Best Time to Visit Nathula Pass

The best time to visit Nathula pass is summer (April-mid June) and autumn (October-November).The pass remains closed on Monday and Tuesday. Domestic tourists can visit the Nathula Pass in Sikkim on any other day of the week.

Summer (March through June)

The minimum temperature during summer months is approximately 10 degrees. This is the most popular time to the year to visit the pass.

Monsoon (July through October)

There is heavy rainfall during these months in Sikkim which makes the road conditions really slippery. It is not advisable to visit Sikkim in this period due to the offseason and threat of landslide.

Winter (November through February)

Although the pass remains open for road traffic during winter months, the temperature in Nathula pass region drops as low as -25degree in winter. Make sure to wear at least two layers of woolen jackets while visiting areas at higher altitudes in Sikkim.

Nikhil helped organize a 7 N / 8 D trip to Darjeeling and Sikkim.. Was really well planned. The hotels were comfortable and food arrangements extremely good. Driver who took us along was an excellent guide. Good part was we were able to tweak the itinerary to couple of more areas whilst at Gangtok.

Overall a really good experience. Would recommend travel guide to anyone wanting to cover the North East!

Hi, Our trip has been completed and it was quite good. Your services were excellent on the trip. The contact point was responsive and we were always provided good cabs and never had to wait for them. Although our travel had multiple states and a lot of road travel, the cars were never an issue.
