    Thailand Family Holiday Packages

This 6 nights, 7 days Thailand family tour package takes you and the kids across three of the country's most family-friendly bases: Phuket for the beaches, Krabi for gentle island-hopping, and Bangkok for the parks and shows. The pace is deliberately relaxed. Long transfers are handled for you, the two boat days sit early in the trip when everyone is fresh, and the biggest kid-magnet, Safari World and Marine Park, lands near the end as the finale. You fly into Bangkok, connect straight to Phuket on an included domestic flight, and end back in Bangkok, so there is no doubling back.

Every departure is customisable. Traveling with a toddler and want to drop a boat day? Have teenagers who would rather do an elephant sanctuary or the Alcazar cabaret? Your itinerary is rebuilt around your family before you pay. The price on this page, Rs 57,000 per person, is the fuller family version with the domestic flight and all the sightseeing bundled in, which is why it sits above bare land-only Thailand deals.

What's Included and How Family Pricing Works

The headline fare is per adult on twin-sharing. Children are priced by age, and where a child shares the existing room without an extra bed the saving is significant. Your final quote is confirmed against live hotel and flight rates for your dates before you pay.

Child fares depend on the hotel's own child policy and whether an airline seat is needed, so the exact number comes with your quote. There is no hidden single-child surcharge. Ask about the family-of-four room where two kids share with parents, which is usually the cheapest way to travel.

    Day-by-day Family Itinerary

Seven days, structured so each morning has one clear highlight and the afternoons stay loose enough for pool time or an early night with the kids.

Day 1: Arrive Bangkok, fly to Phuket

Land at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi airport, clear immigration, and connect to your included domestic flight to Phuket. Our representative meets you and transfers you privately to the hotel. The rest of the day is yours, so unpack, let the kids swim, and take a slow first walk along the beach or the nearby market for a bite of local food. Nothing is scheduled, which is exactly what a family needs after a travel day.

Kid note: an easy arrival day with no early start. Keep snacks and a change of clothes in your cabin bag for the connecting flight.

Day 2: Phi Phi Island by big boat, with lunch

After breakfast you head out on a full-day big-boat cruise to the Phi Phi Islands, one of the most photographed corners of the Andaman Sea. Lunch is served on board. You will pass Maya Bay, Loh Samah Bay, Pileh Cove and the Viking Cave, with stops for snorkelling in calm, shallow water where kids can see fish straight off the boat. The big boat is steadier and drier than the small speedboats, which is why we use it for families. Back in Phuket for the night.

Kid note: the big boat is the gentler choice for younger children and anyone prone to seasickness. Life jackets are provided; reef-safe sunscreen and a rash guard are worth packing.

Day 3: Ferry across to Krabi

A relaxed morning, then an easy ferry ride to Krabi with the sea breeze on your face. It is a scenic crossing rather than a long slog. On arrival you check in and the rest of the day is at leisure, so families usually settle into the pool or wander the low-key beachfront. A good recovery day between the two boat trips.

Kid note: a light day on purpose. Krabi's calmer, shallower beaches suit toddlers better than Phuket's busier stretches.

Day 4: Krabi 4-Island tour by long-tail boat, with lunch

Today is the classic Krabi four-island hop by traditional long-tail boat, with lunch included. You visit Phra Nang Cave beach, Tup Island (famous for the sandbar you can walk across at low tide), Chicken Island and Poda Island. There is plenty of swimming, snorkelling and sandcastle time, with clear water and easy coral for kids to spot fish. Back to the hotel afterwards.

Kid note: the low-tide sandbar between Tup and Chicken islands is a hit with children. Water shoes help on the rockier entry points.

    Day 5: Fly to Bangkok

After breakfast you check out and transfer to the airport for the short flight to Bangkok. On arrival you are met and transferred to your city hotel, with the evening free. Families often use this evening for an early dinner and the hotel pool before the big park day tomorrow.

Kid note: an easy transfer day. If your kids still have energy, the hotel area is a gentle place for a first taste of Bangkok street food.

Day 6: Safari World and Marine Park, plus Bangkok city tour

The day the kids will remember. Safari World is an open drive-through zoo where you see giraffes, zebras and big cats up close, and the adjoining Marine Park runs the shows: dolphins, the orangutan boxing show, the sea-lion show and a cheeky ape performance. Your package also covers a Bangkok city tour and entry to Madame Tussauds and SEA Life Ocean World, so there is a full day of family entertainment here. Back to the hotel for the night.

Kid note: Safari World is the single biggest kid-highlight of the trip. Arrive for the first dolphin show, and carry water and a hat, as the marine section is largely open-air.

    Day 7: Depart Bangkok

After breakfast you check out and transfer to the airport for your flight home, with a week of beaches, boats and shows behind you.

Kid note: build in buffer time. If your flight is late, ask about a half-day room extension so the kids can rest before the airport.

Want to swap a beach day for an elephant sanctuary, add a Chao Phraya dinner cruise, or trade Krabi for Pattaya? Every day above can be rebuilt around your family's ages and interests before you book.

The Best Family Activities on This Thailand Trip

Thailand is one of the easiest long-haul destinations to travel with children, and this route is built around the attractions that work for mixed ages. Here is what each highlight actually offers a family.

Safari World and Marine Park, Bangkok

The trip's centrepiece for kids. Safari World is a drive-through open zoo, and Marine Park bundles the dolphin show, the sea-lion show and the orangutan show into one ticketed park. Plan a full day; it is the attraction children ask to go back to.

Phi Phi and the Krabi four islands

Two gentle boat days rather than one exhausting one. The Phi Phi cruise uses a big boat with lunch and calm snorkelling spots; the Krabi long-tail hop visits Tup Island's walk-across sandbar, Chicken Island and Poda, all with shallow, clear water where younger kids can paddle and spot fish.

Madame Tussauds and SEA Life Ocean World

Both sit in central Bangkok and are already covered in your package. SEA Life's underwater tunnel is a reliable win with under-10s, and Madame Tussauds keeps teenagers entertained on a hot afternoon.

    Easy add-ons families ask for

If you want to shape the trip further, the most popular family add-ons are an ethical elephant sanctuary visit (feeding and bathing, no riding), the Nong Nooch tropical garden and cultural show, a Coral Island beach day, a Chao Phraya river dinner cruise, and the family-marketed Alcazar cabaret in Pattaya. Any of these can replace a leisure block. For the full menu of Thailand experiences, see our Thailand travel guide and browse every Thailand tour package.

Family-friendly Hotels and Food for Indian Families

You stay in three comfortable, family-tested properties, one per base, all with pools and family rooms:

    • Sea Sun Sand Resort & Spa (Phuket). A beachfront resort with a pool, close to the sand for easy in-and-out with kids.
    • Centra by Centara Phu Pano Resort, Krabi (Krabi). A relaxed resort stay for the island-hopping leg.
    • Ramada D'MA Bangkok (Bangkok). A central city hotel, handy for the park day and Madame Tussauds.

Hotels are confirmed to the same category or better for your dates. Prefer a specific chain, connecting rooms, or a family suite? Say so and we will build it in.

On food, breakfast is included daily and every hotel lays out a wide spread. Indian and vegetarian food is easy to find across Phuket, Krabi and Bangkok, and there are dedicated Indian restaurants in all three cities, so fussy young eaters are well covered. Tell us about any dietary needs and we will flag hotels and restaurants that suit.

Visa 2026, Best Time To Visit and How To Reach

Do Indians need a visa for Thailand in 2026?

Indian passport holders can currently enter Thailand visa-free for stays of up to 30 days for tourism, so there is no visa fee for a 7-day family trip. Before you fly, every traveller (including children) must fill in the free online Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 3 days of arrival; carry the confirmation. If you plan to stay longer than 30 days, apply for a tourist visa at a Thai visa centre in India. Thailand's entry rules have changed more than once recently, so reconfirm the current rule close to your travel date.

Best time for a family trip

Go between November and March. The weather is cool and dry, the seas are calm for the Phi Phi and Krabi boat days, and it suits kids best. April and May are very hot and humid, and June to October brings frequent heavy rain that can cancel island tours. If school holidays force a summer trip, we lean the itinerary toward Bangkok's indoor attractions.

    How to reach

Direct and one-stop flights run to Bangkok from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and other metros; the Bangkok–Phuket domestic leg is included in this package. International airfare to Thailand is not included, so you can use your own miles or preferred carrier.

    Cancellation and Payment

This is a customisable package, so the exact terms are set when your itinerary and hotels are locked, but the standard shape is a refundable window after booking, a tiered charge as you approach the travel date, and no refund on no-shows. Flights and any non-refundable hotel nights follow the airline's and hotel's own rules. Your travel expert confirms the precise free-cancellation window and refund percentages in writing before you pay.

Why Families Book This Trip With TravelTriangle

Every itinerary is built and quoted by a real Thailand travel expert, not a fixed template, and you compare multiple agent quotes before you choose. The families who travel on this package are verified bookers, and their reviews sit further down this page.

"For families I always route the Phi Phi day on the big boat, not the speedboat, and keep the Krabi four-island hop for later in the trip when the kids have found their sea legs. It cuts the seasickness complaints to almost nothing," says a TravelTriangle Thailand travel expert.

Fares and inclusions on this page are checked by our Thailand desk against live hotel and airline rates before every quote.

      FAQs About Thailand Family Packages

How much does a 7-day Thailand family trip from India cost?

This 6N/7D family package is ₹57,000 per person for adults on twin-sharing (₹62,637 before discount), with reduced child fares by age band. That covers the Bangkok–Phuket domestic flight, 6 nights of hotels, daily breakfast, the Phi Phi and Krabi boat tours, Safari World and Marine Park, Madame Tussauds, SEA Life and all private transfers. International airfare and visa-free TDAC registration are separate. A family of four typically pays less per head once children share a room.

Is Thailand a good destination for families and kids?

Yes, it is one of the easiest long-haul trips to do with children. Distances between the Phuket, Krabi and Bangkok legs are short, transfers are private and handled for you, and the headline attractions (Safari World, Marine Park, SEA Life, gentle island snorkelling) are built for kids. Indian and vegetarian food is widely available, hotels offer family rooms, and locals are famously warm with children. The pace on this itinerary is deliberately relaxed with pool time built in.

Which activities on this trip are suitable for young kids, and what's the child pricing?

The big kid-wins are Safari World and Marine Park (drive-through zoo plus dolphin and sea-lion shows), SEA Life's underwater tunnel, and the calm big-boat snorkelling at Phi Phi. The Krabi long-tail hop has a shallow walk-across sandbar that toddlers love. Children are priced by age: roughly 85–90% of the adult fare for ages 6–11 with a bed, and far less for under-5s sharing without a bed. Infants travel for little more than taxes. Exact child fares come with your quote.

Is 7 days enough for a Thailand family holiday?

Seven days is the sweet spot for a first family trip. It comfortably covers one beach base (Phuket), one island-hopping base (Krabi) and Bangkok's parks and shows without feeling rushed, which is exactly how this itinerary is paced. If you have more time, families usually add Pattaya for the Nong Nooch garden and Alcazar show, or an elephant sanctuary day; we can extend the package to 8 or 9 nights.

Which is better for a family, Phuket or Krabi?

You get both on this trip, and they play different roles. Phuket is livelier with more dining, shopping and the Phi Phi big-boat cruise, which suits families with older kids and teens. Krabi is quieter with calmer, shallower beaches and the gentle four-island long-tail hop, which suits younger children. Doing them back to back, Phuket first then Krabi, gives you energy up front and a calmer wind-down.

What is the visa process for Indian families visiting Thailand in 2026?

For a trip of this length there is no visa fee: Indian passport holders currently get visa-free entry for up to 30 days. The one required step is the free online Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), filled in for every traveller including children within 3 days before arrival; keep the confirmation to show on landing. For stays beyond 30 days you would apply for a tourist visa in India. Thai entry rules have changed more than once lately, so reconfirm before you fly.

Can I customise this family itinerary?

Yes, completely. Every day is adjustable before you pay. You can drop a boat day for a toddler, swap Krabi for Pattaya, add an ethical elephant sanctuary, a Chao Phraya dinner cruise or the Alcazar cabaret, upgrade to a family suite or connecting rooms, or change the hotel category. Your travel expert rebuilds the plan and quote around your family's ages and interests.

When is the best time for a family Thailand trip?

November to March is ideal: cool, dry weather and calm seas for the island days, which matters most with kids on boats. April and May are very hot, and June to October sees heavy rain that can cancel island tours. If you can only travel in the school summer holidays, we shift the plan toward Bangkok's indoor attractions and the more sheltered beaches.

I highly recommend their services to anyone planning a trip to Thailand or elsewhere. We are already looking forward to booking our next holiday with them!

TripTrail made my 7 day Thailand trip across Bangkok, Krabi and Phuket feel effortless. Yugal and his team were clear and quick in their support from the start and stayed available through the entire trip even with the time difference. They adjusted the plan whenever I needed something changed and m
ade sure everything moved smoothly. I genuinely appreciate the care and attention they put into the experience. I would gladly recommend them to anyone planning a trip.

A very wonderful trip to Thailand planned by TravTree Holidays and especially by Reeti Verma. A perfect itinerary for a family trip to Phuket, Krabi , Pattaya and Bangkok . She has been very patient with us for the last 2 months. She planned everything as per our needs . I will definitely recommend
them for travel plans because these people are very much customer centric. They have arranged a local guide who gave us a daily itinerary. The highlight of our trip was the perfect Itinerary . I would love to suggest TravTree Holidays for my next Trip Soon. Looking forward to our next trip.. We will definitely go with TravTree Holidays.

Haaris Shamim from TravelTriangle was utterly useless when I was facing an issue with ASAP Holidays having booked my Phi Phi islands trip on a day which I had not confirmed. Fortunately, ASAP holidays managed to resolve the issue. In addition, no one from ASAP holidays advised me to get at least si
lver class tickets from Sea Angel for the Phi Phi islands trip. Also, Samosa Express was the worst Indian restaurant I had seen in the whole trip. The bathroom did not even have running water and the food was miserable. I am very upset with TravelTriangle for having appointed such a useless Travel Agent like Haaris who wasn't even responding to his emails. I am happy with some aspects of ASAP holidays for their coordination but I'm upset with their "chaltha hai" attitude of fixing activities and not trying to suggest ferry seating upgrades or better restaurants to their clients during activities.

As we have opted for a better package phiphi island tour should have been given by speedboat instead of a ferry which is meant for 500passengers...so we skipped it...apart from this everything was awesome. Ananta burin krabi waterpark ..we had lots of fun ..amazing ambience..n having a pool bar made

We had the entire Thailand trip customized per our needs by I Need Trip, follow up was good prior to and after the booking. Everything was good, except the time of few of the cabs that they had booked, couple of sightseeing SIC transfers were delayed without any intimation. Towards the end of the
trip, the trip coordinator stopped picking up calls, there wasn't much support provided by them whenever we needed them. 1. SIC cab was delayed by 90 mins one day without intimation. 2. Private cab to Airport from Krabi was booked at 7am for a 11 am domestic flight, leaving us no room for breakfast as resort breakfast opened at 7. 3. Private cab from DMK airport to our hotel was booked 3 hours after our arrival, for God knows what joy Please double check the cab vouchers and rework with these people if you do choose them; also *DO NOT* rely on the trip coordinator, they rarely care once you are on the trip.
