    Overview

Are you searching for a place to visit this June where you’ll get to experience so much of history and tradition in one place? And also marvel at technology from over a hundred years ago? Then you most definitely should take a visit to the wonderful city of Jaipur in June. The city was founded in 1727 by the Rajput ruler Jai Singh II and after British colonial rule, Jaipur became the capital of a new state, Rajasthan. Also, the population of Jaipur was estimated as of 2011, to be 3.1 million people, thus making it Rajasthan’s largest city and India’s 10th most populous city.

Many locals and tourists famously call Jaipur the pink city and you might wonder why. This is because a large percentage of buildings and houses in the city are painted in terra-cotta or earth-like pink color, which gives off different shades that range from pink to a brownish red. It’s also said that there is a local law that instructs that the buildings in Jaipur should be painted in pink. How and why the pink buildings? The idea was copied from the red sandstone culture of the Maugham Cities, and again under the direction of the Maharajah (Sawai Ram Singh), Jaipur buildings were painted in pink when the Prince of Wales, Prince Albert, came to visit Jaipur in 1876 during his tour of India. The Maharajah being one of the richest and most powerful men in India then, wanted to strengthen his ties with the British Royal families and high officials so as to also gain personal acquaintance and Favour with the British colony, he first ensured Prince Albert would visit Jaipur and then constructed a lavish concert hall — the Albert Hall — named after the Prince of Wales. Then he proceeded to paint the city in the uniform color of pink, and all these were done to impress the prince. If you embark on a Jaipur visit in June, you will notice that the modern day buildings are still being painted in pink. This is because one of the Maharajah’s favorite wives enjoyed the color pink, and so she persuaded him to pass into law, that all buildings in Jaipur must be painted in pink and building which didn’t stick to the standard were considered illegal.

You will get to see many other fascinating buildings and historical monuments when you visit Jaipur in June, but not only these. As a tourist, your patience could be tested in different ways, from the noise pollution to the environmental pollutants and even the many touts and hawkers who may want to sell things to you once they realize you’re a tourist. So many tourists would have to learn to deal with the exciting parts of their tour and the other rigorous aspects of getting used to life in Jaipur.

You should embark on this exploration by going to visit Jaipur in June so you can explore the Jantar Mantar and the Amer Fort, both of which are UNESCO world heritage sites. These are not the only festivals but Jaipur has two very important festivals and these are the Makar Sankranti festival (the kite festival) and the Elephant Festival. Due to the reverence of elephants and the symbolical roles of elephants to Indians, during the Elephant Festival, elephants are decorated with colors and fancy fabrics. They’re celebrated and paraded around the streets.

Top places you can visit in Jaipur are the Amer Fort, the Birla Temple, the Nahargarh Fort, Chokhi Dhani, Jouhari Bazaar and other places of interest. Many visitors and tourists like to also stop around the Amer-Jaipur road so as to have a lovely view of the Jal Mahal Palace and its Lake Man Sagar. The Jal Mahal Palace is located at the center of the lake, which is a beautiful and artificial lake. The golden yellowish contrast of the Jal Mahal Palace sitting atop the blue of the Lake makes for a very picturesque view. Other interesting and random facts which you should know if you’re thinking of going on a Jaipur visit in June are that: Jaipur was India’s first planned city and some people often refer to it as the Royal city. A tour of the Pink City of Jaipur in June will be a worthy trip!

Both the trip and Trip sailer support was good. Lets also share +/- about trip. Positive: 1. The cab and cab driver [Bhawani Singh] was great, and very helping nature. 2. Food of both the hotels were superb. Needs to improvement: 1. As I have booked the trip request much in-advance, the expectati
on was to get the best safari zone to visit, but the Safari zone (Zone 7) given to me had a really bad route. Strictly No-No, if you are travelling with small kid. This should be taken care by agent and guest should be better updated on this. 2. With past travel experience, I somewhere know that when we book the rooms from agents v/s we book the rooms directly; the hotel keeps the separate rooms. And the same thing happened in Jaipur, it was a corner room, where the tap, hand shower were not working; also there was tore plastic sheet in bathroom partition, which can anytime hurt the guest. The same was informed to hotel reception. 3. When you pay for the trip, which also means the planning remains with trip agent. But, agent shared the coordinator name [cab/safari], where guest needs to contact them for any further lead and planning. This should be well managed.

Overall the trip was ok , while we see there is a lot of scope for improvement, We were not happy with the recommendations completely. The Hotel in Delhi was good, the Agra hotel was decent for 3*, but was expecting more from a 4* hotel in Jaipur as lot of hype was given during booking and package
cost for made high considering this, except for the room the hotel was not upto mark. The bad thing was the cab, the operator did tell me that it will be swift dzire but did not tell us that it is CNG and we have keep our language on top. It was raining in delhi during our visit and we literally had to keep the luggage under our leges making it very uncomfortable to sit, the driver did not have anything to protect luggage from rain. Overall it was decent trip , i would think twice if i have to book from same operator. The best part of the trip was the support from the Driver.

I highly recommend Ganesham Tours and Travel. They had planned the trip very well including all the places I wanted to visit including Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Ranthambore. Mr. Saurabh was very attentive and provided good support throughout the trip. The hotels were good except for Hotel Sanjay Villa
s which was not that great due to hygiene issues. hotel kuchaman and ankur we're perfect for short stay. Dessert camp was average. The major let down of the trip was the driver who was not at all interested in showing us the places. He was more interested in things not present in the itinerary as he can make extra money in those trips. He used to force us to try additional services like dessert Safari outside the camp which was charged thrice the price. Apart from this he was a safe driver but his behavior was not welcoming. Jungle Safari was best. We saw the majestic wild cat. It was surreal experience.

We went on a family tour to Rajasthan on 12-22 October 2021 on contract with Kingsland Holiday. We had a beautiful experience. The hotels booked by the agency were really nice. We had a comfortable stay and the hospitality was really commendable. Mr. Asran and Mr. Rohit From Kingsland Holiday is v
ery gentleman and co-operative. For almost last 2 years we grew a good relation and were always assisted by them till the end of the tour. We hired a car for our traveling through Kingsland Holiday. The car service was very good. The driver cum tour guide Mr. Kuldeep Singh Rathore was very helpful and responsible. He managed to cover all the destinations in time and also provided us with good guides for specific destinations. Our overall experience with Kingsland Holiday was wonderful. We will always recommend Kingsland Holiday to all our friends and also will avail their services for all our future tours.

Multiple layers of travel agents cuts down the quality of hotels, we ended up staying at a hosteler/backpackers place at Hotel Tokyo palace, jaisalmer, then at a Oyo hotel at a highway in jodhpur (they could have put us anywhere in jodhpur but chose the dark and duty highway), had a family with 2 s
mall kids...to add to it there was no ccordiantion between the travel agent and the hotel and the hotel reception asked us to pay Rs 2500 upfront when we had paid all installments....Then they put us up at Hotel Sagar, the funny part this hotel has no reception and there is one desk and the person sitting there behaves as if he is the landlord than a customer friendly reception deck...Bottomline introduction of multiple travel agents cut down the quality of hotel..travel triangle to tripsailor, tripsailor to xyz travel agent or probably more ended up my family getting an oyo rather than 3 star hotel promised...the driver kunwar singh was an excellent human being..do ask for him if you want to have a pleasant trip..very well behaved chap...they replaced the driver in last day and he was not good..refused to take cabs at some places..asking us to take auto instead...
