Start your second day in Bhutan with a delicious breakfast meal. Now, go sightseeing and enjoy your day to the fullest. Your sightseeing tour will begin at Tashichhoedzong which is the seat of the Government. Next, you will visit the famous Buddha Point where you will be spellbound by the 51.5 meters high Buddha Dordenma statue. Made of bronze and gold, this is one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world and it is erected on a hill in Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park. Enjoy the surrounding nature with your tour package.

From here you will be driven to Sangay Gang and on the way, you will visit the Takin Zoo. Once you reach Snagay Gang, you will visit the Bhutan Textile Museum which is responsible for sustaining and promoting Bhutan’s art of weaving. Today, post your breakfast, you will check-out form the hotel and head to the beautiful Punakha Valley where you will spend the day enjoying its local sightseeing spots. Enroute you will be passing through the stunning Dochula Pass. As you reach the top of the pass, you will see 108 Druk Wangyal chortens draped in colorful flags. Take a break in Lamperi to visit the Royal Botanical Park. After visiting the park, your next place of visit is Chimmi Lhakhang. Take a leisure stroll through the picturesque villages while listening to your guide narrating the exciting tales of the place.

In the afternoon, you will visit the magnanimous Punakha Dzong which is constructed strategically at the junction of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu Rivers. Add a dash of adventure to your trip as you take a walk on Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge.

In the evening, you can spend some time buying souvenirs and other knick-knacks for your loved ones back home. After you are done with your shopping, check-in to your hotel and enjoy a well-deserved and relaxing overnight stay.

Explore the offerings of Phobjikha and enjoy a leisure day

As per this Bhutan itinerary, you will be visiting the town of Phobjikha today. Post your breakfast, you will first visit Chimi Lhakhang. Next, you will visit Wangdi ruin Dzong and then finally reach Phobjikha which is located 3140 m above the pass. Once you reach here, you will continue your sightseeing tour by visiting Gangtey Gompa. This Gompa is the one and only and the largest monastery of the Nyingmapa sect in western Bhutan.

After enjoying the stunning views around the monastery, it is time to visit the Black-necked Crane Center. After spending a considerable amount of time here, it is time to return to Punakha. The remaining part of the day is as per your perusal - explore Punakha on your own. You could take a stroll down the local markets or maybe relax and unwind after a long day. Today, you will be driven to the popular town of Paro. Enjoy your hearty breakfast and then sit back and enjoy your drive to Paro. On the way, you will visit Simtokha Dzong which is one of Bhutan’s oldest Dzong. Today, it houses the Institute for Language and Culture Studies. In the afternoon, after reaching Paro, you will visit the Ta Dzong. Initially built as a watchtower to defend the Rinpung Dzong, this Dzong was later declared as Bhutan’s National Museum.

Now, take a stroll down the Rinpung Dzong through a traditional covered bridge called Nemi Zam. After all the touring, you will check-in to your hotel for a cozy and comfortable overnight stay.

Trek up to one of the most iconic temples in the world – Tiger’s Nest Temple

As per this itinerary, you will spend your day today at one of the most iconic temples in the world – the Tiger’s Nest Temple. Also known as Taktshang Goemba or Paro Taktsang, this monastery is one of the most famous monasteries in Bhutan. Located on the edge of a cliff, trekking to this temple is not for the faint-hearted ones. A short excursion to Chela La Pass awaits you today

After you are done with your delicious breakfast, you will be taken on a short excursion to the Chela La Pass. This is one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan which sits at an elevation of 3.988 meters. Enjoy the surrounding nature as you make your way through the pass. Do not forget to capture the mighty Mt. Jomolhari which is a sacred mountain of Bhutan and Jichu Drake.

In the afternoon you will be driven to Drukgyel Dzong which is a ruined fortress. On your way to the Dzong, you will have a stunning view of the sacred Chomolhari which is also known as the “mountain of the goddess”. After this, go to Kyichu Lhakhang.

Spend your evening exploring the markets of Paro and then in the night, head back to your hotel for a good night’s sleep.
