Himavat destinations made a perfect arrangements for our tour. Both at Thimpu and Punakha (wandue ) Ecolodge the hotels were really nice . Last minute change of hotel in Phuntsholing was not comfortable .Selection of Paro hotel too not good . Best Driver and car was plus point for the journey of six days . Bhutan is place must visit and you can select Himavat for your tour .

        • Trip to Bhutan

Trip was very well arranged by Mr Himanshu and Miss Seema. They were responsive if we had any questions. We did not face any problems during the trip. Our driver, Mr Tashi Tshering, was very nice and familiar with the local places. He even suggested some new places which weren't part of the itinerary. Even though we were just 2 girls, we felt safe throughout the trip. Credit goes to Mr Tashi for such a memorable trip. Hotels were good. Amenities everywhere were nice, but the service could be improved. Especially, the staff at Bhutan Residence in Phuntsholling was rude. Overall, I would recommend Himavat Travels for travelling to Bhutan. P.S. I would suggest spending only 1.5 days in Thimphu, instead of 2. And leave for Punakha in the evening of the 2nd day. Visit the Punakha Dzong, Try traditional Bhutanese dishes and clothes, Trek to Tiger's Nest

        • Trip to Bhutan

The overall trip was really nice, the itinerary and the hotels were adjusted as per our demands. The driver Mr. Sundar who was provided was really good in terms of punctuality and coordination. He took us to every place as we planned and guided us throughout. Innova was provided for 4 adults which made our journey comfortable. Our journey started with arrival at Bagdogra airport , where the cab was already waiting for us and took us to phuntsholing. We stayed at Hotel park , which i would say was average, the meals that we had there were also okayish ( One can avoid staying at that place, if any better place is available). Then immigration was done the next day , Everything was managed by travellers paradise (and we didn't had to care much about that, which gave us time to discover phuntsholing). Must visit to Kizom's cafe in phuntsholing. Then we proceeded for thimphu (the capital), the hotel -" Peaceful resort" - An amazing place to stay with generous staff and decent and tasty food (Highly recommended). The driver bhaiya took us to every tourist spot and guided us what all should we cover. And he himself managed the immigration to punakha, while we discovered the markets and chilled. But the down point of the trip was the miscommunication or the gap in understanding by the agent for inclusion of punakha in the itinerary, which was discussed a lot many times, and thus we got the immigration only till douchula pass - 'So i would suggest to go through the itinerary word by word and make sure each and every place is outrightly mentioned and discuss with driver what all will be covered', after that we proceeded to the prettiest place - Paro, a small and peaceful place- The hotel provided was Kuenphen resort - Okayish not so amazing, breakfast was pathetic. But the place itself makes you fall in love, the museum and the dzong - must visit places. Tigers Nest trek was the highlight. The Positives : 1. Humble and considerate agent 2. Clean and comfy car with a nice and punctual driver 3. Amazing hotel at Thimphu - Peaceful Resort 4. Everything covered in a ordered way The down points : 1. Okayish hotels at phuntsholing and paro 2. Miscommunication for punakha visit In the end, Bhutan is a very pretty and peaceful place to visit and our trip was properly planned by the agency. So highly Recommended. A must do trip, once in your lifetime.

        • Trip to Bhutan

We really had a wonderful journey of 7-days to Bhutan. We would like to thank Ms Khina Maya of Bhutan INC for making all the arrangements good. All the resorts/hotels were of our choice and Bhutan INC made sure that I get the best located rooms. Tenzin, our driver-cum-guide was very calm, honest and interesting person. Special thanks to Tenzin for making our trip memorable. Sharing my experience: Clean, green and peaceful mountains are the highlights of Bhutan. Hiking to Tiger’s nest was a great experience, visits to simply Bhutan museum, Dochula Pass, Punakha fortress, fertility temple, and Paro Museum were other attractions. Food in almost all the resorts was not good but local food in town was delicious. Alcohol is available in almost every restaurant of Bhutan, must give a try to K5-wiskey (best in local brands) and druk-11000 beer. Do not try Takin-red wine, it is very sweet and waste of money rather try local rice wine. Stayed in Druk hotel Phuntsholing (good breakfast), Ramada Valley Thimpu (modern ambiance and good river side location but really bad food including breakfast, do not try Indian food over here), RKPO green resort Punakha (looks like best in town in terms of facilities, really bad food including breakfast, do not even try local cuisine), Tashi Namgay Resort Paro (great location along the river side and in front of airport, cottages are quite old and definitely need renovation, bad breakfast options so did not try food later) and Hotel GaMeGa Phuntsholing (recently built so rooms are modern and cozy, pathetic breakfast with very few options). Happy journey to the tourists visiting Bhutan. Best wishes to Bhutan INC.

        • Trip to Bhutan

Initially we were hesitant to make booking from Travel Triangle and AD tours and travels. After reading testimonials in Travel triangle and speaking with Damber (Indian tour agent) I felt this might be the travels to pick for our trip. Though there was speck of suspicion about the quality of services, till we reach Bhutan (Phuntsholing), their amicable reception, amiable driver and docile guide ebbed away our fears. Hotels/Resorts booked are wonderful especially Pema Karpo @ Punakha and Galing Resort @ Paro. During last day of trip, we were tired and reluctant to go for hike of "Tiger Nest Monastery" and informed same to them. They have arranged alternative of Chele La Pass, place to be relished for all nature lovers. The travels personnel are very flexible in the itinerary. Overall it was memorable trip and I would strongly recommend AD Tours & Travels for their exceptional service. River-facing hotel/resort rooms at Paro and Punakha. Of course Chele la and Dochula Passes.
