How to reach Churchill War Rooms in London

Churchill War Rooms can be fascinating for those who are interested have keen interest in the history of Second World War. Here, the travelers can discover Churchill’s underground headquarters. War cabinets, etc.

Tube Stations

The nearest tube stations to the museum are the Westminster Jubilee, Circle line, and District. These are about 8-10 minutes’ walk from the museum. The other one is St. James’s Park Tube Station, which can be reached within 7-10 minutes by walk.

Bus

There is no other better way than the bus to explore the city of London and its monuments. There are plenty of buses that run back and forth from museums to other places in London. The bus numbers are 3, 11, 12, 24, 148, 211, and 453.

Car or personal transport

As there are no designated places for parking, people generally do not prefer travelling by their cars. But there is metered parking facility available where you can park your car by paying some nominal charges. In the area around the museum, there are two car parking areas – Trafalgar Car Park in Spring Gardens and Abingdon Car Park in Great College Street.

The general opening hours are 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. You can’t enter the place if you reach there after 5:00 pm. This place is closed on 24th, 25th and 26th December. Due to the high volume of visitors, it is best to visit this place during the early hours such as 9:30 am till 11:00 am and then from 4:30 pm till 5:45 pm

I immensely thank Mr. Prashant Daroch & Mr. Shubham Gupta for having taken keen interest and booked out tickets meticulously, our Hotel bookings were done taking into consideration the closest distance from the station, so that it was within the walking distance, the guided tours and also the pi

ck up from the Airport in Rome, the trip to Amalfi Coast covering Ravello, Positano & Sorrento, guided tour to Pompeii from Naples, the tour to Pisa from Florence were superb. All the inter city transfers were booked by trains & there was never a hitch i.e., transfer from Rome to Naples, Naples to Florence, Florence to Padova. Even the "Hop-on & Hop-off" bus tickets were booked in Rome and it was very convenient way of seeing the place at your convenience & added convenience was that the boarding & ending points were close to our Hotel (within walking distance). The Hotels booked were very good and made our stay comfortable in every way be it food, the cleanliness & a always ambience. Mr. Prashant & Mr. Shubham were always very courteous & did their best to help us out with our itinerary , tickets, hotel booking, tours, train tickets etc and also my invoices were provided. In all our group of eight people has a fabulous tour which will forever remain etched in our memories. A wonderful job by Mr Prashant & Mr. Shubham. The duo really deserves accolades.
