How To Reach Achalgarh Fort

Achalgarh Fort is located nearly 11 kms away from the outskirts of the city. It a fort in ruins, but it is still a major point of attraction among locals and tourists. It is a good place to spend an afternoon exploring the beauty of a ruined structure, with nature slowly taking over all the cracks and crevices. The road to the fort is a properly maintained one and is well connected to the main city. The best way to get here is via your own vehicle or a taxi since there are currently no buses available to take you there.

If you are driving your own vehicle then the best option is to take the Delwara road from Mount Abu, and then taking Oriya Road. The fort is open from 10 am in the morning to 5 pm in the evening. Once you are here why not also take a look at the nearby attractions such as the temples and lakes right outside the fort. There are also a couple of temples inside the fort, so make sure to not miss them.

The hotels in general were not at a three star level except for Shani Vilas in Ranthambore. The hotel in Agra did not even have hot water. The initial room provided in Delhi's metro view was very bad and we had to request for a change. The toilet flush was not working, the bathroom door did not have

a latch, the door was broken etc. Please ensure that the right level of hotels are provided.

The best thing happened is the drivers in the jodpur, who resolved the messed up plan by the travel agent. Hotel Sia Resorts changed and we have been changed to different resort,which was older property. The daywise plan made by the travel agent was absurd and created lot of confusion.

Everyday, Sidhu used to call and inquire, of any issues we are having. And the driver+car provided by Sidhu for the trip, was just what we wanted for the trip! The Driver (Rakesh) never said "no" to any of our requests. He gave us all the right suggestions, being a local in Rajasthan, which also helped us very much.
