About Cultural Places In Himachal Pradesh

The state of Himachal Pradesh has a rich cultural heritage. It is famed for its ancient monuments, handicrafts, local music, traditional dances, fairs, festivals and local cuisine. The colorful dresses and elaborate rituals of the Himachali people is sure to strike you as amazing, and somewhat similar to the rituals of the people living in the plains. The people of Himachal are pretty friendly and welcoming of tourists, and even go out of their way to help out others.

The culture of the state has been shaped by several communities, including Brahmins, Kolis, Rajputs and Choudharies among several others. There is also a tribal population here that has had a lot of impact on some of the customs of the state. The most common language spoken here is Pahari, although now Hindi, Punjabi and English are also pretty common. Some of the handicrafts that you must buy from Himachal includes shawls, stoles, woolens, leather items, wooden artifacts, clay statuettes and bamboo items.

    The experience with TT and Scape Tours was below satisfaction. The cab and driver service caused us inconvenience with the driver not providing service in accordance with our itinerary. Our booking had cab service until 10 pm but the driver was not willing to drive after 7 pm. This caused us inconve
    nience especially given the fact that we were a family with 2 small kids. The payment process was also confusing as Scape Tour delegated our booking to another company and in the middle of the trip the driver of that company started asking us to pay them directly. Scape Tour was also not pro active in communicating when and how much payment installment is required for the booking. We would get a message one day to make same day payment and until we paid, we would constantly get messages and calls ( every 10-15 minutes) which was frustrating while we were in the middle of our trip. On the whole, the experience was less than satisfactory.
