You can catch the bus line 171 of RATP from Hotel de Ville, Paris, which will cost you 2 Euros only. On all days, there is a bus in every ten minutes for Palace of Versailles. It takes 29 minutes to reach the Palace of Versailles from the Paris centre by bus. The palace is at 7 minute walking distance from the bus stop.
One can also rent a car at 3 € from Paris and drive to the Palace of Versailles in 20 minutes, while embracing the beauty of the city on wheels. Do book a parking slot in advance as the place is heavily crowded.
For those booking a cab, individual option will cost you 26€ while a ride share comes at 3€. But, the former will take 20 minutes to reach the place while the later would require 42 minutes.
Walk your way
For travellers, who want to explore the city while heading to the Palace of Versailles, walking is a cool option but if you are fit enough to walk for about 4 hours 5 minutes from Hotel de Ville, Paris. This option is only recommended to people who are exploring other places along with the Palace of Versailles on the foot. Besides, if you are nearby the Palace then you can go for walking.
