Nestled quietly between subtropical forests on one side and the mighty Himalayan peaks on the other, Nepal is one of the hidden treasures of the world.

But thanks to extensive tourism, the country is quickly becoming a hot favorite destination. Ever since Nepal opened up its borders to the outside world, it has been a bustling hub of hippies, mountain climbers, hikers, trekkers, wanderers and casual tourists. Between the eclectic culture of the cities like Kathmandu and Bhaktapur and serenity of nature in Pokhara or Chitwan, there are a plethora of things to do in Nepal.

Trekking in Nepal:

Trekking in Nepal is not only about Everest and Kanchenjunga base camp trek, though those are the most popular ones. There are many other spectacular, blood-pumping and heart-rushing trekking routes all around Nepal to explore. Annapurna Circuit Trek is an iconic one, girdling all the different routes across the giant Annapurna massif. Manaslu trek and Langtang valley trek are perhaps the most beautiful trails of the country. If there is a time crunch, one can go for the Ghorepani Poonhill trek which takes only 4 days. Those who are amateurs in mountain trekking can start with treks to Island peak or Mera peak.

Adventure activities in Nepal:

Nepal seems like all spiritual and cultural on the surface. But once you scratch deeper, there are tons of adventure activities to take part in Nepal. Nepal things to do include mountain biking through the woods of Kathmandu valley is an experience worth savouring, so are the rafting sessions on Bhote Koshi River. Paragliding in the valley, zip flying in Pokhara, skydiving from higher than Everest are some of the other extreme adventure sports that Nepal has to offer.

Here are the best things to do in Nepal.

1. Flying over the Himalayas

If trekking or other adventure sports are not your things, but you still want to see the Himalayas at their best and mightiest, the flight over the Himalayas is a perfect drill. The panoramic mountain flight tour has everything one can hope for to see in the Nepalese mountains. The unmatched grandeur of the Himalayas can be seen from a bird’s eye view. One can see the peaks like Manaslu, Gosiathan, Gauri Shankar, Dorje Lhakpa the great Mount Everest. The same tour can be done on a helicopter as well.

2. Zipline flying in Pokhara

The zipline in Sarangkot, Pokhara is the newest addition to Nepal adventure spots. The vertical drop of 600 metres over a distance of 1800 metres is not something meant for those weak in the hearts. This is one of the top things to do in Nepal to get high on adrenaline.

3. Bungee Jumping at Bhote Koshi

People know the Bhote Koshi River for rafting. But it has yet another adventure activity stationed on it. The 160 metres bungee jump from atop a cliff down to the river below is an inexplicable experience to have.

4. Jungle safari in Chitwan

Chitwan National Park is one of Nepal’s treasures – not only because it supports the rich ecological biodiversity of the country, but also because of all the tourism it generates as one of the best Nepal points of interest. Jungle safari in Chitwan on jeep or elephant rides is a lovely way to explore the wilderness the country has to offer.

5. Sightseeing in Kathmandu

The capital city of Nepal is home to numerous historical, culturally-important heritage sites. Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath temple, Swayambhu temple, Durbar Square – all of them are must-visit places in Nepal.

Rittika's 6 days trip to Nepal

I recently traveled to Kathmandu with Kabru Adventure Holidays, and the experience was honestly seamless from start to finish. They offered us one of the best packages at the best prices, without compromising on comfort or experiences. A big shoutout to Amit, who was extremely proactive right from the planning stage - from customizing the itinerary exactly to our preferences to making sure every detail was taken care of. What really stood out was his day-to-day follow-ups during the trip. He would check in daily to see how things were going, if we were comfortable, and if we needed anything at all while we were in Nepal. That level of personal care and attention made us feel truly looked after, especially in a new country. From planning to execution, everything felt smooth and stress-free. I’d highly recommend Kabru Adventure Holidays if you’re looking for great value, thoughtful planning, and a travel experience where someone genuinely has your back.

Nishanth's 5 days trip to Nepal

We recently completed a family trip to Nepal for 6 adults and a toddler, and our experience with Amit from Kabru Adventure Holidays was outstanding. Right from the planning stage, Amit was honest, humble, patient, and extremely helpful. He customised the itinerary perfectly for elders and a toddler, answered all our questions, and even accommodated last-minute additions like the Himalayan mountain flight without any hesitation. Amit personally received us at the airport, provided a local SIM for easy communication, and stayed in touch throughout the trip. His coordination with the drivers, hotels, flights, and sightseeing arrangements was seamless. Even when we faced delays, hotel issues, or sudden closures of attractions, Amit handled everything proactively and ensured our plans continued smoothly. The hotels provided were comfortable, the vehicles were clean with courteous drivers, and the entire trip felt safe, organised, and relaxed. Small gestures—like adjusting plans on the go, fixing issues immediately, and personally seeing us off at departure—made a big difference. Overall, Amit and his team made our Nepal trip memorable, comfortable, and hassle-free. If you’re planning a trip to Nepal and need someone trustworthy and genuinely caring, we highly recommend Kabru Adventure Holidays. Thank you, Amit, for the wonderful experience!

Aravind's 8 days trip to Nepal

The coordinator did a great job overall but could have been more attentive. There was some confusion with the itinerary, but it was managed well. Hotels (Ama la - Thamel, Kathmandu ; Tuki resort, Pokhara ; De Purang, Muktinath ; Rain forest, Chitwan) all were good. The food was best in Chitwan. Thanks for the great memories - Amit. Good job.

Arulak's 8 days trip to Nepal

Travel agents in some places provide lower categories of hotels even though better accommodation available. Picking up at the airport should be rightly maintained. Also the facilities available in any place of visit to be rightly mentioned in the program. The trip was wonderful journey with a friendly Driver cum Guide Mr Balaram. He satisfied all our needs and queries.
