What Makes This Package Different
There are two Surat to Kullu-Manali trips on our site and they suit different travellers. The other one bundles a round AC Volvo coach from Surat and lands around Rs 24,479 per person, which is right if you want the whole journey handled door to door. This one is the land-only build. You fly or take the train to Chandigarh or Bhuntar on your own dates and price, and from the moment you arrive in Himachal the ground is ours. Families who already have return flights, and small groups who want to split a private cab, usually save the most this way.
The itinerary also does something the standard Manali circuit skips: a full day north through the Atal Tunnel to Sissu in the Lahaul valley. At 9.02 km the tunnel is one of the longest highway tunnels above 10,000 ft, and it drops you into a greener, quieter valley on the far side of the Rohtang range in under an hour. Most budget packages never leave the Manali side. This one does.

Your 5-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Manali
We meet you at Chandigarh or Bhuntar and drive up to Manali, checking in by evening. The road follows the Beas river for the last few hours, so keep your camera handy. Settle in, then walk Old Manali or the Mall Road for a first dinner. Overnight in Manali.
Day 2: Manali local and Solang Valley
Morning at the 500-year-old Hadimba Devi temple in its cedar grove, then the Manu temple and the Tibetan monastery in the old town. After lunch, drive 14 km to Solang Valley, the adventure meadow below the peaks. Paragliding, the ropeway and zorbing run here in season and are paid on the spot. Back in Manali by evening. Overnight in Manali.
Day 3: Atal Tunnel, Sissu and the Rohtang stretch
The big day. Drive north through the Atal Tunnel and come out in the Lahaul valley at Sissu, where the Sissu waterfall and a calm reservoir sit under snow peaks. This is the standout that the usual Manali package leaves out. On the way back you take in the Rohtang-side viewpoints and snow points when the road is open. Rohtang Pass itself needs a permit and stays shut through winter and in bad weather, so the stop flexes with conditions on the day. Overnight in Manali.
Day 4: Kullu, Naggar and Manikaran
Head down the valley to Kullu for a look at riverside Kullu town, with optional white-water rafting on the Beas. Stop at Naggar Castle, the old stone-and-wood fort with valley views and the Roerich art gallery. If time allows, carry on to Manikaran in the Parvati valley for its hot springs and the gurudwara. Back to Manali for the last night. Overnight in Manali.
Day 5: Departure
After breakfast and check-out, we transfer you to Chandigarh or Bhuntar for your onward flight or train. Trip ends with the drive back down the Beas valley.

Best Time for This Trip
March to June is peak season with pleasant days, snow still on the high points and every road open, so it is the safest window for the Atal Tunnel and Sissu run. July and August bring the monsoon and the odd landslide day; the valley is green and cheaper but plans can shift. September to November is clear, crisp and quiet, a favourite of ours for photos. December to February is deep winter: Manali and the tunnel usually stay reachable, but Rohtang closes, so confirm before you lock dates.

Arrive at Delhi and make your way towards Manali
You will reach Delhi either by train or plane depending on your comfort around 5 in the evening. At 5.30 pm, you will be picked up and will be deported to Manali in Volvo bus. It will be an overnight journey, and you will arrive at the destination the next morning around 7 am.
