Our stays at Shimla and Manali were great (in fact, the hotel chosen for Shimla - Grand Welcome - was a last minute choice as everything else was booked and we didn't get anytime to research it. But looking back, this hotel gave us the best experience. Ashapuri at Manali was a good hotel but the architecture was inconvenient for us. Our main issue happened at Dharamshala. The hotel that we booked - Quartz Himalayan Brothers - had very shady vibes - didn't seem like a place where a family would choose to stay. The menu was limited as there was no kitchen in the hotel. They were sourcing the food from elsewhere. Food taste was so-so and we aren't quite sure of the quality as later my son had an upset tummy. We had time and again emphasized to Travel Vichar that we have a senior citizen with us. Yet the hotel refused to give a proper hotel room - saying that "You didn't specify that you wanted mountain view". When we contacted Travel Triangle/Travel Vichar, they said that this is general level of hotels in Dharamshala. To this we say, that the travel agent should have warned us that compared to Shimla and Manali, hotels in Dharamshala is not that great. We should have been offered another alternative or we would have extended our stay in Shimla Manali or whatever. The travel agent didn't even bother to check in with us, despite knowing that we were not comfortable there. In fact, they - the manager - spoke rudely with us, adding insult to injury. What also happened was that Unfortunately, we had a situation late at night - my son had an upset tummy - for which we called the reception. But nobody received the phone, as everybody was asleep. We had to deal with the situation ourselves. Our advice to anyone planning a trip to Himachal is try to avoid Travel Vichar. But this bad experience of the hotel should not take away from the beauty of the place. Dharamshala is a serene place with great views - with a generous scoop of spirituality. Just don't book a hotel through Travel Vichar. Snowfall at Manali - it was an unexpected and memorable. Zip lining and yak rides. White Water rafting at Kullu in the playful Beas river. advance was paid in jan- Feb because he said this will confirm my booking. 2. Also paid my second installment no one informed tht my itenary has changed. 3 few days before my planned trip, Kewal contact me and informs tht he cannot book allure as it was not available, this is 3 months after paying advance. 4.He also advised me to change Dalhousie as it was long and trying journey. 5. Which means now I'm paying 85k for a downgraded hotel and less killometer. 6. I don't want to cancel anything last minute and I agreed on condition that hotel wud be top class. 7. A day before journey I was informed driver would contact me for pickup from Delhi. This didn't happen 8. On the day i tried contacting the agent multiple times and was finally able to make contact with driver. 9.after a long and trying journey reached the hotel assigned, hotel was not bad but the room assigned was average. This was a basic room not what was promised. 10. Regarding itenary driver was not informed about the places. According to divert he was updated the day about my trip. 11. Drive informed that he was not informed about my solang valley and rohtang( this never happened as acc to driver rohtang was closed) so driver took me through atal tunnel and solang and asked me to pay 4,500 as it was not covered according to him if co.pany pays him he will refund that. 12 reach jibhi again I was promised stars and moon and was gives stone. Hotel again good but room provided wa basic not river facing funny part is this time room was booked for 2 adults and child not included Missed out Mt Kewal when I was in Manali threated tht he don't care if I'm satisfied or not but if I don't pay the remaining amount he will cancel my jibi which means on my wife bday iw 7d be left on road. I told I will for sure pay once I look the room provided. He didnt accept. He said if I'm not paying he will cancel jibhi or ask me to pay for manali. Very u professional 13 last but not the least while checking out jibhi hotel informed that co pant has not yet paid them and i shud pay thn for room and kid. nd the hotels with good view under a budget is what Aman good at. He is also good at explaining his thoughts. Our trip included Cab and transfers along with Hotels. And Driver - Goutam Sarkar was really nice person. He used to suggest time to leave the hotel each day before went to hotel at night and be ready 10 mins before we come down. he used to call us 30 mins before to make sure we get ready too. Hotel staff in all the locations were more than willing to help and accommodate our request. A pleasant family experience.! The rating can nothing be short of Extremely likely, because of Aman and Goutam. They were really nice persons to have interacted with. But there is small scope of improvement which I have brought to notice of Aman and hope he improves upon them for future tourists!

The driver should consult with the customers before taking the customers to any other agent for further activities and should also be clearing the pros and cons. He also always pushed us to start very early around 7 AM everyday wherever we wanted to go. His assumption was that, if we start late after 7, we would get stuck in traffic. And this was not the case, we did not get stuck in any traffic during our whole tour. I think the agent should clearly specify these timing beforehand. To just visit 20 KM beyond solang valley I was charged 2500 rupees which seems too high given it was just 30 min journey one way. Visiting Sissu lake.

Especially Mr.Deepak bhai was a good listener n patient n always fast responding to my sudden changes n providing with good suggestion and solutions which I felt a service standing out from other operators. Hotels were good and transportation was beyond comparison..Arshadeep Singh (Ashu bhai) was a good companion and driver...special thanks for Ashu bhai without whom the vacation wouldn’t be happier and smoother..we have really enjoyed the vacation...needless to mention kids done paragliding at solang valley, rafting, skiing n was excited..n good with health n food...paragliding for me at Dalhousie was a lifetime experience..I highly recommend your next tour with Travel Magzine for a wonderful holidays ahead...”
