      FAQs for Himachal

What is the best time to visit Himachal Pradesh?

The best time to visit is between May and June or October and November. The state gets notoriously cold during the winter months which begins in December. It is best to visit when the weather is comfortably cool. Despite traveling during the summer months, make sure to pack warm clothes, because the summers of Himachal Pradesh are much colder than most other Indian states!

Do I need to be very physically fit for trekking in Himachal?

For trekking, it is recommended that you have an average level of fitness. Trekking is not recommended for those with joint and bone problems and those who are unable to walk 5 km up a hilly terrain. Children and young adults are the best categories of people to thoroughly enjoy a trek!

What is Himachal Pradesh famous for?

Himachal Pradesh is most famous for its beautiful mountain terrain and the pristine, preserved nature you can find in the villages and towns. There are also a number of activities like rock climbing, mountain biking, river rafting, animal watching, and other sports and adventure activities that have made the place a popular destination for travelers and thrill-seekers.

What should I pack for my holiday to Himachal Pradesh?

Make sure to pack sweaters and jackets! Heavy clothing for the winters and light woolen clothing for the summers. Also, make sure to carry an umbrella and waterproof luggage covers as rainfall can be quite unpredictable. Take along sunscreen, emergency medical supplies and comfortable shoes for trekking.

Will the mobile connectivity in Himachal be good?

As Himachal Pradesh has become a popular tourist destination for people from all over the world, the government has taken extra efforts to improve mobile connectivity and network coverage. You should be able to get coverage in most parts of the state, but even if you are visiting a remote part of the place, you will still be able to communicate using public phone booths or through hotel phones.

Sai's 4 days trip to Himachal

To keep it simple, Agent didn't coordinate with the driver and misguided us owing to which we couldn't complete the itinerary for day 1. On day 2, we have to complete itinerary of day 1 and hence we couldn't complete the schedule of day 2 site seeing. After day 1, the trip advisor demanded the payment. I paid 26k and held 4k and told the agent that I will make the payment only after they coordinate properly on day 2 and complete the commitment properly. They kept on arguing and finally spoiled our trip experience by rigorously following up payment. We don't go on a vacation to argue with people unnecessarily and spoil our mood. The agents should have the basic common sense. They don't even care if their commitment is fulfilled. They are only concerned about money.
