Day-Wise Honeymoon Itinerary (5 Days, 4 Nights)

Day 1: Pune to Delhi, then the overnight Volvo to Manali

Catch a morning or midday flight from Pune to Delhi, or take the train if you have the time to spare. Pickup for the Volvo is at 5:30 pm in Delhi, so a few free hours in between are enough for a quick lunch or a look around Connaught Place or Minto Road. The Volvo pulls out at 5:30 pm sharp and drives through the night, roughly 12 to 14 hours, reaching Manali the next morning. Sleep on the way if you can, because the hills start early.

Day 2: Arrive Manali, Hadimba Devi Temple and Old Manali

You reach Manali between 6 and 8 am and our representative meets you for the hotel check-in. Rest, freshen up, and head out in the afternoon once the town wakes up. The Hadimba Devi Temple sits in a cedar forest a short drive from Mall Road, quiet in the late afternoon and easy on the legs. From there you can walk the old Tibetan Monastery and the lanes of Vashisht village, known for its hot-water baths. Back at the hotel, this is the night the candlelight dinner and the room decoration are set up for you.

Day 3: Rohtang snow point, Kothi Gorge and the Solang side

After breakfast you drive up toward the Rohtang snow point through Kothi Gorge, Marhi and Gulaba, one of the prettiest stretches of the whole trip. Rohtang is where couples come for a first look at real snow, with sledging and short pony rides in season. Rohtang stays closed on Tuesdays and through the deep-winter months, and it needs a permit, so on those dates the drive shifts to Solang Valley for the ropeway and the paragliding slope instead. Your coordinator confirms which one is open on your travel date. Dinner and the night are back in Manali.

Day 4: Manikaran sulphur springs and the Kullu shawl workshops

Today the Volvo runs out to Manikaran in the Parvati Valley, about two and a half hours each way. Manikaran is known for its sulphur springs and the Gurudwara and temple built around them, and the walk between the hot springs and the river is the reason to come. On the way back you stop in Kullu town at the shawl and handloom workshops, a good place to pick up a Kullu shawl or a Himachali cap as a keepsake. You return to Manali by evening for dinner and your last night in the hills.

Day 5: Mall Road morning, then the Volvo back to Delhi

Enjoy a slow breakfast and check out around noon. The return Volvo leaves for Delhi at 4:00 pm, which leaves you the early afternoon free, so most couples spend it on Mall Road. Leave your bags at the hotel reception, then shop for shawls, antiques and handicrafts before the drive. The Volvo reaches Delhi the next morning, from where you fly or take the train back to Pune.

How To Reach Manali From Pune (Flight, Train, Volvo)

The package handles the Delhi to Manali leg, so from Pune you only need to reach Delhi. Here is how the connection works.

By flight. A nonstop Pune to Delhi flight takes about 2 hours 15 minutes. Air India, IndiGo, Vistara, SpiceJet and Akasa all run direct services, so most couples fly up in the morning and make the 5:30 pm Volvo comfortably.

By train. A direct Pune to Delhi train runs roughly 24 to 28 hours, which is long for a honeymoon on a fixed schedule. Fly if your dates are tight and save the train for the way back if you want a slower return.

By road. The Delhi to Manali luxury Volvo is inside the package, about 12 to 14 hours overnight in each direction. It saves a domestic-hill flight and lets you sleep through the ghat roads.

Nearest airport. Manali's nearest airport is Bhuntar (Kullu), around 50 km away, but flights are limited and weather-dependent, which is why the Delhi Volvo route is the reliable option for Pune couples.
