Adventure Activities Nepal
Nestled quietly between subtropical forests on one side and the mighty Himalayan peaks on the other, Nepal is one of the hidden treasures of the world. But thanks to extensive tourism, the country is quickly becoming a hot favorite destination. Ever since Nepal opened up its borders to the outside world, it has been a bustling hub of hippies, mountain climbers, hikers, trekkers, wanderers and casual tourists. Between the eclectic culture of the cities like Kathmandu and Bhaktapur and serenity of nature in Pokhara or Chitwan, there are a plethora of things to do in Nepal.
Trekking in Nepal:
Trekking in Nepal is not only about Everest and Kanchenjunga base camp trek, though those are the most popular ones. There are many other spectacular, blood-pumping and heart-rushing trekking routes all around Nepal to explore. Annapurna Circuit Trek is an iconic one, girdling all the different routes across the giant Annapurna massif. Manaslu trek and Langtang valley trek are perhaps the most beautiful trails of the country. If there is a time crunch, one can go for the Ghorepani Poonhill trek which takes only 4 days. Those who are amateurs in mountain trekking can start with treks to Island peak or Mera peak.
Adventure activities in Nepal:
Nepal seems like all spiritual and cultural on the surface. But once you scratch deeper, there are tons of adventure activities to take part in Nepal. Nepal things to do include mountain biking through the woods of Kathmandu valley is an experience worth savouring, so are the rafting sessions on Bhote Koshi River. Paragliding in the valley, zip flying in Pokhara, skydiving from higher than Everest are some of the other extreme adventure sports that Nepal has to offer.
Here are the best things to do in Nepal.
1. Flying over the Himalayas
If trekking or other adventure sports are not your things, but you still want to see the Himalayas at their best and mightiest, the flight over the Himalayas is a perfect drill. The panoramic mountain flight tour has everything one can hope for to see in the Nepalese mountains. The unmatched grandeur of the Himalayas can be seen from a bird’s eye view. One can see the peaks like Manaslu, Gosiathan, Gauri Shankar, Dorje Lhakpa the great Mount Everest. The same tour can be done on a helicopter as well.
2. Zipline flying in Pokhara
The zipline in Sarangkot, Pokhara is the newest addition to Nepal adventure spots. The vertical drop of 600 metres over a distance of 1800 metres is not something meant for those weak in the hearts. This is one of the top things to do in Nepal to get high on adrenaline.
3. Bungee Jumping at Bhote Koshi
People know the Bhote Koshi River for rafting. But it has yet another adventure activity stationed on it. The 160 metres bungee jump from atop a cliff down to the river below is an inexplicable experience to have.
4. Jungle safari in Chitwan
Chitwan National Park is one of Nepal’s treasures – not only because it supports the rich ecological biodiversity of the country, but also because of all the tourism it generates as one of the best Nepal points of interest. Trip to NepalThank you ashirvad travels for putting up so much effort to make my nepal trip memorable . It was my first trip with my fiance outside india and we had a great time in nepal . I had a tough time while returning when our car broke down but u guys did a awesome job arranging a alternate vehicle in a very small time . The driver deepak was very nice and guided us throughout the trip . Special thanks to SUMIT MISHRA to take care of all our need before , and throughout the journey ,you are a big asset to the company ,keep up the good work bro . Breakfast in the hotels was a bit disappointing but rest was excellent. Once again thank you ashirvaad travels and the team .
Trip to NepalIt was such an amazing experience. Our driver Pravin was very kind, helpful and keep us safe during the tour. The staff of our hotels was so kind, welcoming, cheerful and respectful. Trip to NepalThe overall experience of booking through Travel Triangle was quite good . The concept is effective , as one gets directed to specialists for region one is travelling to . The initial interactions with the portal are quite professional and transparent in that it provides one with several independant quotes to choose from . However , in our case the travel partner that we chose , M/s.TripMasters , could do with a little more expertise with respect to i) Knowledge about various tariiffs involved etc. In our case we ended up paying approx. extra 10 % for the Hotel at the last stage as one us was an NRI . The travel partner cannot say this was unknown to them as thte flight tickets booked by them was basis IDs which clearly indicated nationalities . ii) The travel partner should update themselves with local holidays & events etc. at the destination .In our case due to elections in Nepal we lost a whole day and paid extra on travel alterations. iii) It would also do well to employ drivers who spend long durations in transit with the travellers to be a little more knowledgeable about local culture etc. if not to the extent of being a tour guide . The choice of hotels was quite satisfactory and itinerary very well explained and adhered to except for the above , in this case . We realised that one need not be a professional mountaineer to experience the mountains . While in Nepal one should not return without experiencing the mountains. There are options that one can choose to experience mountain trekking . Travel Traingle provides ample travel options to choose from and one can tailor one's requirements to needs and be assured of reasonable charges according to ones need. .
