Because there is no direct flight or train from Vijayawada to Manali, the single most useful thing to sort out first is how you actually get there. That is the next section, and it is the part most other Vijayawada packages skip.

How to Reach Manali From Vijayawada

There is no direct flight and no direct train from Vijayawada to Manali. Manali has no airport or railway station of its own, so every route runs through Delhi or Chandigarh and then climbs the last stretch by road. The road distance works out to roughly 2,350 km, which is why nobody drives it. You cover the long leg by air or rail to the plains, and this package takes over from Delhi with a booked Volvo seat. Here is how the three options compare.

    Mode from VijayawadaRoute and timeNotes
By flight (fastest)Fly Vijayawada (VGA) to Delhi in about 2 hours 30 minutes, then the overnight Volvo covers the 532 km to Manali.Smoothest option. Some travellers instead fly into Bhuntar/Kullu (KUU), about 50 km from Manali, but those flights route via Delhi and cost more.
By trainVijayawada Junction (BZA) to Delhi is a long haul of roughly 28 to 32 hours, then road to Manali.Cheapest but slow. Break the journey with a night in Delhi before the Volvo.
By road (the last leg, included)Delhi to Manali is about 532 km, an overnight run of 12 to 14 hours by Volvo. This leg is bundled in your package as a seat-in-coach (SIC) Volvo, both ways.

The overnight Volvo from Delhi crosses into the hills near Mandi and follows the Beas river up to Manali. You reach in the morning, which lines up neatly with hotel check-in on Day 2.

    Day-by-Day Itinerary (5 Days / 4 Nights)

Day 1 - Delhi: Arrival and Overnight Volvo to Manali

Reach Delhi by around 05:00 PM on your own, whether you have flown or taken the train from Vijayawada, and make your way to the Volvo boarding point. The air-conditioned Volvo leaves at about 05:30 PM for the overnight ride to Manali, roughly 12 to 14 hours over 532 km. Settle in, the coach climbs steadily through the night into the mountains along the Beas. Overnight on the Volvo.

Day 2 - Manali: Arrival, Hadimba Temple and Vashisht

You arrive in Manali in the morning. Check in, freshen up, and head out for a half-day of the town's landmark sights. First stop is the Hadimba Devi Temple, a cedar-wood shrine from 1553 set in a deodar forest, then the old stone village of Vashisht with its natural sulphur hot-water springs and the Vashisht temple. If you have energy left, the short uphill walk from Vashisht to Jogini Waterfall is worth it for the valley views. Later, stroll Mall Road and the IBEX market to shop for Kullu shawls and caps. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. Meals: breakfast and dinner.

Day 3 - Manali: Rohtang Pass or Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel

After breakfast, drive out to the snow. Depending on the day's road and permit position, you head to Rohtang Pass (about 3,978 m, the classic snow point that links Manali to Lahaul and Spiti) or to Solang Valley. En route you pass through the Atal Tunnel, about 9.02 km long, one of the highest highway tunnels in the world. Rohtang sits under National Green Tribunal restrictions and is not guaranteed on any given day, so Solang is the reliable snow-and-adventure alternative. At Solang you can add paragliding, zorbing, a cable-car ride, snowboarding, skiing or an ATV run, all payable on the spot. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. Meals: breakfast and dinner.

Day 4 - Kullu and Naggar: Castle, Rafting and an Optional Manikaran Run

Check out after breakfast and drive down towards Kullu, checking in at your Kullu-side hotel. The day covers the 15th-century Naggar Castle, once the capital of Kullu and now a stone-and-timber heritage stay, plus the Gauri Shankar temple and a Kullu shawl factory. On the Beas near Kullu you can take a stretch of white-water river rafting. If you would rather trade the castle for hot springs, Manikaran in the Parvati valley, with its gurudwara and boiling sulphur springs, makes a good customisable add-on. Overnight in Kullu. Meals: breakfast and dinner.

Day 5 - Manali to Delhi: Departure

Enjoy a last mountain breakfast and finish check-out. Drive to the Volvo point and board the coach back to Delhi with a bagful of memories, from where you connect to your onward flight or train home to Vijayawada. Meals: breakfast.

Best Time to Visit and Cancellation Policy

    Best time to visit

For snow play at Solang and a shot at Rohtang, May and June are the peak months, warm days and the surest snow. October to February brings crisp, clear weather and thinner crowds, with fresh snowfall from late December, though Rohtang usually shuts through deep winter. Avoid July to mid-September, when the monsoon triggers landslides on the Mandi stretch. Since your journey starts with a long trip up from Andhra, plan five days as the sensible minimum: two travel days plus three clear days in the hills.

    Cancellation policy

Cancel more than 30 days before departure and you get a refund minus a small processing fee. Between 30 and 15 days, expect to forfeit part of the advance. Inside 15 days, the hotel and Volvo bookings are usually locked, so refunds are limited. There are no hidden slabs beyond this, and your TravelTriangle agent confirms the exact figures in writing before you pay.

Why Book This Manali Trip With TravelTriangle

The Volvo seat both ways is the part that matters most from Vijayawada. It is booked, so you are not chasing a bus in Delhi after a long flight. Our Himachal travel desk has one piece of advice worth following: take the earliest morning flight from Vijayawada to Delhi so you reach the Volvo point with hours to spare, because traffic into the city gets unpredictable in the monsoon. The fares and Volvo schedule on this page are checked by the same desk against the current seat-in-coach timings before every booking.

Ready to lock your dates? This package is part of our wider Manali tour packages collection, and you can compare the full Himachal tour packages range or read the Manali travel guide for weather, permits and what to pack before you customise this Vijayawada trip.

Hotel provided at shimla is barowalia resort, which is a pathetic hotel. initially was promised to give Pahuna resort, but later changed. Itenary provided in the list cannot be completed due to not so super planning, only 60% places can be covered.. Driver is a good person and he is a good gentle
man. after so much of complaints got a better hotel in Manali Varsha Inn a very good hotel thanks to Mrs. Sharma, but the itenary in manali should be planned for 2 days, 1 day is not sufficient, this has to be told to the customer, if customer is having budget problems cover only important places. Because of this creating unnecessary rift between customer and driver, luckily not happened in my case. Neelam is very helpful in co-ordinating things, but as an agency lot to improve.

I had booked Shimla - Manaali six days tour with North India Tours & Travels. From the starting there were trouble with agency. I was asked to contact Mr. Neeraj Negi for driver details. I had followed him four times over phone but he didn't provide the proper details. I got three drivers number an
d had to call all of them to know who will pick me up from Chandigarh. Once driver was fixed, he asked me to leave from Chandigarh early (though I didn't want it) in the morning because he was in Chandigarh that evening and he wanted to return early. when I called Neeraj Negi to know if Hotel room will be available if I reach early, he was blunt and said will you check out early if you are checking in early. Taxi and hotel coordination was his job but I was doing it and he was playing boss role. while travelling to Shimla, taxi driver (Prakash) informed me that he is not from North India tour travel. Taxi driver on day one left without informing. raised the issue on Travel triangle whatsapp group but no help was offer either by travel triangle or Neeraj Negi. During the travel, I had four different drivers (Prakash, Sanjay, Ajay, Raju) and on each day I had to coordinate with these drivers. No professionalism at all. Although, I was informed that I will have single driver through out the tour. while returning from Manaali around 1 PM during the day we were passing through planes (Sundar Nagar, Bilaspur etc) and temperature was 37 deg C and dust outside. requested driver to switch on the AC but he hadn't. this is despite the fact that we were descending from hills or travelling in plane areas. This driver (Ajay) had to pick client from Chandigarh therefore he had asked us to start early from Manaali, which I agreed to. I had to skip the breakfast because of him but when we requested him to switch on the AC, he straight forward denied it. No support from North India tour travel . Only good thing in this trip was hotel in Manaali (Himalayan heights), which is newly built and well maintained. view from this hotel is quite good and it has apple orchard within it's boundary.

Thanks to travel triangle as it was an awesome and excellent experience with Mysterious Himanchal. Ms. Pooja Prashar from Mysterious Himanchal assist me from very first day to till end of my package with the same passion. She has done remarkable job to make my package memorable. Special thanks to
Mysterious Himanchal for providing me luxurious package in the great cost, everything offered by Mysterious Himanchal is best in that budget. Ms. Pooja Prashar is best example for any service class industry, she arranged and planned everything so ideally that had made my family so comfortable and made my trip outstanding, She was there through out the trip to provide suggestion even for those services which were not included in the package, I was in this much comfort during my holiday that i had not put a single query or complain on wassup group form by Travel Triangle. Ms. Pooja Prashar not only responded well to my queries but also ensured about comfortable stay at every hotel location. She used to take daily follow-up that made our stay outstanding. Hospitality at every place was at its best. At nowhere i found that any of the service can be better than what offered to me. It was great experience to stay at hotel Byke Nature Villa, outstanding hotel at excellent location. Hotel Manager and staff was very helpful and polite. Our cab Driver Mr. Ashok Thakur was also helpful and good in nature. His punctuality was the best part. Once again a big thanks to Travel Traingle team, Mysterious Himanchal team, Ms. Somya from Travel Traingle (although things were that much perfect that nothing had been escalated to her) and Ms. POOJA PRASHAR.
