Rich in preserving cultures and ancient traditions Mandi is a colorful place packed with thick greenery and enchanting lakes. Covered with pines and deodar trees the place observes a beautiful tea plantation which is a major tourist attraction especially for tea lovers. Situated at the junction of Kullu and Dharamshala the place is now a famous commercial hub. Offering a perfect combination of warm nd cold climate Mandi observes majorly all seasons in a row throughout the year. Filled with gardens, forests and hill stations the place is a gateway to many popular valleys such as Manali, Kullu, Spiti, and Lahaul. Due to its breathtaking lakes, architecturally and culturally renowned temples and adventurous trekking spots Mandi witnesses a crowd from all age groups.
To explore every nook of the city you must carry a Mandi Map along and don’t forget to interact with the locals around they are the cheapest and sometimes the most trustworthy sources of information. Nearly all the residents of Mandi are well-versed in Punjabi, Hindi, and Engish. You can easily communicate and clear your queries from them in either of the three languages.
The most popular Mandi cuisine is Sepu Badi. It is a delighting preparation of Dal, spinach, and yogurt which is delicious indeed but unfortunately the cuisine has not gained the culinary fame outside the state of Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, the centrally crucial North Indian food is available and consumed in and around the place. Options for vegetarians and nonvegetarians are available in huge numbers. So while exploring the place you might come across many exceptionally unique vegetarian restaurants and nonvegetarians restaurants for the convenience of all kinds of tourists. Moreover, while around the hill stations, you must have the warm and flavored teas and freshly cooked Maggi (noodles) which are famous across the entire nation, but a trip to any hill station is incomplete without a plate of hot and delicious Maggi. Mandi which maintains a hub of hill stations and lakes houses many local shops that serve nothing but Maggi.

Pravin's 4 days trip to MandiOverall trip was great. Nice weather, nice spots. A bit costly all the things at solang valley. Not worth as compared to time given for activities. Manali hotel overall is good place for living. Propmt service. Only things they can add is adding varieties in daily dinner and breakfast. Kasol hotel was not good. Heater provided with extra charges was not even ok. Its waste of money. Food also was not good. Driver was good at driving. But at starting he was not enthusiastic for showing different places or not even same places which was mentioned in trip details. Expecting other places or options if any of the place is closed or not reachable. Solang valley - only place with snow. Kasol - Manikarn -mesmerizing view. Manali street mall.
