By Air

Though there are no direct flights from India to Sun City, most major Indian cities are connected to the nearest international airport which is OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. An array of airlines like Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad and Ehiopian Air offer one-stop and two-stop connections to Johannesburg, and usually take around 13-14 hours for the entire journey. From Johannesburg airport, Sun City can easily be reached in about 2.5 -3 hours by private transfer, taxi or buses that ply at regular intervals.

Best Time To Visit

With its temperate climate, Sun City makes for a good holiday destination any time of the year though some seasons can be quite crowded due to the holidays. SUmmers can be hot and humid yet experience high influx of tourists during the holiday season. Hi Travel Lykke team, Our trip to Turkey was one to remember. We had lots of fun and awesome memories to take back. Thanks for making all the arrangements for us. Here’s a detailed feedback of the trip so that you can improve upon a few things in an otherwise great itinerary. ANTALYA: Prime Hotel was a very good one with perfect location along seaside. Rooms were good with a great restaurant giving full panoramic view of the seaside. It also had a good swimming pool. Pamukkalle tour- had a great experience of mesmerising limestone landscapes with very good photo opportunities. Guide was good. Antalya city tour- overall very good tour . But somewhat cut short as we were tagged along big Indian family who were travelling with small kids. They did not cover the full tour as the family wanted to go to hotel and the guide also didn’t take our consent because we wanted to see old town also mentioned in our itinerary. But we were dropped back to the hotel along with the family. Guide was very good otherwise. CAPPADOCIA: ATV tour- our pick up was 1 hour late. We missed 1 valley as the tour had already started when we reached. But otherwise tour was very good. We were taken to other 3 valleys with breathtaking views of caves . Time was around 1 1/2 hours. It was an adventurous experience riding the ATV. Hot air ballooning- This was the highlight of our tour and we were lucky that the flight was not cancelled on our day. Really once in a lifetime experience to remember to enjoy. Totally recommended. The ballooning company was good. Green tour: Again we were tagged along the big Indian family for whom we had to wait one hour outside their hotel to start the tour as they were not ready. Wasted a lot of time. Otherwise the tour was very good with good guide. Azure cave hotel- very good hotel with good location ISTANBUL: Bosphorus dinner cruise- Very good with good entertaining local folk dances. Two continent tour- The places we went were good but the arrangement of transport and guide was not at all good. There were 2-3 tours going on along with our tour in the same bus. We had to change bus 2-3 times and had to wait for people from other tours as well as the bus arranged for everyone was same!! This was not what we expected which ruined our tour. Boat ride was not good as it was routine govt. operated boat which stopped at 2-3 stations. It was a very average experience. Nippon hotel- very small rooms being a 4 star hotel. Location was good but staff in restaurant were trainees with no experience in serving. All the airport transfers were very good. Very limited options for vegetarians. RECOMMENDATIONS: - Please do not tag couples along with big families especially who are travelling with kids. - The tours should be in one bus/ vehicle only and only one tour should be at a time to avoid wastage of everyone’s time. If you don’t have many people in the same tour we don’t mind paying a little extra for a private tour. - Timings for pick up should be fixed and maximum wait time should be 10 minutes so that others time is not wasted due to a few people. Some guides were strict and that is a good policy. We hope you make these suggested changes for an even better experience in future. Thanks once again.

This was the worst and the costliest trip of my life...all because of "book it forget it" travel company and travel triangle. Opposite to their name, they kept on forgetting the things and travel triangle guys also on the same pattern. Highlights of our trip:- While booking we asked them we need sedan car with carrier, travel agent confirmed the same thing, when we were about to leave from our home to railway station we called him again and confirmed the same thing , we had asked driver details couple of times he didn't shared those details (we were told that we will get driver details one day before of travelling). He shared us driver details when we were in the train, cleverly approx 7. When we called the driver he told me that he is not having carrier in his car as this is banned in entire Tamil Nadu (not sure if it true or not). When we asked same thing to travel agent he told us yes carrier is not available in car, You didn't tell us that you will be having more luggage.( Can someone please let me know what will be the other meaning of asking car with carrier on top of that) He forced us to pay extra 6300 rupees for some old model innova car. We got threatened by travel agent like pay 6300 or else deal directly with driver (Driver was from Madurai) At rameshwaram driver asked to pay 10 k else he will stop the trip. ( We had payed only 2 installments to travel triangle remaining amout was 15k + 6300( additional cab cost, agent told driver to collect the money from us and marked payment as done on portal) Rameshwaram trip and madurai trip was good as no more places to visit. On the day from madurai to Kodaikanal driver asked us check out late from hotel as his car is having some issues, he reached hotel to pick us at 12 , on hills car was not able go above 30 35 , 2.5 hrs journey become 5 hours journey for us. One full day wasted. For covering all the places mentioned in itinerary driver was asking more money from us and my travel agent was also forcing us to pay extra. Our Driver got changed 3 times during trip. Driver who was responsible for trip was not having proper plans to visit we were on same route for 2 days. All our time money energy wasted. Travel triangle guys also didn't listen to us, they told you directly deal with agent , agent asked us to deal with driver and driver was asking money for everything even for parking which was included in our package. This was our 4th trip with travel triangle 3 were good and this one was worst. No one was listening to our problems. Learnings :- don't believe in travel triangle and there agents this is the new way of looting the money from us, as we are out of city and had payed approx 80% of the amount to them. Note:- while talking to driver he told me that we are the 5th customer who are facing same issue, agent use to write many places to visit in itinerary which is not possible for us to go in same budget. How can I forget to mention our travel triangle advisor Abhijit...he was of no help worst fellow and worst company to book any trip. Nothing

Ilias's 6 days trip to Kashmir

The trip was supposed to be enjoyable but it did not happen in same way as expected. It is not totally fault of travel agent. 1) Actually , at the time of discussion with travel agent, we were never told that cable car (gondola ride) tickets in Gulmarg is not available most of the time. we planned trip finalized and paid 25% to agent and discovered that (gondola ride) tickets is not available. If we were informed of this fact, then could have planned better. But luckily , we saw availability of these tickets in one day, but we had hotel checkout from Pahalgam that day , which is very far from Gulmarg.So, Agent charged extra to cover Gulmarg gondola ride.So, it is better to buy the ticket first and then plan with the travel agent. 2) Gulmarg gondola ride is a long long queue. Long waiting spoils the enjoyment/excitement of Gulmarg.If you are young ,then OK 3) Agent is never calling you , once the full amount is paid.I think Agent should should ask if everything is OK 4) Dal lake is not the same.If you are planning to relax , the price is 6-7 thousand now.The agent promises to pay 1st 1 hour free but all that is very shady.still the Dal lake comes to be 6-7 thousand (without going to island in between lake) 5.At every point , scams are there.No advise from Agent regarding these scams. Believe me , it is CITY OF SCAMS. It is NOT the SAME Kashmir now. Tourist /Local Crowd is also everywhere. This City of Always in Traffic jams. The two security check of baggage with a gap of 1.5 km is also harassment while returning( when you are tired). Return flight is cancelled and our airline (spice jet) asked us to collect baggage and leave airport (it is defence airport, you can not stay there inside in night). Our Airline (Spicejet) did not pay hotel stay ( because of flight cancellation). So, all these spoiled our stay in kashmir. We will NEVER go there. 5 star Hotels in south asian countries are much cheaper then 3 star hotel of Kashmir.Ticket to these south asian countries is also of similar range.So more value for money in traveling to south asian countries .
