurance is recommended for a mountain trip.

Can I extend the trip to Tosh or Kheerganga?

Yes. Kasol is the base for the wider Parvati valley, so you can add a night in Tosh, a day trip to Malana, or the Kheerganga trek to the end of this package. Tell your agent when you book and they will add the extra nights and transport to your quote. For a relaxed version, an extra night in Kasol alone gives you more time to cafe hop and walk to Chalal.

Travelled to Shimla, Manali on 10 Jun, 2019 with 3 others for 6 days

Mahendra's 6 days trip to Himachal

I had booked Shimla - Manaali six days tour with North India Tours & Travels. From the starting there were trouble with agency. I was asked to contact Mr. Neeraj Negi for driver details. I had followed him four times over phone but he didn't provide the proper details. I got three drivers number an
d had to call all of them to know who will pick me up from Chandigarh. Once driver was fixed, he asked me to leave from Chandigarh early (though I didn't want it) in the morning because he was in Chandigarh that evening and he wanted to return early. when I called Neeraj Negi to know if Hotel room will be available if I reach early, he was blunt and said will you check out early if you are checking in early. Taxi and hotel coordination was his job but I was doing it and he was playing boss role. while travelling to Shimla, taxi driver (Prakash) informed me that he is not from North India tour travel. Taxi driver on day one left without informing. raised the issue on Travel triangle whatsapp group but no help was offer either by travel triangle or Neeraj Negi. During the travel, I had four different drivers (Prakash, Sanjay, Ajay, Raju) and on each day I had to coordinate with these drivers. No professionalism at all. Although, I was informed that I will have single driver through out the tour. while returning from Manaali around 1 PM during the day we were passing through planes (Sundar Nagar, Bilaspur etc) and temperature was 37 deg C and dust outside. requested driver to switch on the AC but he hadn't. this is despite the fact that we were descending from hills or travelling in plane areas. This driver (Ajay) had to pick client from Chandigarh therefore he had asked us to start early from Manaali, which I agreed to. I had to skip the breakfast because of him but when we requested him to switch on the AC, he straight forward denied it. No support from North India tour travel . Only good thing in this trip was hotel in Manaali (Himalayan heights), which is newly built and well maintained. view from this hotel is quite good and it has apple orchard within it's boundary.

Hotel provided at shimla is barowalia resort, which is a pathetic hotel. initially was promised to give Pahuna resort, but later changed. Itenary provided in the list cannot be completed due to not so super planning, only 60% places can be covered.. Driver is a good person and he is a good gentle
man. after so much of complaints got a better hotel in Manali Varsha Inn a very good hotel thanks to Mrs. Sharma, but the itenary in manali should be planned for 2 days, 1 day is not sufficient, this has to be told to the customer, if customer is having budget problems cover only important places. Because of this creating unnecessary rift between customer and driver, luckily not happened in my case. Neelam is very helpful in co-ordinating things, but as an agency lot to improve.
