June to August is the best time to visit Santorini. This is when Santorini is at its best. The sea is the warmest, the sun is the brightest and the colorful city blocks are at their prettiest. Weather in July in Santorini becomes the warmest as per the island standards, but in itself, it is an extremely pleasant climate for vacationing. Precipitation and humidity are at their lowest during this time.

September - November (11°C to 25°C)

The great weather from summer still lingers in the autumn season, although the winds die down a little bit in Santorini in October. The difference sets in from around mid-October, when suddenly from warm and sunny it can turn cold and cloudy. Finally, in November, the coolness of winter draws in. Most luxury hotels shut down by the end of November, and so do many other activities like water sports and cruising.

Visiting Santorini in September and October will get you the same slashed price as during the months of April and May.

December - February (10°C to 15°C)

The main three winter months hit a real low in Santorini when it comes to tourism. Most of the towns except the capital Fira are shut down to tourism. Restaurants, shops, bars and clubs in the capital are open and welcome the little number of tourists who crowd here during winter. Though the weather might be chilly, a sudden shower may bring it down further.
