About Dubai Safari Park in Dubai

Dubai never fails to push the boundaries of innovation and leave its travelers in complete surprise.

And among one of the man-made wonders stands the Dubai Safari Park which is an adventure tourism project initially headed by Dubai Municipality. Later it’s management was taken over by Meraas. Located in Al Warqa’a, this massive adventure park is spread across an area of 1.2 sq km which is twice the size of the Vatican city. This impressive attraction located in Dubai city is home to around 2,500 varieties of flora and fauna. Adding to the city’s advanced tourism rapport, the Dubai Safari park is an upgraded version of the Dubai zoo. The first thing one can see once they enter the park is the beautiful lakes and magnificent landscapes. This 119-hectare safari is segregated in five villages which boasts a unique topography and wildlife. There are artificial water bodies, misting fans and air-conditioned artificial rocks which keeps the habitat cool during the hotter months.

5 Villages in Dubai Safari Park

Safari Village: Feel like walking in the jungles of Asia and Africa at this traditional open safari which will give you a close exposure to the animals. There is a specially designed vehicle which will take to the spots from where animals like baboons, zebras, deer, cheetahs, water buffalos, majestic lions, and regal tigers.

African Village: This village in Dubai Safari Park in Dubai is known for its rich collection of exotic wildlife from the continent. Divided into an African Savannah and Rainforest, these places feature African wild dogs, giant tortoises, chimpanzees, and white lions.

Arabian Village: Adorned by the sandy deserts, rocky mountains and lush meadows, there is a vast flora and fauna residing inside this. One can easily spot animals like wolves, nilgais, and antelopes who live here.

Dubai Safari Park in Dubai.

Wadi Village: This is majorly the recreational area where one can go and relax alongside enjoying with friends and family. There are also some green initiatives installed by the Dubai Municipality which includes water streams and fishing ponds powered by solar energy.

Conservation Efforts In Dubai Safari Park

The motive of Dubai Municipality behind constructing the Dubai Safari Park is more than just entertainment, This park was built to conserve and provide a home to around 5000 animals, birds, and reptiles. Apart from that, the park will make efforts to protect the endangered species through extensive research.

A visit to Dubai Safari Zoo is one of the most exotic experiences to indulge yourself in. It will provide you with a glimpse of many wild animals up close. Moreover, entering into a world filled with so many animals at one place is in itself a truly remarkable experience. If you are wondering about how to travel to Dubai zoo park within the best possible way, then traveling by car is your answer to the dilemma. Moreover, you can also travel by metro green line and then can resume the journey by taxi.

Those who will be traveling by their own vehicles should note that parking facilities are available for free in Dubai Zoo Safari Park. A total of 3,500 free spots are available. However, if you wish to make use of VIP parking then a fee of AED 50 is charged. Note that the place is one of the main tourist attractions in Dubai, hence, you are more likely to find long queues. Therefore, it is recommended that you make bookings in advance by proceeding the payment online or else you are most likely to spend half of your time standing in queues. Moreover, while visiting their website, it is also suggested that you check for Dubai Safari Park offers. These offers appear from time to time and are often a good way to avail extra benefits.

The park is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, to avoid crowds, it is recommended that you plan your visit in the morning. This zoo park in Dubai is unlike any other park, it is widespread to such a long area that a tour covering the entire park can easily take around 4.5 to 5 hours. It is recommended that you enjoy everything as it appears and takes out an entire day to enjoy everything at its best.

Hitesh's 6 days trip to Dubai

We had an overall amazing experience with our tour – truly a memorable journey for our family! Everything was well-organized and smooth. The desert safari was a highlight – we absolutely enjoyed it, especially the delicious food, the entertainment shows, and the overall ambiance. The cruise on the first day was also wonderful, with great food and a lovely show to kick things off. Our visit to the parks in Abu Dhabi was another major highlight. Warner Bros. World was absolutely the best – not just for our son but for us adults too! The rides, shows, and themed zones were fantastic. SeaWorld was a delight for our little one — he loved every bit of it, and it was very child-friendly and interactive. The view from Dubai Frame was breathtaking, and we really enjoyed spending time there as well. The Dubai city tour was enjoyable, thanks to the polite and knowledgeable drivers who made us feel comfortable throughout. The vehicles provided were excellent, and most of the drivers went above and beyond, often giving us shopping tips and helping us avoid tourist traps — which really helped us save some dirhams! There was just one hiccup with the driver during our Dubai Frame visit. Despite having a private vehicle booked, we weren’t dropped off as per our request and had to wait in the harsh sun until the driver arrived at the designated parking spot. That day aside, all other drivers and guides felt like part of our own family. One suggestion for improvement: If the Burj Khalifa show could be arranged in the morning, the view would’ve been much better. We missed the iconic view due to the timing. Also, the hotel rooms were underwhelming for a 5-star property – loose pins, outdated TV sets, and slow service with unresponsive reception calls were disappointing. However, the staff was polite and helpful. All in all, the trip was very well planned and executed by Rayna Tours & Travel Vichar. Despite a few minor setbacks, we never felt like we were in a foreign country — the team made us feel right at home. After all, a few bumps make the journey memorable, don’t they? Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Kudos to the entire team! Desert safari, Parks visit at Abu Dhabi.

Roshni's 5 days trip to Dubai

I would like to say that the advice given prior to going to Dubai was timely and very well taken care of. Landing in Dubai, the coordination was overall good but needs more coordination and honest conversation. We took a half day city tour of Abu Dhabi as well as Ferrari World tickets where we were assured we would have at least 5-6 hours. And be able to see the spots of Abu Dhabi. This didn’t happen. We got just 3 hours at Ferrari world and got delayed because of the maddening queues. As such i would always recommend them because of the suggestions and insights given apart from Abu Dhabi! It was a memorable trip as such - the desert safari was really cool!
