The stay, hotels, cabs, overall planning- everything was excellent!! However at the time of trip planning it would be helpful if the travel agent could be as transparent and give all details before hand and just let the traveller know if any key destinations are being missed or could be included in the itinerary, rather than being in a hurry to close the deal. Suggestions from the travel agent are always welcome as we fully trust the travel agent to build a good itinerary rather than us having to do any research ourselves as that is the very purpose of a travel agent. Some key locations I found out about when I reached arunachal only once my driver told me about those (like holy waterfall and mandala top), the travel agent never once mentioned those, that additional suggestion from the agent about possible good locations to explore is always welcome, rather than getting a surprise upon reaching the destination because then you cannot really do anything about it. A good itinerary should always be built based on locations and then giving the guest an option regarding number of days and cost, rather than it being the other way around. Even if the number of days and cost is being finalized, I would have appreciated if the agent would have at least given me a heads up of potential locations being missed, instead of mentioning that all sightseeing is already covered which was clearly not the case. If I would have known I am missing visiting a place like holy waterfall I would have definitely reconsidered increasing the number of days and the cost that I am spending on my visit. But did not get that chance until I reached.

Anish's 12 days trip to North East

I recently went on a trip that was planned and coordinated through this agency. The pre-trip coordination was well-managed, and the team was prompt and reachable during the trip whenever required, which ensured smooth travel arrangements. Most of the hotels and homestays booked were excellent, offering convenient locations, good facilities, and delicious food. However, there were a few hiccups along the way. Some of the hotels provided were below expectations, and despite deluxe rooms being mentioned in the booking vouchers, standard rooms were allocated due to unavailability. This was a bit disappointing and could have been avoided with better planning. For safari bookings, I found it more reliable to book directly through local contacts as it helped avoid potential communication gaps and ensured the availability of vehicles. This is something I would recommend to others planning similar trips. Overall, it was a well-organized trip with some areas for improvement. The team’s responsiveness and the quality of most accommodations made the journey enjoyable, but a bit more attention to detail in hotel bookings and activity arrangements would make the experience even better.

The Travel Agent took good care of the bookings for kaziranga safaris and boating in Dawki. Hotels were reasonably ok in Guwahati and Kaziranga. Shillong hotels were good and the Cherrapunji hotel for one night was basic while the second one was good. In Mawlynnong we did not get to stay in the hotel that was mentioned on the voucher and should have been communicated better. The driver arranged was also not very satisfactory. Please check about Kamakhya temple time needed and if you need to talk to someone to get VIP tickets before, similarly would have been good to let us know that Waterfalls would be out of water in meghalaya in December, they caused unnecessary waster of our time. Also he should know what Shillong peak is closed on Wednesdays which caused us to waste another precious 2 hours.

Northeast Window Travels (Mr. Iliash Ali) demonstrated excellent professionalism and hospitality throughout our trip. He thoroughly understood our requirements and ensured all destinations, hotels, and transportation were well planned. The vehicle provided was excellent, and the driver, Mr. Dipen, was highly knowledgeable about the routes, local cuisine, and points of interest. His guidance significantly enhanced our experience across Assam and Meghalaya. Mr. Dipen was extremely cooperative and attentive to our needs, ensuring all promised locations were covered as planned. I highly recommend Northeast Window Travels for any Northeast travel needs—they truly excel in delivering a memorable and seamless travel experience.
