Udaipur Tour Package From Delhi

Udaipur, with about 700,000 inhabitants, is the capital city of the ancient kingdom of Mewar. It is situated at the foot of the Aravalli Mountains, south region of Rajasthan.
It is called the ‘City of Lakes’, and it is even said that it is the Venice of the East, because there are several lakes around it. It is worth mentioning the Pichola lake, which is located in the center of the city.

There are other lakes such as Lake Fateh Sagar, where there are two small islands. One of which is a solar observatory, while the other a garden called "Nehru Garden."

Udaipur has an old walled city and beautiful alleys where you can walk, and discover its many monuments. If we approach the lake, we can discover the life that exists around it, especially in the ghats where the inhabitants of Udaipur come to wash their clothes. Udaipur is well known for its Rajput era palaces, especially for the Pichola lake palace. Many of its palaces have become luxury hotels.

Udaipur enjoys a tropical climate with a maximum of 43°C and a minimum of 29°C in summer, and a maximum of 29°C and a minimum of 3°C in winter. It is said that the best months to visit the city go from September to March.

The city is very well linked by road, Train or plane. It is located 405 kilometers from Jaipur, 275 kilometers from Jodhpur, and 185 kilometers from Mount Abu. Within the history of Udaipur, we could highlight that this city was the capital of the kingdom of the Rajput. Since then, Udai Singh established his residence there, later becoming the capital of the Rajputs.

During the rule of the British, Udaipur turned into a princely state in 1818. And after the independence of India in 1947, the Maharaja of Udaipur accepted that the Mewar territories be merged into the province of Rajasthan.

In a valley surrounded by leafy hills and impressive lakes, is the city of Udaipur, also known as the Pearl of Rajasthan, and considered the most romantic destination in India, being chosen by many as their favourite honeymoon destination.

After a few days of travelling through the most tourist state of the country. Especially if we have visited Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, in the deep desert of the Thar, arriving in this city is a pleasant surprise for its greenery and its fresh atmosphere. Also, although the state of Rajasthan is full of great fortresses, majestic palaces, and magnificent temples. Udaipur makes a difference providing its sophisticated elegance, with its palaces, lakes, temples, and gardens that look alike as a fairy tale story.

Mewar Festival in Udaipur

An exciting and joyful welcome to spring, this festival is a delight for the senses, with lush traditional Rajasthani dances, songs, and parades, as well as religious music and burning fireworks. It is celebrated at the Gangaur Festival. A procession of women wearing colourful dresses of the images of Goddess Gauri their way to Lake Pichola. It is an annual festival held in Udaipur to welcome the onset of spring. The Gangaur festival is very significant for the women of Rajasthan. It is time for them to dress their best and join the crowd in the festival

They get together to decorate the little statues of almighty Shiva and Gangaur and then take them in a traditional parade through different parts of the city. The dazzling procession leads to the statues of the gods and Gangaur Isar through the avenues of the city, finally reaching Gangaur lake Pichola de Ghat. There, accompanied by singing and entertainment, the images are taken aboard ships specially prepared for the occasion.

Udaipur has been the most important event in the kingdom of Mewar, ruled by the monarchs of the Sisodia dynasty for many centuries. According to legend, King Udai Singh met a hermit in the woods in the exercise of hunting, ascetic, blessing the king and advised him to build a palace on the site. Since the location was a lush valley with abundant streams and a lake, the newly created city soon became a thriving area.

Overall it was a good trip.. but the thing is that... You guys should not include places.. which are closed.. for example.. Nehru park/ photo booth is closed for the past 1.5 years.. how you guys are not updated about this thing that it has been already closed... Also if certain places are closed in Sunday or certain days.. ideally the driver or the travel agent should inform us previously that these places will be closed on this day.. so kindly cover these all in the other day... How you guys are not keeping a check on these things? @traveltoexploreprivat please keep in mind these things before making an itenary for your customers.. other than that.. driver was very humble n our agent Naveen was also very co-operative Cultural program in Bagore ki haveli in Udaipur and visit to delwara Jain temple in mount Abu!

Trip had been superb for us, we were celebrating our first anniversary and things were so well co-ordinated by Mr. Neeraj. A little disappointment from Hotel Raghuvantra as they don't serve non-veg may be its very new property and people don't know much about it. Rest all things made our trip very delightful. In four days so much of sight seeing by Mr. Bhanu, he is most courteous person i have ever met, took care of each and every small things in this trip. I wish we had few more days to stay.. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) Must see Kumbhalgarh fort lgiht and sound show, Folk art gallery & Aquarium in Udaipur, gurushikhar temple in mount abu. Special thanks to Mr. Neeraj and Mr. Bhanu.

For a family trip to Udaipur & Mt Abu in Oct 2017, I chose Holiday Season based on the excellent reviews they have had. I must say they lived up to their reputation ! Mr Raj, especially, has been extremely flexible and helpful, even in case when we had to reschedule a day last minute. The hotels and travel arrangements provided were equally good especially Vishnupriya and Janak Niwas in Udaipur. Will heartily recommend Holiday Season and services of Mr Raj to anyone travelling with family for well-planned, reasonably priced and comfortable trip ! Parvez A M Mumbai

Tips

The great news is mainly exploring the interior of Udaipur City Palace. Therefore, if necessary, do not worry too much about the sun and heat in Rajasthan. You can book a holiday at a great price for Udaipur tour package from delhi.

  • Keep enough time to explore the palace over time.
  • We encourage you to take a guided trip and understand the importance of the places and things you see. This adds interest and fun.
  • Similarly, wear comfortable cotton fabric and comfortable walking shoes. There are many places to visit.
  • You can go to Udaipur City Palace by taxi or car and depart immediately from the entrance.
  • However, there are two entrances to Udaipur City Palace. One is a public entrance, and it is recommended. The other is a dedicated entrance for the royal family. Citizens can also enter from this side, but there is little additional ticket cost. Then walk a little further from this entrance to the main structure of the palace.
  • Bring a little water. Alternatively, you can shop at stores and restaurants in the palace.
  • Additional Crystal Gallery tickets can be purchased in the palace.
  • Navigation on Lake Pichola can be accessed from the palace facility. However, if you are interested in sailing, consider the schedule and plan accordingly. Again, boat tickets will be added.
  • Most of the elegant restaurants in the palace were unnecessarily expensive, so eat accordingly.

Udaipur is among the most stunning tourist destinations in all of India. This means that the city enjoys the highest per capita income in all of India. It offers some of the most luxurious hotels in the country. It is also a city that overflows culture and art, where the performing arts have a very important role. It is compared to a city of fairy tales.

Udaipur also offers the traveller who wants to buy a good point, although not as good as Jaipur. You can find precious stones, ceramics, paintings, and a variety of clothes, among others.
