Tourist Places in Himachal Pradesh

Let the experts guide you to the best of this mesmerizing destination

Himachal Pradesh has twelve districts and each have their own unique selling points and appeals.

Tourist places in Himachal Pradesh cannot be counted on fingers. Besides the landscaping of this hilly state, the view of the rising and setting sun from your room will be anything but expected. At night, the view of the glittering stars will be a view indescribable in words.

The main places to visit in Himachal Pradesh are obviously the districts like Kasauli, Manali, Kullu and of course, the capital Shimla. You cannot skip Dharamsala when you go to the Himachal. It is a small town, a town which the great Dalai Lama considers his second home. You will find traces of the Buddhist culture in Dharamsala. Chail, Solan, Pawanoo, Simmaur etc. also make it to the list of places to visit in Himachal Pradesh. For an adventurous time in Himachal, do visit Bir. It is the hub of all adventure found in Himachal. At subsidize rates, you can try paragliding. The mountainous terrain will allow you to go trekking. These are few of the adventure sports in Himachal.

The Jaitak Fort, the Sujanpur fort and the Kuthar fort are the historical sites that you should visit. The churches and cathedrals in Himachal Pradesh are an architectural marvel. The buildings have been constructed to display the neo gothic colonial styles that the British buildings displayed.

One cannot forget to visit the Malana village. It is the most desired location for those following the stoner culture. It is where you can find freshly grown medicinal ‘herbs’. Out of the places to visit in Himachal Pradesh for a honeymoon, Manali tops the list. It is known as the honeymoon capital of India. It is where the newlyweds can find themselves at peace.

In Himachal, you can opt for a homestay option wherein you will be provided with stay by a native family of Himachal. When living with the locals, you will get a sense of how the himachali people live and can even visit the bazaars, just like them. In order to see Himachal from a different perspective, you need to stay with the locals and live like the locals.

One cannot possibly miss the fact that Himachal Pradesh state is at the foot of the Himalayas. So on a snowy morning, you can admire the beauty of the snow capped mountains, maybe even go for a hike.

The best places for sightseeing in Himachal Pradesh are many, however the best of them are the scenery and the vibrant colours you will see on your journey up to the hills. The fresh air that you will breathe in, the freshly made tea in the morning and the sumptuous breakfast will energize you for the day’s sightseeing. Himachal state has a district that is the haven of all those seeking the blessings of Shiva, it is called Kasol. The place is the most frequently visited by youngsters seeking some respite from their student life. All in all, the whole of Himachal Pradesh has something to offer, so be sure to visit even the most cliched places because at the end of the day, they are famously known.

Nagraj's 7 days trip to Himachal

Prajakta's 6 days trip to Himachal

Booked Amritsar Dalhousie Dharamshala tour with ideal tours. Services of Hotel Sawera Grand at Amritsar were pathetic. The travel agent wanted us to remind her of the trip as she was busy with personal commitments. We had to wait for hotel rooms as the hotel was not informed about early check in. Despite full payment to the travel agent our check out was delayed as hotel was not paid. Driver drove recklessly in ghats causing motion sickness. The travel agent had no clue about booking at Wagah border and other trek details. Hotel DLS at Mcleodganj and Hotel Ark at Dalhousie were good.

Moupiya's 5 days trip to Himachal

This is our 3rd trip with Travel Triangle. But this time trip was not as we expected as earlier trips. Could have been better. Itinerary was well planned arranged by Travel on Ease and our driver was very professional and polite. Problem was the poor coordination among the local coordinator ,driver and hotel. Detailed information was not shared with driver about hotels ,bus timing, itinerary etc. We had to wait till last minute for Bus details from delhi to manali and vice versa on which our inter linked travelling journey to Odisha was dependent. Had to call several times for the Travel Details n Timing. We checked out from hotel in kasol and waited for the bus details from 1.30 pm to 7 pm in a restaurant which was very irritating. No details received for further plan. Similarly while travelling from delhi , had to wait in delhi for manali bus details for 11 am to 6 am.Just 1.30 hrs before we received bus details. If we had received details earlier we could arrange hotel for rest and check out hotel accordingly. Manali Hotel "Yaato Retreat" was great. We spent 02 days there in manali. Great service, behaviour, location near mall road. Overall great service. Also thanks to Travel on Ease for the arrangement of Cake on our anniversary day. A big thanks to them. Kasol Hotel Devlok International was also good.location is at the kasol market place.Room view was great.Service was good. You can roam around the market area nearby and visit some famous cafes. The stay was comfortable. Had a very good experience except the starting day and the last day. I would suggest for the customer taking the bus booking from delhi to manali in your own scope instead of any agency in order to avoid the last minute rush. This is also a suggestion to Himachal agency if you can't share the bus details before 01 day then don't take the bus booking in your scope as it creates a big rush confusion and tension in customer part which ultimately destroys all the beautiful memories collected in the trip. Customers forward journey from Delhi is dependent on our itinerary shared timing. Please do share all the details with timing at least 01 day prior so that they can plan accordingly without wasting time sitting idle and plan accordingly for forward journey to their convenience.
