Trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - DarjeelingIt was my pleasure that I got good cab drivers during my visit, very cooperative and polite, except one mr.arvind who dropped me to NJP. His driving was rough, he expects that the tourist should pay him tips. He asked me 200 rupees for stopping at some hotel as waiting charges. He said that as I refused to buy him red bull drink, therefore he is asking for charges. This kind of revengeful drive should not be tolerated. His driving is very rough, we missed closely with accidents. The hotel view of lachane was supper. Mr.sinha attended us at hotel potala, he is a gentleman and very polite and help full. Gem of a person I ever met.
Trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - DarjeelingIt was great...just couple of bad experiences in Darjeeling...rest was great Accommodation at Darjeeling was not great...the room was not clean had dusty blankets and after complaining only they changed the blankets and cleaned a bit. Even the soap shaving blades used by previous guests were there as it is... And the driver assigned for tiger hill view was very rude. He came late and we reached late missed the golden moments.. just for asking why he was late he kept on telling that there was jam...but I told him being local he should know about it and anticipate it in advance and plan accordingly and inform us an early time...we come here by paying so much and can't see the important item means disappointing For that he was threatening me he will throw me out of the car and all..that was very rude... Later he cooled down and there was no other bad experience... But these 2 incidents left a bad taste in otherwise beautiful experience That's y I have rated all my sikkim days as 5 stars where as Darjeeling days as 3 and 4 stars Accommodation at gangtok was super. then the time spent with Mr Obed our driver from Gangtok to Pelling and then to Darjeeling was the most beautiful time. very friendly and mr nice guy. thank you

Trip to Sikkim - Gangtok - DarjeelingOverall had a very good time in Sikkim with my family and a week well spent. We covered Pelling, Lachung & Gangtok during our 8 day trip. Best part was Pelling and Gangtok sightseeing with Baba Mandir and Tsomgo lake. Hotel were good except for Ace Pine Valley Hotel in Pelling. One should avoid this hotel. While the rooms, people and food here was good the infrastructure was poor. Hotel in Pelling and Gangtok was good. Sikkim is untouched part of India with abundance of natural beauty. Visiting Sikkim after Kashmir last year was like icing on the cake. Sai Tours did good work from planning our itinerary till completion of our trip. Alisha have useful tips during planning process. Subhashish was also helpful and was quick to change our hotel at time of need. Driver was also good. Overall a very good experience. Baba Mandir, Tsomgo lake.
