About Jumeirah Mosque in Dubai

Situated near the Jumeirah 1 area of Dubai, Jumeirah Mosque happens to be the most photographed mosque in the entire city.

Almost every individual from the Muslim community wishes to visit the place at least once. Jumeirah Mosque Dubai is one of the very few mosques, which welcomes people with pure love even from the diverse communities. Hence, the non-Muslim visitors take the due assistance of the touring groups to admire the serenity of the mosque. The permission to welcome even the non-Muslim tourists were issued with the sole motive of spreading awareness about the Islamic religion.

History of Jumeirah Mosque

The mosque was built recently in the year 1976 and since then it has become one of the most celebrated tourist spots of Dubai. Developed and decorated frivolously by Hegazi and Moaez, the museum offers glimpses of pristine Fatimid style, reflecting the traditional antiquity of Dubai Mosque.

Jumeirah Mosque is situated near the Chicago Beach Hotel which has been renamed as the Jumeirah Beach Hotel since 1995. However, irrespective of the growing marketplace and overcrowding of the historical heritage sites of Dubai, Jumeirah Mosque has denied the turmoil of modernization and has till now successfully preserved the serene tradition.

Facts about Jumeirah Mosque

It is the only mosque in Dubai where non-Muslim people can enter. It is also, perhaps of the same reason, the most photographed mosque in Dubai. Owing to the traditional architecture, the  Jumeirah Mosque remains distinct from the rest and is designed to accommodate around 1300 people. The "Two Minaret Mosque" allows tourism only four times a week, each of which takes an approximate time of seventy- five minutes. The Jumeirah Mosque tour facilitates the visitors with the prime knowledge of the five pillars of Islam and various other fascinating facts about the religion.

Architecture of Jumeirah Mosque

The roof of almost every mosque here is designed in the most popular hypostyle form and is supported by various vertical columns, each reflecting the ancient artwork of the place. People from all over the world gather here to take a glimpse of the pristine qiblah wall lying exactly on the other side of the entrance. Exactly at the center of the qiblah wall, mihrab offers the place for the imam to lead the prayers five times a day. People gather in the prayer hall and offer their daily prayers facing towards the pious Ka'aba.

Iftar at Jumeirah Mosque

An Iftar is a seasonal event organized in the holy month of Ramadan. Visitors can plan an evening at the mosque with a traditional “breakfast” and learn about the Islamic tradition of fasting. The daily fasts are broken by eating dates and several other Emirati dishes. Iftar tours are suited for expats and tourists who are looking for a peek into the culture of UAE.

The place around the mosque teems with innumerable people every day owing to the Palm Strip Mall located on the exact another side of the mosque at Jumeirah Mosque 1 road. Hence, tourists visiting the place also get the gorgeous opportunity to interact and intermix with the local residents dwelling there.

Pragya's 5 days trip to Dubai

Kudos to Annu our travel agent who helped us out both in India and during the trip in Dubai. Locations were good, there were some easily ignored issues (due to SIC and type of bookings) regarding the actual itinerary, however, the hotel reserved for our stay was not up to the mark. I have previously booked trips with Travel Triangle, but this time the hotel was a disappointment to say the least. Hotel receptionists were not co-operative, mismanaged, not synced with one another, and could not accommodate simple requests from us. So what could have been a good experience turned out to be an ok ok one. Beautiful locations and spots in the itinerary.

Subhaketan's 5 days trip to Dubai

Dubai Trip was nicely arranged. Vouchers sent on time, Visa done on time. All information was provided by Sumit on time, well coordinated. The Dessert Safari was excellent, driver was very good. However, some of the driver's behavior was not good. Premium safari Camp was not provided as promised. The Dessert Safari camp food was very bad, might not be in the hands of the agency.

Sparsh's 5 days trip to Dubai

Dubai trip was good. Travel agent Satguru and his team were very friendly and assisted us in all the ways possible. Trip was well planned and time was well managed. We even got sufficient time to explore the city by our self. Hotel Carlton Palace service could have been better as it was not meeting 5 star standards. Breakfast buffet was not that great. Rest over all we had an amazing time and enjoyed the trip. Thanks to Satguru Holidays and Travel Triangle team. Special thanks to Abhijit from Satguru who handle this so well.
