Locals may try to overcharge, so it's best to be aware of prices beforehand. You can skip Pahalgam if you're planning to visit Gulmarg and book a gondola ride in advance online. There isn't much to see in Pahalgam, so it's better to stay in Srinagar and explore local places and try their authentic cuisine. Wherever you go from Srinagar, you'll find snow. Therefore, choose your places wisely, as you'll see the same thing everywhere. It's essential to be careful since hotels are expensive, and locals may try to indulge you in different activities at high prices which aren't worth it. Although Breezy Travels helped us plan the trip better, I find Kashmir overrated compared to Himachal and Uttarakhand.
