About andaman: rated 4.9/5 (based on 23484 reviews) | Packages starting from ₹8,299/-

Andaman Tour Package From Delhi

Planning an Andaman & Nicobar trip from Delhi is simpler than most travellers expect. Delhi has nonstop direct flights to Port Blair (now officially Sri Vijaya Puram), so you can be on Radhanagar Beach the same day you leave Indira Gandhi International.
Our Andaman tour packages from Delhi start at INR 8,299 per person and are fully customisable: pick a 4N/5D, 5N/6D or 6N/7D itinerary across Port Blair, Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) and Neil (Shaheed Dweep), and choose airfare-inclusive or land-only. The flying distance from Delhi to Port Blair is roughly 2,450 km, covered nonstop in about 3 hours 45 minutes. Every package below can be tailored to your dates, budget and group, whether that’s a honeymoon, a family holiday or a trip with friends.

How To Reach Andaman from Delhi: Nonstop Direct Flights ~3h45m

By Air (recommended)

Delhi (DEL) has nonstop direct flights to Port Blair / Sri Vijaya Puram (IXZ), roughly 3 services a day on Air India and Air India Express, flight time about 3h45m–3h55m for the ~2,450 km hop. This is the fastest and most popular way to reach the islands from Delhi, and the only origin where the trip is a single nonstop leg. One-stop fares via Chennai (MAA) or Kolkata (CCU) are also available and are often cheaper, adding roughly 2–3 hours. Book the morning nonstop to land with a full first day in hand.

By Sea

There is no passenger ship from Delhi: Delhi is landlocked. Government passenger ships to Port Blair sail only from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam (~56–70 hours), so a sea route from Delhi means first reaching one of those ports by train or flight. For almost every Delhi traveller, the nonstop flight is the right choice.

Delhi to Andaman Distance

From Delhi Distance (approx.) Mode Time
Delhi → Port Blair (IXZ) ~2,450 km (flying) Nonstop flight ~3h 45m
Delhi → Port Blair (via Chennai) ~2,800 km 1-stop flight ~6–7h total
Delhi → Port Blair (via Kolkata) ~2,500 km 1-stop flight ~6–7h total

6N/7D: Andaman & Nicobar Complete from Delhi

The 6N/7D itinerary covers the full Havelock, Neil and Port Blair triad with a Baratang day (limestone caves, mud volcano) and a relaxed final Port Blair morning before the Delhi flight. Note: the Nicobar group itself is largely restricted for tourism, so an “Andaman & Nicobar package from Delhi” really covers the Andaman islands within the Union Territory.

Best Time to Visit Andaman from Delhi

October to mid-May is the best window to visit Andaman from Delhi: calm seas, reliable ferries and clear water for diving. The shoulder months (October, November, March and April) balance good weather with softer fares from Delhi, while December–January is peak, so book flights 4–6 weeks ahead. The southwest monsoon (June–September) brings rougher seas and the odd ferry cancellation, but also the lowest package prices from Delhi: a good value window if you keep the plan flexible.

Window Weather / sea Best for From-Delhi note
Oct–Nov (shoulder) Calm, fresh post-monsoon Diving, beaches Good fares, fewer crowds
Dec–Feb (peak) Cool, dry, best seas Honeymoon, families Book flights early
Mar–mid-May (shoulder) Warm, calm, great visibility Watersports, scuba Value before summer
Jun–Sep (monsoon) Rough seas, ferry risk Budget trips Lowest prices, stay flexible

Things to Do & Places to Visit in Andaman

From Delhi, most itineraries route Port Blair → Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) → Neil (Shaheed Dweep). Port Blair is where the history sits, at the Cellular Jail and on Ross Island. Havelock owns the beaches: Radhanagar for sunsets, Elephant Beach for snorkelling and a first try-scuba. Neil is the quiet one, with Bharatpur, Laxmanpur and the Natural Bridge. Adventure-seekers add scuba at Havelock, sea-walking at North Bay and a Baratang limestone-cave day. The Nicobar group is largely a protected, restricted zone, so an “Andaman & Nicobar package from Delhi” really covers the Andaman islands of the Union Territory.

Mr's 5 days trip to Andaman

Overall Experience: While the itinerary ultimately covered all the promised destinations, the first few days of the trip were highly stressful due to poor breakfast service, below-average accommodations, transportation discrepancies, and lack of support from both the booking partner and local agent
s. 1. Breakfast Service (First 2 Days) Day 1: My flight timings changed, and I requested an early breakfast, which was denied. While I understood the policy, it set a disappointing tone. Day 2: We had an early morning checkout to travel to Havelock Island. We were provided a packed breakfast consisting only of low-quality bread, butter, jam, and a packed mango juice. This was highly unsatisfactory. 2. Havelock Island Accommodations & Itinerary Delays Resort Quality: The resort provided on Havelock Island was extremely poor. The rooms felt like below-average huts, resulting in a terrible experience. Service Delay: It took almost an hour of arguing to get our room changed. Lack of Local Agent Support: Because of the room change, our itinerary ran late. The local agent asked why we were running late and insensitively suggested we should have gone on the tour first and changed rooms later. It is unreasonable to expect guests to go out without freshening up first. 3. Transport Issues Havelock Island: We were initially given an Alto to travel to Radhanagar Beach, which did not match what was promised during booking. After confronting the agent, they upgraded us to a Scorpio for the return journey to the resort. Neil Island: The driver on Neil Island was incredibly rushed, constantly forcing us to hurry through our sightseeing because he had another group of guests waiting for his next trip. 4. Discounts and Financial Discrepancies We were promised a 40% discount on water sports activities, but this was not honored. We were forced to pay the full price/whatever rate was quoted on-site, with zero assistance from your team. 5. Booking Partner & Coordinator Support The resort provided on Neil Island was very good, and the final legs of the trip went smoothly. However, the travel partner we booked through provided almost no assistance during the trip. It felt like we had to figure everything out on our own, and we were left entirely at the mercy of the local agent. Conclusion The lack of coordination, poor initial accommodations, and unhelpful local support made the first few days of our vacation incredibly uneasy and stressful. I expect a formal response regarding the unhonored discounts and the standard of service provided

Gaurav's 6 days trip to Andaman

I recently booked a trip to the Andaman Islands through Island Retreat Holidays, and it was an absolutely seamless and memorable experience. From start to finish, the coordination was top-notch. A huge shout-out to Ms. Shivani for her exceptional planning. She managed every detail of our itinerary—
from the ferry bookings to the hotel stays and cab transfers—making the entire trip wonderful and stress-free. The ground support was equally impressive. I’d like to give a special mention to our driver in Port Blair, Mr. Akhter, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating with all our requests. We also appreciated the assistance of Mr. Raju, who helped us plan our activities at Elephant Beach, and Mr. Chand for his support at Neil Island. The professionalism and hospitality shown by the entire team were outstanding. I highly recommend booking with Island Retreat Holidays to anyone planning a trip to the Andamans, and I will definitely be recommending them to all my friends!
