Off late there are a lot of biking groups who have travelled from various parts of India to Ladakh. If you are planning to travel from Kolkata to Ladakh, then here are the options of travel for you.

Kolkata To Ladakh By Air: Air is one of the fastest and the most convenient ways to travel to Leh Ladakh from Kolkata. There are flights operated from Kolkata to Delhi on a frequent basis post which one can take a connecting flight from Delhi to Leh. From Leh, there are cabs available on hire to help you reach Ladakh in the shortest possible time.

Kolkata to Ladakh By Train: There are no direct trains from Kolkata to Ladakh, which is the cheapest way to commute in India. However, there are trains from Kolkata to Jammu Tawi which is at a distance of about 705 Kilometres. Cabs are available from Jammu Tawi to Ladakh.

Kolkata to Ladakh By Road: The road journey from Kolkata to Ladakh is a stretch upto 34 Hours. If you are travelling by car then you can split this journey into 3 to 4 days as the hilly climbs of Ladakh can get strenuous to drive all by yourself. The hotels Bodi Tree and The Dunes were excellent. But the cottage at Pangong and the hotel at Hanley was horrible and hopeless. I wish u please make the tourists aware that there is no heater, no hygiene and food is hopeless in these 2 places.
