Things To Know Before Travelling To Mathura

Things To Know Before Travelling To Mathura

Before travelling to Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, you should learn about the city's culture, festivals, and attractions.

Here is an essential guide to help you plan your trip better.

    Best time to visit

Enjoyable weather and lively festivals (October to March): This peak tourist season features pleasant temperatures between 10°C and 25°C.

    Culture

Mathura, known as the birthplace of Lord Krishna, is a sacred city filled with rich devotion. It draws numerous pilgrims and tourists each year who come in search of profound spiritual experiences and a deeper connection to their faith.

    Festivals

Experience the vibrant festivities of India, such as Holi, a joyful celebration of colours that brings people together in a burst of merriment. Also, witness Janmashtami, which honours the birth of Lord Krishna, featuring colourful decorations, energetic dance performances, and religious rituals that highlight devotion and joy.

    Accommodation

Mathura offers various accommodation options, ensuring that travellers with varying budgets and personal preferences can find suitable lodging. From luxurious hotels to budget-friendly guesthouses, the city caters to every type of traveller, making visits enjoyable.

    What To Pack?

When preparing for a visit to temples, it’s important to dress modestly, which may include covering shoulders and legs. Be respectful by removing sunglasses or glasses at the entrance. Pack various clothing to accommodate different weather conditions: warm winter attire, breathable summer fabrics, and necessary rain gear for the monsoon season should all be included.

    Tips For Travellers Visiting Mathura

Dress modestly and take off sunglasses or glasses while visiting temples. Pack warm winter attire, breathable summer fabrics, and rain gear for the monsoon season. Bring a reusable water bottle, particularly during summer. Temples can get crowded, so be mindful of others and their cultural customs. Please remove your shoes before entering the temples. Have some small change on hand, as Rickshaws and smaller shops might not provide change for larger bills. Visit the Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple complex, which features shrines, courtyards, and galleries. To avoid fog and participate in morning prayers, start your day early. Keep your bags secure and stay aware of your surroundings.

Sk's 4 days trip to Mathura

I had arranged a trip to Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya for my parents and their friends, and I’m so happy to share that they had an absolutely amazing time. The entire experience was smooth, well-organized, and deeply fulfilling for them. A heartfelt thank you to Rishabh Tripathi from Indeman Travels, who took care of everything with great professionalism and warmth. From the planning to the execution, Rishabh ensured that every detail was perfectly managed—be it hotel bookings, travel arrangements, food, or local sightseeing. His responsiveness and dedication gave us complete peace of mind throughout. The choice of hotels was excellent, the food was delicious, and the itinerary was thoughtfully curated to balance comfort with spiritual exploration. My parents and their friends particularly appreciated the seamless coordination and the personal attention they received. They returned with wonderful memories and couldn’t stop talking about how enjoyable and meaningful the entire trip was. I highly recommend Indeman Travels and Rishabh Tripathi to anyone looking to plan a pilgrimage or cultural trip for their loved ones. Their service truly made this journey special.

Srivalli's 4 days trip to Mathura

I agree the Arrangements were good but information is not passed on properly and promised for driver being available for any extra local trips but denied post start of trip … giving all reasons about driver working for hours now which should have been discussed and not agreed when requested for the driver to be available for local trips after the promised trips. Too much of attitude and no manners on how to speak or covey things to clients. Please work on your communication

Tejaswee's 5 days trip to Mathura

Overall Trip Experience: I had a good experience overall. The travel agent, Abhishek, was always available and responsive whenever I needed assistance. This trip was planned for my parents and grandmother, and I appreciate the effort that went into organizing it. Areas for Improvement: Cab Driver Changes: One of the major issues I encountered was the frequent changing of cab drivers (4-5 times during the 5-day trip). This created confusion, especially for my parents and grandmother, as they had to adjust to new drivers each time. It would be helpful if the same driver could be assigned for the entire duration of the trip or at least for longer periods. Traffic and Local Insights: While traveling from Varanasi to Prayagraj and then to Ayodhya, the cab got stuck in heavy traffic, which was a bit frustrating. Since this was during the Kumbh Snan period, I understand that there were challenges, but it would have been beneficial if the local drivers provided tips on avoiding crowded routes or traffic hotspots. Local advice could have helped avoid delays and made the trip smoother. Positive Highlights: Apart from the challenges with the drivers and traffic, the overall experience was enjoyable. Kudos to Abhishek, the travel agent, who was always there when needed and made sure everything else went smoothly.
