Manali Tour From Jammu (5D/4N) :Overview
If you are setting out from Jammu, Manali is the easiest Himalayan reset within reach: pine forest, the Beas running cold and loud, and enough snow between October and February to fill a camera roll. This 5-day, 4-night package puts three nights in Manali with an overnight AC Volvo on the Delhi leg, so you spend your days in the mountains rather than on paperwork. Skiing at Solang Valley, the wooden Hadimba Temple, the hot springs at Vashisht and a full day up towards Rohtang Pass all sit inside the plan, and every day is yours to change before you pay.

How to Reach Manali from Jammu
Manali is roughly 420 to 490 km from Jammu by road depending on the route, and the drive takes about 11 hours. There is no direct railway line into Manali, so most Jammu travellers either drive straight through, take a bus, or connect through Delhi on the overnight Volvo this package uses. Here is how the options compare.
| Mode | Route and distance | Time | Approx cost | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| By road (private cab) | About 420-490 km via NH-3 and NH-154 | ~11 hours | On request | One long day; a halt at Mandi or Kangra breaks it up |
| By bus | HRTC and private services, direct in season | ~11-13 hours | From Rs 962 (HRTC); Rs 1,399+ for Volvo AC sleeper | Book ahead in peak months; overnight departures are common |
| By train + road | Jammu Tawi to Chandigarh, then about 310 km by road | Rail + ~8 hours road | Varies | No rail line reaches Manali; road is the final leg |
| By air | Fly to Bhuntar (Kullu), 50 km / ~2 hours from Manali; or Chandigarh, ~310 km | Flight + drive | Varies | Bhuntar has limited flights; Chandigarh has far more connections |
For this package specifically, the simplest path from Jammu is to reach the Delhi boarding point (by train or a short flight) and board the overnight AC Volvo, which runs the Delhi to Manali leg and back. If you would rather drive straight from Jammu, tell us and we will rebuild the itinerary around a direct cab.

Jammu to Manali Packages by Duration and Budget
This trip is fully customisable, so the length is up to you. The 4-night plan below is the most popular; shorter and longer versions are easy to arrange, and adding Kasol or Manikaran only needs a night or two more.

| 4N / 5D (this package) | Most travellers | Manali + Solang/Rohtang + Naggar | Rs 24,479 |

| 6N / 7D | Manali + Kullu + Kasol | Wider Kullu valley, more free days | On request |
Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1: Jammu to Delhi, then overnight Volvo to Manali
Make your way from Jammu to the Delhi boarding point by train or a short flight, and reach it by 5:00 PM. At 5:30 PM the AC Volvo departs on the 10 to 14 hour overnight run to Manali, so you sleep through the road miles and wake in the hills. Manali sits on the Beas in Kullu district and is the base for everything that follows: Solang Valley for skiing, the Parvati Valley for treks, and paragliding, mountaineering and river rafting close by.
Day 2: Arrival and local sightseeing
Check in and have breakfast, then head out for the Manali classics. The Hadimba Devi Temple is a 16th-century cedar-wood shrine set among tall deodars in Van Vihar, all carved doorways and wooden walls. From there it is a short hop to Vashisht village on the far bank of the Beas, known for hot springs that locals have long believed help with skin conditions. Spend the evening on Mall Road and in Old Manali's cafe lanes before dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Full-day Solang Valley and Rohtang Pass
This is the big mountain day. Solang Valley opens up glacier views and snow bowls, with skiing, snow-scooter rides, zorbing and a ropeway that lifts you over the slopes. If it is running and permits allow, continue toward Rohtang Pass for the high-altitude snow that most people come to Manali for. Mountain biking and photography stops fill the gaps. Rohtang needs a permit (see exclusions), which we help arrange, and access depends on the season and weather.
Day 4: Naggar and the Kullu side
After breakfast, drive down to Naggar and Kullu. Naggar Castle, a 500-year-old stone-and-wood fort turned heritage property, looks straight across the valley, and the day takes in local temples including Gayatri Mata and the Shiva temple by the art gallery. If you would rather trade this for the Jogini waterfall walk or a run out to Manikaran's hot springs and gurudwara, just say so. Return to Manali for the night.
Day 5: Departure
Check out after breakfast. Our representative handles your transfer for the onward journey back towards Delhi and Jammu, closing out the trip. If you have a later departure, we can add a final morning around Mall Road or the Tibetan Monastery before you leave.
Best Time to Visit Manali from Jammu
For snow, travel between October and February, when Solang and the road up to Rohtang turn white and the winter sports are at their best. For clear, pleasant days and open high passes, March to June is ideal. The monsoon months of July and September can bring landslides on the ghat sections, so build in buffer time if you travel then.
