- While going cruising down Karamana river, be sure to carry a camera and binoculars as the banks are very picturesque and a number of trees and birds can also be observed.
- While going for boating, keep in mind to not mess about once on the boat. For kayaking and canoeing, keep the instructions you have been given firmly in mind.
- The Karamana river has gotten fairly polluted in recent times and as such, drinking the water or taking a bath is not the best idea here.
- For those interested, the boat club also organize tours to the small islands nearby where there are some small manufacturing plants for coir.
