With star-shaped architecture, the Thousand Pillar Temple consists of three shrines devoted to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Surya. The temple, built by Rudra Deva in 1163 AD, is also known as Sri Rudreswara Swamy Temple. The three shrines in the temple are collectively called Trikootalayam. The temple, consisting of thousand pillars, exhibit Kakatiya and Chalukyan architecture. A peculiar thing one can witness in this temple is that the life-like Nandi bull faces east, unlike in other temples of India, where it faces west. 2. Bhadrakali Temple

The idol of Kali Mata, made of stone, resides in a sitting position and has eight hands, holding a weapon in each. Built to preserve flora and fauna, Vana Vignana Kendra, also known as Kakatiya Zoological Park, is maintained by the Forest Department of India.
