Thailand Trip Cost From India in 2026, at a Glance

Here is the short answer, then the detail. For this 6-day Phuket and Krabi holiday in 2026, plan on about Rs 60,000 per person at the budget end and up to Rs 1,05,000 per person for a comfortable mid-range trip with 4-star hotels and return flights from India. A family of four usually lands between Rs 2.4 lakh and Rs 4.2 lakh all in. Booking a land package like this one fixes the biggest, trickiest costs (hotels, transfers, island tours and sightseeing) at Rs 50,000 per person, so the only large variable left is your international airfare.

The table below is the cost per person for the trip by travel style, including return flights from India. Ranges reflect the season you travel and the city you fly from.

Travel styleWhat you getPer person (6 days)Family of 4 (total)
Budget3-star stays, budget airline, mostly street food, shared transfersRs 60,000 to Rs 75,000Rs 2.4 to 3.0 lakh
Mid-range (this package)4-star stays, daily breakfast, private transfers, island toursRs 78,000 to Rs 1,05,000Rs 3.1 to 4.2 lakh
Luxury5-star resorts, premium flights, private guides, speedboat chartersRs 1,50,000 and upRs 6.0 lakh and up

These are direction-checked 2026 estimates for planning, not quoted fares. Your final quote depends on travel dates, the city you fly from and how you customise the trip.

What Does a Thailand Trip From India Actually Cost? Budget vs Mid-Range vs Luxury

Most Indian travellers booking a Phuket and Krabi trip sit in the mid-range band, which is exactly what this package is built for. Here is how the three styles differ in practice.

A budget traveller keeps costs down by flying a low-cost carrier on off-peak dates, staying in clean 3-star hotels, and eating at local spots and night markets. Two adults and two children can do the 6 days for around Rs 2.4 lakh to Rs 3 lakh in total, though you trade some comfort and handle more of the logistics yourself.

A mid-range family, the sweet spot, spends roughly Rs 3.1 lakh to Rs 4.2 lakh for four. That buys 4-star beach and town hotels, daily breakfast, air-conditioned private transfers, and the Phi Phi and Krabi island tours by boat. This package land cost of Rs 50,000 per person is the backbone of that number. You add return flights from India and meals on top.

A luxury traveller flies premium economy or business, stays in 5-star Andaman-coast resorts with sea views, and books private speedboat charters instead of shared big boats. That pushes the total past Rs 6 lakh for four and can climb well beyond it with villas and fine dining.

Cost Breakdown: Flights, Hotels, Food, Activities, Visa and Insurance

If you would rather build the budget from the ground up, here is where the money goes on a mid-range 6-day Phuket and Krabi trip, per person. In this package the hotels, transfers, island tours and sightseeing are already bundled into the Rs 50,000 land cost, so on a booked trip your only real add-ons are international flights, meals and a little spending money.

Cost componentPer person (6 days, mid-range)Notes

Flight Cost From India to Phuket, and How to Reach

Flights are the one big cost this package does not include, so it is worth pricing early. Phuket (HKT) is the natural gateway for this trip. Most Indian cities reach it with one stop via Bangkok in about 7 to 9 hours total, or you fly the 4 to 4.5 hour direct hop to Bangkok and connect onward in roughly 1 hour 20 minutes. Return economy fares in 2026 sit in the bands below. Book six to eight weeks ahead and avoid the December peak to land near the lower end.

Departure cityReturn economy to PhuketTypical routing
DelhiRs 28,000 to Rs 48,0001 stop via Bangkok, about 8h to 10h
MumbaiRs 26,000 to Rs 45,0001 stop via Bangkok, about 7h 30m to 9h
ChennaiRs 24,000 to Rs 42,0001 stop, about 7h; Bangkok is a 4h 05m direct hop
BengaluruRs 26,000 to Rs 44,0001 stop via Bangkok, about 7h 30m
KolkataRs 22,000 to Rs 40,0001 stop; Bangkok is a 2h 30m direct hop

On the ground, Phuket and Krabi sit next to each other on the Andaman coast and this itinerary moves between them by road, so there is no domestic flight to book once you land. Your airport pickup, the Phuket to Krabi transfer and all sightseeing transport are already arranged in the package.

The 6-Day Phuket and Krabi Itinerary, Day by Day

This is the part no cost guide can give you: the real route your holiday follows, hotel to hotel. Three nights in Phuket for the islands and the city, then two in Krabi for the quieter beaches and the 4 Islands tour. Every day includes breakfast, and all transfers and sightseeing are arranged for you.

    Day 1: Arrive in Phuket

Your trip begins in Phuket. You are met at the airport and driven to the Phuket Merlin Hotel, where you check in and settle before the rest of the day is yours. Ease into island time with a first walk along Patong or a quiet evening near the hotel, then an overnight stay.

Day 2: Phi Phi Islands day trip

After breakfast, head out by big boat for a full day around the Phi Phi Islands. You explore Phi Phi Leh, the famous Maya Bay, Loh Samah Bay, Pileh Lagoon and the Viking Cave, with time to swim and snorkel in the clear water and lunch on the way. Return to Phuket by boat in the late afternoon and unwind at the hotel.

    Day 3: Phuket city tour

Spend the day seeing Phuket itself. You visit the Big Buddha on Nakkerd Hill for the island views, the gilded Wat Chalong temple, and the Sino-Portuguese shophouses of Phuket Old Town along Thalang Road, with time at a beach and for a little shopping. Back to the hotel for the night.

    Day 4: Transfer to Krabi

After breakfast, check out and transfer by road from Phuket across to Krabi, where you check in at the Krabi Cha-da Resort near Ao Nang. The rest of the day is at leisure: stroll Ao Nang beach, try some Thai food, or browse the local shops before an overnight stay.

Day 5: Krabi 4 Islands tour

After breakfast, set off on the Krabi 4 Islands tour by boat: Poda Island, Chicken Island, Tup Island and Koh Mor, with their pale sand and shallow lagoons. You also stop at Phra Nang Cave beach beneath the limestone cliffs, with time to swim and take in the sunset before returning to the hotel.

    Day 6: Departure

Your Thailand trip winds up here. Enjoy a last breakfast, check out, and transfer to the airport for your flight home with a bag full of island memories.

Popular add-ons you can build in

Because every itinerary here is customisable, you can swap a leisure day for a bigger excursion. The most requested is the James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay day trip from Phuket, where you sea-canoe through the hidden lagoons and see the famous Ko Tapu limestone stack. Families also add the Alcazar cabaret show, the elephant sanctuary at Phang Nga, or a Bangkok and Pattaya extension for a longer holiday. Tell your agent what you want and it goes into the quote.

Best Time to Visit Phuket and Krabi, and Money-Saving Tips

Phuket and Krabi sit on Thailand's Andaman coast, so the season matters more here than in Bangkok. November to March is peak: dry, sunny days, calm seas and the best conditions for island hopping, along with the highest flight and hotel prices. April and May turn hot and humid with shoulder pricing. May to October is the green season, when the Andaman coast sees bigger swells and short afternoon showers, so the odd boat trip can be rescheduled, but fares and hotels are at their cheapest, which makes it the best-value window if you are watching the budget.

If your goal is the lowest airfare from India, aim for May to September, when off-peak seats are easiest to find. For the full month-by-month picture, see the Thailand travel guide. A few practical ways to trim a 6-day trip without cutting the fun:

    • Book flights six to eight weeks ahead and travel May to September for the lowest fares.

    • Book a land package like this one that bundles hotels, transfers and the island tours, so those costs are fixed and you avoid paying peak walk-up rates.

    • Travel on twin or triple sharing and pick hotels with free breakfast (this package includes it).

    • Eat where locals eat: night markets and local restaurants cost a fraction of hotel dining.

    • Prepay the Phi Phi and 4 Islands tours in the package rather than booking on the beach, and carry some baht for the national park fee.

    • Get a Thailand eSIM instead of roaming, and use ride-hailing apps to avoid tourist taxi mark-ups.

Visa for Indians in 2026, and How to Book or Customise This Trip

Indian passport holders travel to Thailand visa-free in 2026: the Thai cabinet retained the visa exemption for Indians, so there is no visa fee for a standard tourist stay. You do need to complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before you land, carry a passport valid for at least six months, and be ready to show a return ticket and hotel bookings if asked. Rules can shift, so confirm the current stay limit close to your travel date.

Booking is straightforward. Personalise this 6 days, 5 nights Phuket and Krabi itinerary to your dates and pace, submit the request, and you get comparable quotes from the top 3 handpicked agents. Compare, customise further, and pay in easy instalments once you are happy.

Comparing options first? Browse the full range of thailand tour packages for other durations and themes, or see more Phuket and Krabi trips on the Thailand Phuket and Krabi packages page. Want a longer holiday that adds Bangkok and Pattaya? The 10 nights, 11 days Thailand family trip covers the five-city route across islands and cities.

Why Travellers Book This Trip With TravelTriangle

This package is put together by our Thailand desk, and the day-by-day flow reflects what actually works in Phuket and Krabi: the Phi Phi day early while energy is high, the city tour in the middle, and the quieter Krabi islands to finish. "Take the big boat to Phi Phi rather than the speedboat if you get seasick or you are travelling with kids. It is steadier and you still get the full day," advises the lead of our Thailand desk.

Fares and inclusions on this page are checked by our Thailand operations desk against current supplier rates before every booking.

Real travellers back it up. Kaushal from Mumbai called the trip "too good" and praised how everything was "scheduled in a very fine manner and timely execution." Meghana from Bangalore said the pickups and drops "were on time and perfect" and the itinerary "not so hectic," while Om from Bengaluru singled out how well the Krabi and Phuket legs and the airport transfers were planned in advance. Across 40 lakh plus trips planned, Thailand remains one of the most-booked destinations on TravelTriangle.

TripTrail made my 7 day Thailand trip across Bangkok, Krabi and Phuket feel effortless. Yugal and his team were clear and quick in their support from the start and stayed available through the entire trip even with the time difference. They adjusted the plan whenever I needed something changed and m
ade sure everything moved smoothly. I genuinely appreciate the care and attention they put into the experience. I would gladly recommend them to anyone planning a trip.

The trip started with a hiccup when we missed the first day’s tour due to some unclear communication and had to pay for that tour all over again in Thailand. But after that, everything went really smoothly. The team was approachable and helpful. Booking this tour package was expensive but I think
it was worth it since you can enjoy your travel hassle free.

Lot of information was hidden from us which led to incorrect decision making on our behalf. We were kept under the impression that half day tour and tiger kingdom will be 1 day tour so we had planned for that on 3rd day else we would have gone for second day. We had to continuously follow up to ge
t timings and plan for next day. The tour operators were very rigid. My wife fell sick on the day of tour and we informed earlier asking if we could swap. They refused. In a similar situation in Mauritius where we had to swap tours, the agents graciously handled that. Here they were just inclined to get the most money out of us with least effort. Instead of tiger kingdom they took us to tiger park saying that it is from same owner and tiger kingdom is in different direction, though I saw it on the route. Please refrain from using this partner in future. Only saving grace was hotel selection and value for money.

It was an amazing trip. We enjoyed a lot. Everything went as per plan and there were no hiccups. We got one pf the best services from eazyatra and travel triangle to make this Thailand trip memorable. Also eazyatra coordinator was soo helpful and he helped in booking flights and sharing other deta
ils about Thailand. Phuket was amazing. We did all of the water activities and spend best time with the best hotel deal vs the location. It was just amazing.

Haaris Shamim from TravelTriangle was utterly useless when I was facing an issue with ASAP Holidays having booked my Phi Phi islands trip on a day which I had not confirmed. Fortunately, ASAP holidays managed to resolve the issue. In addition, no one from ASAP holidays advised me to get at least si
lver class tickets from Sea Angel for the Phi Phi islands trip. Also, Samosa Express was the worst Indian restaurant I had seen in the whole trip. The bathroom did not even have running water and the food was miserable. I am very upset with TravelTriangle for having appointed such a useless Travel Agent like Haaris who wasn't even responding to his emails. I am happy with some aspects of ASAP holidays for their coordination but I'm upset with their "chaltha hai" attitude of fixing activities and not trying to suggest ferry seating upgrades or better restaurants to their clients during activities.

Overall very good experience. Well planned and managed. Didn't face any issues anywhere. Hotels in 2 places could have provided better rooms, but that was not in the hands of travel l agent. Ang thong national park
