Pony rides in Sonamarg and Pahalgam are among the popular things to do in Kashmir.

A few hours ride on winding trails takes visitors through dense forests and beautiful meadows. The ride is reasonably priced for its duration and is suitable for visitors of all ages. Camping and trekking near Sonamarg are popular among thrill-seekers.

Gulmarg is a hub of several adventure activities in Kashmir, especially during winter. December through February when the terrain is covered in snow, tourists take gondola rides and skiing lessons in Gulmarg. The sweeping views from Apharwat peak mesmerise honeymooners and children. Exploring the Gurez valley in North Kashmir is one of the best things to do in Kashmir. The valley is home to a few nomadic tribes that retain their old traditions and live a simple life. Taking a wooden boat ride on Dal Lake is one of the wholesome family activities to do in Kashmir.

The white waters of Lidder River are easy or moderate making the river ideal place to do rafting. Once you’ve visited the Betaab Valley near Pahalgam, do find time to conquer the noisy waters of river Lidder. Paragliding in Sonamarg, Bhaderwah, and Gulmarg will leave you speechless as you take it the majestic views of mountains. If we order non-vegetarian food, that's what we should get, but in many places we get vegetarian food. Plz tell the agency to be serious about basic services. Overall the trip to Kashmir is nice and a must visit place for the travelers once in a lifetime. The place is really a heaven but need certain points of improvements regarding uncertainty/ unforeseen events, safety & security, overprice/overbudget places & over tip culture everywhere despite of best services. Trip was organized fine by 'Travelancer kashmir' company via agent Iqra madam initially and then Ishrat madam, however there are some issues wrt itinerary provided by the company regarding compliances/ follow up of hotels ratings and their hospitality/ services which needs to be taken seriously further in future for other Travelers.
