Day 1: Port Blair: Arrival & Cellular Jail
Your 7 Nights 8 Days Andaman trip begins as you land at Veer Savarkar International Airport (IXZ) in Port Blair. Our representative meets you at arrivals and transfers you by private vehicle to your hotel for check-in. After a short rest, head to Corbyn's Cove, Port Blair's closest beach, a quiet coconut-lined cove good for a first walk by the sea. In the late afternoon, visit the Cellular Jail National Memorial, the colonial-era "Kala Pani" prison, where you can walk the surviving cell wings and the central watchtower. Stay on for the evening Cellular Jail Light & Sound show (around 6–7 pm), which narrates the story of the freedom fighters imprisoned here. Drive back to your hotel in Port Blair for an overnight stay. Dinner is included.
Day 2: Port Blair: Ross & North Bay Islands
After breakfast, transfer to the jetty and board a ferry for a half-day excursion to two islands off Port Blair. First is Ross Island (now Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep), once the British administrative headquarters of the Andamans, wander the moss-covered ruins of the church, bakery and chief commissioner's bungalow, and watch for the resident deer and peacocks. Next, cruise to North Bay Island, the best-known reef-viewing spot close to Port Blair: take a glass-bottom boat ride over the coral gardens, or add optional snorkelling, sea-walking or a short scuba session (payable locally). Return by ferry to Port Blair by evening for an overnight stay. Note: North Bay Island is closed on Wednesdays, your plan will be re-sequenced if your Day 2 falls on a Wednesday. Breakfast is included.
Day 3: Port Blair → Havelock (Swaraj Dweep): Radhanagar Beach
After breakfast, transfer to the jetty for the cruise to Havelock Island (officially Swaraj Dweep), about 1.5–2 hours by air-conditioned catamaran ferry from Port Blair. On arrival, check in to your Havelock hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, head to Radhanagar Beach (Beach No. 7), repeatedly rated among Asia's best beaches, with white sand, shallow turquoise water for swimming and one of the finest sunsets in the islands. On the way back, you can also stop at the quieter Kala Pathar Beach, named for the black rocks along its shore. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay on Havelock. Note: paid showers and changing-room facilities are available at Radhanagar Beach; carry cash. Breakfast is included.
Day 4: Havelock: Elephant Beach & Water Activities
A full day on Havelock for the islands' best water experiences. After breakfast, take a short boat ride (or a guided jungle walk) to Elephant Beach, Havelock's top spot for shallow-reef snorkelling and a string of water sports, glass-bottom boats, jet-skis and banana-boat rides over clear water. Certified and beginner scuba diving, sea-walking and snorkelling are all available here and at the dive centres near the main jetty; these are optional add-ons paid locally or pre-booked with your package. Spend the rest of the day at leisure on Havelock's beaches before an overnight stay. Note: scuba, sea-walk and snorkelling prices are not part of the base package, confirm rates when you customise. Breakfast is included.
Day 5: Havelock → Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep)
After breakfast, check out and board a short ferry from Havelock to Neil Island (officially Shaheed Dweep), the smallest and most laid-back of the three islands, roughly an hour away. Check in to your Neil hotel and settle in, then explore Neil's three signature beaches: Bharatpur Beach, the island's liveliest, good for glass-bottom boat rides and water sports over a shallow reef; Laxmanpur Beach, a long sweep of white sand famous for its sunset and shell-strewn shore; and the Natural Bridge (also called Howrah Bridge), a coral-rock arch best seen at low tide, check the day's tide timings before you go. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay on Neil Island. Breakfast is included.
Day 6: Neil Island → Port Blair: Leisure & Sightseeing
After breakfast, check out and take the ferry back to Port Blair. On arrival, check in to your hotel and rest. The rest of the day is at leisure, with options depending on your ferry timing: drive out to Chidiya Tapu (about 25 km / 45 minutes), the "sunset point" of Port Blair, for birdwatching and a quiet evening by the sea; or visit the Samudrika Naval Marine Museum and the Anthropological Museum to understand the islands' marine life and tribal heritage; or shop at Aberdeen Bazaar and the Sagarika government emporium for pearls, shells and Andaman wood crafts. Overnight stay in Port Blair. Breakfast is included.
Day 7: Port Blair Leisure / Optional Baratang Day Trip
With a full week behind you, Day 7 is yours to use. The most rewarding option is a Baratang Island day trip (an early start, about 100 km / 3 hours each way from Port Blair, crossing the Jarawa Tribal Reserve in a government-escorted vehicle convoy): a short boat ride through mangrove creeks brings you to the limestone caves, and there is also a mud volcano nearby, a rare geological sight in India. Prefer a slower day? Stay in Port Blair for Ross Island if you missed it, the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park boat trip from Wandoor, or relaxed last-minute shopping at Aberdeen Bazaar. Overnight stay in Port Blair. Breakfast is included.
Day 8: Port Blair: Departure
Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel, then complete check-out. Depending on your flight time, you may have room for last-minute souvenir shopping near the hotel, pearls, shell craft and Andaman wood items make easy gifts. Our representative transfers you to Veer Savarkar International Airport (IXZ) in good time for your departure flight to the mainland, wrapping up your 7 Nights 8 Days Andaman trip. Tip: keep your boarding pass and a photo ID handy, security at Port Blair airport can be slow at peak departure hours. Breakfast is included.

Is 8 Days Enough for Andaman? (Direct Answer)
Yes, 8 days is the ideal length for a first Andaman trip. Seven nights lets you cover all three headline islands (Port Blair, Havelock and Neil) at an unhurried pace, with a full water-activities day on Havelock and a leisure buffer in Port Blair, and still leaves room to add a Baratang limestone-caves day trip. Shorter 5N/6D or 4N/5D trips drop Neil or compress Havelock; 8 days is the sweet spot that fits everything without rushing the ferries.

Best Time to Do This 7N/8D Trip
The Andamans are a year-round destination, but October to mid-May is the most reliable window for this itinerary, calm seas, dependable inter-island ferries to Havelock and Neil, and clear water for snorkelling and scuba. December–January is peak season (highest demand and rates); the cheapest fares usually fall in the monsoon shoulder (June–September), when occasional rough seas can disrupt ferry crossings, so build in a buffer. For the best balance of weather and price, target the October–November or February–March shoulders.
