      The Motithang Takin Preserve is open from 09:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m every day, except Monday.

      No, photography or videography is not allowed inside the monastery. Cameras or any kind of recording devices are prohibited inside the temple complex. So, it is not possible to click pictures inside the temple complex. The tourists have to deposit their backpacks along with all such items at the entrance of the Tiger’s Nest.

      It takes around 2 hours for an average healthy tourist to complete the trek and reach the monastery. One can also avail the horse-ride option in order to make it easy to reach.
