The state of Rajasthan is very well-connected with New Delhi and is easily accessible by air, train, car or bus. The best way to reach any of the cities in Rajasthan from New Delhi is by flight as it takes less than 2 hours to reach Jaipur from New Delhi. It can also be visited by train in 4 hours. Delhi to Rajasthan can also be visited by road via Delhi-Jaipur Highway in just 5 hours as the total distance is approx. 281 km. Listed below is the in-depth analysis of how to reach Rajasthan from Delhi.

 

Delhi To Rajasthan By Air:  Rajasthan’s main international airport is the Jaipur International Airport. If you are traveling from Delhi to Rajasthan, Jaipur is the closest entry point.  There are regular Delhi to Rajasthan flights and it takes about 1 hour and 5 minutes to reach.  

 

Delhi To Rajasthan By Rail:  The main railway station of Rajasthan is the Jaipur junction. Besides, there are two other main stations of Gandhinagar and Durgapara. There are several trains that run from Delhi to Rajasthan and it takes about 4 hours. There are 21 direct trains from New Delhi to Jaipur. Jaipur AC Double Decker, Ashram Express are some of the trains to Jaipur from Delhi. Other cities in Rajasthan like Udaipur, Chittorgarh can also be reached from Delhi by trains like Chetak Express and Mewar Express. Besides this, you can also travel by luxury trains like the "Palace on Wheels". Delhi to Rajasthan train option is best for those who are looking for a budget journey. 

 

Delhi To Rajasthan By Road: By Bus: The journey takes around 5 hours to travel. The fares are reasonably priced and there are regular buses that run from New Delhi to Jaipur. RSRTC buses run from Delhi to Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, etc on a daily basis and the journey is very comfortable. A number of private buses also run on this route. 

 

By Car: Delhi to Rajasthan road trip is an exciting one if you have your own car. It takes 5 hours to reach Jaipur from Delhi and for Udaipur 11 hours 30 minutes. You need to go via NH8 to reach Jaipur from Delhi by car.

    really appreciate Mr. Man Singh ji our driver for 2 days who made the sight seeing more enjoyable. Stay at Jaigarh palace brought the feel of staying at a palace itself. Heritage Juma camp provided a great hospitality and we could feel of the rich culture of Rajasthan. The food too was awesome. We had some spare time and spend the 3rd day at Pol Haveli (arranged by Hemant Singhji) at a roof top restaurant which was another great add on to the trip. Looking forward for more such trips in future. Stay at Jaigarh palace, Hospitality at Heritage Juma camp, Heavenly breeze at Vyas chatri, Journey from Jaisalmer to Sand dunes (thanks to Man Singhji), Kuldhara village a must visit place.

    Both the trip and Trip sailer support was good. Lets also share +/- about trip. Positive: 1. The cab and cab driver [Bhawani Singh] was great, and very helping nature. 2. Food of both the hotels were superb. Needs to improvement: 1. As I have booked the trip request much in-advance, the expectati
    on was to get the best safari zone to visit, but the Safari zone (Zone 7) given to me had a really bad route. Strictly No-No, if you are travelling with small kid. This should be taken care by agent and guest should be better updated on this. 2. With past travel experience, I somewhere know that when we book the rooms from agents v/s we book the rooms directly; the hotel keeps the separate rooms. And the same thing happened in Jaipur, it was a corner room, where the tap, hand shower were not working; also there was tore plastic sheet in bathroom partition, which can anytime hurt the guest. The same was informed to hotel reception. 3. When you pay for the trip, which also means the planning remains with trip agent. But, agent shared the coordinator name [cab/safari], where guest needs to contact them for any further lead and planning. This should be well managed.
