However, some of the dishes that one cannot leave Jaisalmer without trying are kadhi pakoda, pyaz ki kachori, gate ki sabzi, laal maas, ker sangri, and of course, dal bati choorma. For those with a sweet tooth, lassi, bhang, and panchdhari laddoos from Dhanraj Ranmal Bhatia Sweets which is one of Jaisalmer’s famous sweets shops are not to be missed.

Temperatures in the summer can even go up to 50-degree Celsius. In winter, this spectrum changes and the temperature is between 5-degree Celsius to 26-degree Celsius. The local language of Jaisalmer is the local Rajasthani language. However, mostly everyone speaks Hindi as well and due to the large number of tourists, English is understood in the most frequented tourist spots as well. One of the other important aspects of local culture is the Jaisalmer festival that takes place every year. Known as the Desert festival, it lasts for 3 days and many local aspects of Rajasthani culture, like the local art forms, turban tying and camel racing are showcased and explored.

This includes mirror work embroidered garments and carpets, blankets, oil lamps, colorful fabrics, wooden artifacts, silk textiles, and silver jewelry. Basically, it is an ideal place to shop for typical Rajasthani products. Traveling within Jaisalmer:

While travelling within the city, auto rickshaws are one of the primary modes of available transport. During tourist season, it can be tricky to deal with auto drivers as the rates they charge are decided by them and a little bit of haggling is advisable. It is also a good idea to have a tourist map of Jaisalmer so as to make sure that tourists do not get taken for a ride. The other options for travelling within the city include both cycling and walking. Cabs are also available on rent and hire, however these tend to be fairly expensive.

Awati's 6 days trip to Jaisalmer

The owner of the travel company that we travelled with is a person who doesn't even know how to talk with their customers. Firstly our travel agent was Preeti agarwal and when we called her to raise some complaints she was not even able to accept them and then the owner started talking to us. Who is such a egotistic person with no sense of talking to customers.

Gurunathan's 3 days trip to Jaisalmer

The hotels in general were not at a three star level except for Shani Vilas in Ranthambore. The hotel in Agra did not even have hot water. The initial room provided in Delhi's metro view was very bad and we had to request for a change. The toilet flush was not working, the bathroom door did not have a latch, the door was broken etc. Please ensure that the right level of hotels are provided.

Mozhiarasu's 5 days trip to Jaisalmer

The best thing happened is the drivers in the jodpur, who resolved the messed up plan by the travel agent. Hotel Sia Resorts changed and we have been changed to different resort, which was older property. The daywise plan made by the travel agent was absurd and created lot of confusion.

We have booked a tour to Rajasthan through Trip Sailor.com. The accommodation given was really good, the itinerary was nicely curated. But the driver was not up to the mark, he was driving very rashly. The driver as a person was good, he listened to us whenever we asked for anything but road awareness and road safety is important for a tourist driver. Other than that everything was really nice and smooth. It was a hassle free trip to Rajasthan. We really liked your service. Thankyou Sandeep from Trip Sailor.Com City Palace Jaipur was magnificent

Shraddha's 6 days trip to Jaisalmer

We recently had an incredible trip to Rajasthan planned through Back to Holidays, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. A special thanks to Preeti from their team, who organized everything flawlessly. From the beginning, Preeti guided us with great recommendations, especially when it came to hotels. She assured us to trust her choices, and we are so glad we did! The hotels were amazing, with excellent rooms, great service, and delicious food. The vehicle arranged for our travel was comfortable, and our driver was extremely polite and professional. Throughout the trip, Preeti was always available whenever we needed any assistance, making sure everything went smoothly. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the desert camp. It was an unforgettable experience, and we are so thankful to Preeti for recommending it. Everything about it was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I traveled with my family(with 2.5 year old and senior citizen), and we all absolutely loved the entire journey. My parents were especially happy and had a wonderful time without a single complaint. This trip was a truly memorable one, and we highly recommend Preeti from Back to Holidays for a well-planned, stress-free vacation. Thank you, Preeti, and the team for making this trip so special!

Rajatsharma's 5 days trip to Jaisalmer

Hi Back to Holidays Team, We have planned a trip this month to Rajasthan and your Executive Ms. Preeti Sharma has helped us a lot and planned our trip smoothly. The hotels suggested by her in a very cost-centric way and the properties are also good. Even during our trip, she has helped us on call and managed the things. I sincerely want to thank her for support and guidance.
