Five nights works for a first Bali trip from Surat, though the journey uses up a good part of Day 1 and Day 6. This plan changes hotels once. Three tour days come first, and the Seminyak nights leave room for one extra outing.

5 Nights 6 Days Bali Itinerary from Surat

Day 1: Surat to Bali, Arrive in Kuta

You leave Surat Airport (STV) the day before or in the small hours, depending on your connection, and land at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar. Our representative meets you at arrivals and drives you to Grand La Walon on Jalan Benesari, about 20 minutes away when traffic is light. Check-in starts at 2 pm, so ask for early access if you land in the morning.

The rest of the day is yours. Kuta Beach is about a 600-metre walk from the hotel, and Legian's shops and restaurants are close by. It is a good evening to change money, buy a local SIM and find dinner.

Day 2: Ayung Rafting and Kintamani

Leave by about 7:30 am, because this is your longest day. You drive about 1.5 hours to Payangan for two hours of rafting on the Ayung River, with the gorge walls and rice terraces above you. Your rafting operator sets the age limit, so tell your agent the ages of any children when you book.

Dry off and head north to Kintamani, where the ridge looks across the caldera to Mount Batur, the active volcano, and Lake Batur. It is noticeably cooler up here, so keep a light layer in the car. On the way back down you stop at a plantation of cocoa and paddy fields. Expect to reach Kuta around 6:30 pm.

Day 3: Tanjung Benoa Water Sports and Turtle Island

After breakfast, you drive about 45 minutes to Tanjung Benoa, Bali's water sports strip. Your package covers three activities here. You snorkel, ride a banana boat, and take a glass-bottom boat across to Turtle Island to see the sea turtles up close. Any entry charge on the island is shown on your quote.

Parasailing and scuba diving run from the same area at your own cost. Mornings are the calmest time on the water. You are back at the hotel by mid-afternoon, with the evening free in Kuta.

Day 4: Half-Day Ubud Tour, Then Your Seminyak Pool Villa

Check out by about 8:30 am and load your bags into your private vehicle. Ubud is about 1.5 hours from Kuta. You walk the Sacred Monkey Forest, keeping sunglasses and phones tight, then see Ubud Palace and browse the Ubud Art Market for paintings, bags and silver.

After lunch in town, you drive about 1.25 hours to Seminyak and reach New Pondok Sara around 3 pm, after check-in opens at 2 pm. Your villa has its own pool, so the rest of the day can stay very simple. A spa or massage is an easy extra here at your own cost, and Seminyak's restaurants are a short ride away for dinner.

Day 5: Seminyak City Tour and a Free Afternoon

Your half-day city tour runs in the morning, with Petitenget Temple, Seminyak Beach and the boutiques along Jalan Kayu Aya. Shop as long as you like, because the afternoon is free.

This is the day to add one more outing. Uluwatu Temple with the Kecak dance fits after the city tour. A Nusa Penida day trip takes the whole day, so it replaces the city tour. Prefer to do nothing? Your pool is waiting, and Seminyak Beach faces west for the sunset.

Day 6: Bali to Surat

Have breakfast and pack. Check-out is at noon, and your transfer takes you to Denpasar airport in time for your flight home. Share your flight times with your agent, because a morning departure means leaving before breakfast. You change planes on the way, so keep the next day clear if you can.

Hotels

Days 1 to 3: Grand La Walon Hotel, Kuta. Jalan Benesari, Kuta 80361. A 3-star hotel with an outdoor pool on a lane between Kuta and Legian, about 600 metres from Kuta Beach.

Days 4 to 5: New Pondok Sara Villas, Seminyak. Jalan Arjuna, Gang Raja, Seminyak 80361. A 4-star property of 21 units, with one- and two-bedroom villas listed with private pools. Check-out is at noon, so your last morning has no rush.

What Rs 30,000 Buys

Rs 30,000 per person covers five hotel nights, five breakfasts, every transfer on a private basis and the five tours below. It works out at Rs 6,000 a night per person on twin sharing. Two things are worth knowing before you compare it with other Bali prices. It does not include your visa or flights, and many listed Bali packages from Surat do not say whether they do. Ask any seller the same question, then compare hotel names, meals and which tours are private.

Inclusions and Exclusions

5N/6D Bali Trip Cost from Surat, Per Person

Rs 30,000 is the land price. From Surat, plan on about Rs 90,000 to Rs 1.28 lakh per person once flights and daily costs are added. The flight is the biggest swing, so your travel month matters more than any other line here.

Fares were checked in late October 2026. Return fares for 5 to 10 January 2027 started at Rs 55,036 on Expedia India that week, and Diwali, Christmas and New Year weeks can run above this band. Water sports beyond the three included, shopping and add-ons also sit on top. Ask your agent which entry tickets the price covers, because your quote is the final word on those. Rupee figures use about IDR 190 to the rupee. Your agent can add flights to the quote so you see one number.

Flying from Surat to Bali

No airline flies non-stop from Surat (STV) to Denpasar (DPS), so you change planes at least once. The usual plan is a domestic flight to Delhi or Bengaluru, then a non-stop to Bali, with Air India from Delhi and IndiGo from Bengaluru. One-stop itineraries we found took about 14 hours, and some ran past 23 hours, so judge a fare by its layover as well as its price.

Mumbai is the other choice, a little over 3 hours away by the fastest trains. Check the Bali leg before you book, because IndiGo's Mumbai flight has stopped on the way, and a non-stop was planned from 1 January 2027. Keep both flights on one ticket where you can, so a delay is the airline's problem to fix. Bali runs 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Surat.

Visa, Levy and Rupiah for Indian Travellers

Before you leave Surat, buy your e-VoA online, or pay for a Visa on Arrival at the Denpasar counter. Either costs IDR 500,000 for 30 days. Pay the separate IDR 150,000 Bali tourist levy, which applies once per trip, and fill in the All Indonesia arrival card online in the 72 hours before you land. Your passport needs 6 months of validity. Carry some rupiah for taxis and small shops.

Who This Trip Suits, Food and When to Go

Couples get the most from the private pool, and families get a simple plan with one hotel move. Older travellers should know that Day 2 is long and the rafting is physical, so ask your agent to swap it for extra time at Kintamani. Vegetarian food is easy to find in Kuta and Seminyak, which both have Indian restaurants. Jain food takes more planning, so tell your agent at booking and carry a few packed snacks from Surat. Indonesian kitchens use shrimp paste in many sauces, so ask before you order.

April to October is the dry season, with clearer views at Kintamani. Diwali, when Surat's diamond and textile units usually shut, and the Christmas to New Year weeks fill early, so book those first.
