Places to Visit in UAE

Out of the best places to see in UAE, some man-made wonders that stand out and that have made the world take notice includes Burj Khalifa in Dubai, which is the tallest building of the world. It is also famous for other things such as the highest observation deck in the world, tallest freestanding structure in the world and for having an elevator that has to travel the longest distance in the world to get to the top floor. But the one thing that makes it a truly cannot-be-missed attraction in UAE is the panoramic views that the observation deck offers of the entire Dubai. Some even say that one can see the curvature of the earth from that height, but that is not true obviously.

Some of the other best places to visit in UAE include the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi, which is a modern mosque of unusual and incredible beauty. It is one of the largest mosques of the world, and has been created using huge amounts of gold and other precious metals and gems, apart from mosaic tiles, marble, and intricate glass work. Old Dubai is also worth a visit, especially the Bastakia Quarter, the only area clinging on to the last remnants of the old way of life in Dubai. Visit this place to see what Dubai used to be like, before the skyscrapers took over the skyline and the adventure parks replaced the gardens. Also, try to pay a visit to Atlantis, a man-made island made on land reclaimed from the sea. The ubiquitous desert is also something you cannot miss out on, when in UAE.

Travelers might think that UAE is all about man-made beauty, but that’s not true. Most parts of UAE has immense natural beauty with the likes of gorgeous beaches, golden deserts and jagged mountains. If you want to cover the beauty of nature when making your list of places to visit in UAE, make sure to add The Hajar Mountains and the Jebel Hafeet. The Hajar Mountains are located in the deserts of UAE, criss-crossing the heart of the desert with jagged cuts and dry riverbeds that are a lot of fun to explore and meander around in. Jebel Hafeet, the second highest peak of UAE, is also a must visit. It is located close enough to Abu Dhabi to be a great day trip. Winding roads, hairpin bends and twisting walkways lead you to panoramic views of a gorgeous desert landscape. The sunsets from the summit are a treat to watch. No matter where a traveler is in UAE, coming across the beauty of man’s creation as well as mother nature’s amazing handiwork will be quite common.
