Uttarakhand Tour Package From Kolkata

As one of India’s most beautiful northern states, Uttarakhand has a lot to boast about. It’s beautiful natural scenery—mountains, rivers, waterfalls, flowers and valleys, is something you would only see in picture books! Its rich culture and heritage also guarantees the state a spot on every traveller’s list.
Uttarakhand is also home to some of India’s oldest and most revered temples, built artfully in the mountains thousands of years ago! Thus, it has the culture and heritage that comes only with millennia of history and belief. Here, you can live out your wildest adventures—soaring through the wind, climbing up the beautiful peaks, skiing down the smooth slopes; all of your dreams can come true.

You can relax in the serene temples and soak in the rich religious heritage of the state. Rishikesh, which is home to many ancient temples is also where you can find calming yoga ashrams and healing spots. You can also free your soul and spirit in the mountains, among the wild! Enjoy a happy picnic with your family at Lansdowne, among the beautiful mountains and valleys. There is no dearth of things to do at this fascinating state.

The state boasts of spectacular landscapes, with sparkling rivers snow-capped peaks, and quaint villages—the perfect painting. The state is also known for its natural diversity, being heralded as the epicentre of Indian biodiversity with its numerous biodiversity reserves like the Jim Corbett Tiger Park and Asan Wetland Conservation Reserve as well as world heritage sites like the Valley of Flowers and Nanda Devi Biosphere reserve. Book a visit to this beautiful state now!

Ideal Duration

Uttarakhand is not a state you can explore in a short duration of time. If you want to see and experience every inch of the beautiful state, you will need a lot of time—up to two weeks, or even more. You can even plan out your visit for 4 days, which is the least amount of time in which you can to justice to Uttarakhand. Depending on the number of places you want to see and how much time you want to spend at each place, you will have to plan out your holiday! Make sure to leave plenty of time in between for travel and for rest.

Best Time to Visit

Uttarakhand remains cooler than most Indian states throughout the year! The best time to visit the place is between June and September, when the temperatures are warmer and you may even get the chance to see the beautiful rainfall, which leaves the mountains shrouded in a different kind of beauty. Between October and February however, are the winter months, when the state gets very cold, and may make your holiday uncomfortable. Make sure you plan your holiday at a time when the temperatures are most comfortable for you to enjoy yourself to the maximum.

How to Reach

You can travel by air, which means you will have to land at either Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, which is about 22 kilometres from Uttarakhand, or you can land at Pantnagar Aiport, which is located near Nainital and Ranikhet. There are plenty of convenient options for those who can afford to spend on a flight ticket. Travelling by train is also a very convenient way of reaching Uttarakhand. The train station which is located in Kathgodam is also the last terminus of the North East Railways, and has connectivity to stations in all major cities in India. A number of comfortable, cheap trains run daily to these stations. The best way to travel if you are close to Uttarakhand is to travel by car. You can enjoy the beautiful views as you ride—and the highways are wonderful to drive on! You can make it a fun road trip with your loved ones.

Shankar's 4 days trip to Uttarakhand

Firstly, Mr Sunil Kumar Panda from Navicrow convinced me to make this trip as I contemplated what to do during the second week of my holiday. He gave me a good itinerary and helped me close in on the trip. I went to Nainital, Kasauni, Saraikhet and Jim Corbett from Delhi. Firstly, Navicrow formed a WhatsApp group to assist me which I felt was very reassuring. All the initial hiccups were amicably sorted, especially with the cab, which turned out to be a bit of a surprise. Navicrow managed it well, but the driver and car that they sent were outstanding. Hotels-wise, I was extremely delighted with the choices provided in Kasauni and Saraikhet. There were not many choices in Nainital. But it could have been a lot better in Jim Corbett. Thanks to Navicrow for arranging a great trip. Wish them well.

Tips

Firstly, make sure you research about the place you are visiting. Depending on the terrain and the temperature, pack clothes appropriately! If you are visiting a temple or any religious shrine, make sure you respect the traditional clothing. Carry with yourself a physical map, some extra cash and copies of your travel papers at all times, as network coverage may not always be available on the mountains!
