How to Reach Hulhumale Island

Situated in the South of North Male Atoll, Hulhumale Island attracts large number of globetrotters and honeymooners all over the world. This is an artificial island that fulfills both the existing and future commercial and industrial housing demands that arises in the Male region. As per the census conducted in 2016, the current population of Hulhumale Island is 40,000. The city is also said to be the first city to be developed as smart city in Maldives, which makes this place one of the most visited places among travelers in the Maldives. The beautiful surroundings, white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, coconut groves, adventure sports and the lip smacking Maldivian seafood adds even more charm and excitement to the tourists’ trip.

Hulhumale Island is located at a distance of 6.5km from Velena International airport and has a lot to offer to the tourists. From enjoying adventure water sports to taking a walk at the beach with the loved ones, this island will give tourists an experience that they will cherish for the lifetime. Tourists can also indulge themselves in daytime activities like playing volleyball, badminton, other adventure sports like Kayaking, scuba diving, snorkeling and sailing. Another reason that makes this place quite popular among tourists is that all the water sports available here are quite affordable.
