The only possible way to go from Chennai to Ontario is by flight. By air, the distance between the two cities is around 14460 kilometers. There are no other modes of transport to avail between Chennai or any other Indian city and Ontario, not only because of the massive distance but also because of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans between Asia and North America.
All the three international airports of Ontario in Toronto, Ottawa, and Hamilton, receive regular flights from India, but all of those flights are connecting except one. From the airport, there are trains, buses, and taxis to take you to different parts of the state.
By Air: There are no Chennai to Ontario flights which go directly nonstop. The fastest one takes 19 hours 5 minutes to go from Chennai International Airport to Toronto Pearson International Airport. The trip is connected by Jet Airways and Air Canada via New Delhi. This same flight goes to Ottawa in 2.5 more hours.
By Road: From Chennai, there is no direct roadway to go to Ontario. To avail cars or bus routes to Ontario, one must fly to the USA first. New York, Michigan and Minnesota are the best options. From NYC, driving to Toronto via Buffalo is the easiest and fastest route.
By Train: VIA Rail/Amtrak has multiple routes to Canada from the USA, and it is the only cross-border railway that goes to Canada. One can avail the NYC-Toronto train via Buffalo, Rochester and Niagara to go to Ontario via rail. But there are no routes directly from India.
