How To Reach Egypt From Delhi

Egypt has multiple international airports. Cairo, Luxor, Alexandria, Hurghada and Sharm- el-Sheikh are the cities with the most popular international airports. However, most flights from Delhi are to Cairo International Airport. However there are no direct flights, and all the carriers have stopovers at middle-eastern cities.

By Air: The fastest Delhi to Egypt flight is by Kuwait Airways and Egypt Air via Kuwait City, and it takes only 8 hours to reach. Air India has a connecting flight with EgyptAir as well via Dammam which takes 8 hours 35 minutes. Both of these flights are to Cairo. Emirates Airlines runs a solo flight for 9 hours 20 minutes duration via Dubai.

By Road: Although India and Egypt are connected by land, travelling by road is quite out of the question, first of all, because flights are a much better, faster and convenient option. And secondly, the borders one has to cross to reach Egypt are not the safest.

By Train: Delhi and Egypt are not connected by railway. Although a part of Egypt is on the same continent as of India, the two countries do not share borders by any means. However, within the country, there is one of the best railway networks of the world. All the famous cities are connected by Egyptian Railways, and there are regular trains, along with spectacular views.
