Best Time To Visit Singapore
Plan your trip during best season to experience the best of this stunning destination
Singapore is an all year destination but the best time to visit Singapore is considered to be from November till June. The weather is mostly clear and colder during this time of the year. These winter months are the best season to visit Singapore. One of the most grand festivals which is the Chinese New Year also falls during winters. Throughout the year the temperature fluctuates between 24°C to 32°C. One doesn’t see much variations in the weather. The country’s climate is that of a tropical rainforest, thanks to its shoulder-rubbing proximity with the equator. As a result, Singapore weather is not very varied and enjoys a steady condition of warmth and humidity throughout.
November - June (31 °C to 24 °C): Winter weather and holiday festivals combine to make this period a high season for travel to Singapore. Tourists will have to face Northeast monsoon between November and January. There are usually about 10 to 12 inches of rainfall in the last two months of the year. Accommodation and flight tickets are usually at their peak due to holidays so make your reservations well in advance. After mid-February tourists start to leave the island and hotel rates come down. So, this can be the best month to visit Singapore for travelers not looking for peak season. The months of April and May offer great deals on flights and tourist places are less crowded. During the month of April, the Singapore International Film Festival takes place. If you are enthusiastic about the same and more, plan a visit to Singapore during this month.
July-October (25°C to 32°C ): The Southwest Monsoon hits the island nation between June and September so the tourist footfall is less in these months. The temperature in Singapore is slightly higher and as is humidity. However, tourists can make the most of the Great Singapore Sale in August to get bargains on designer wear. National Day, Grand Prix Singapore, and Singapore Food Festival are top events during this season. If you are a foodie or cultural follower, this is the best time to go to Singapore.
Climate in Singapore
Summer Season in Singapore
Owing to the climatic zone and the maritime conditions all around, Singapore weather feels like summer all year round. But in the months of May and June, weather in Singapore is the absolute hottest. It becomes difficult to enjoy outdoor activities. The temperature itself is not as high – it has only been as high as 36°C on certain occasions in the summer months. But it is the high humidity that makes Singapore weather in June feel much hotter. In the mornings it can go as high as 90% and come down to around 60% in the afternoons. But one can enjoy beach activities like sunbathing or shopping in the cool interiors of Marina Bay Sands.
Monsoon Season in Singapore
The southwest monsoon is the actual rainy season in Singapore. From July to September, there are prolonged heavy rains and the humidity levels reach 100%. But the eastern side of Singapore often remains comparatively drier than the western side because of Rain Shadow Effect caused by Bukit Timah Hill. Despite the small size of Singapore, the tourists can often find Singapore weather in July on the side of the country to be sunny and dry while it pours down on the other side.
The best season to visit Singapore for everyone is the spring season. From mid-March to early May, Singapore climate is perfect for tourists – dry, not too hot and neither very humid. The hotel prices go higher, flight rates spike, and there is an overall burst of tourism in the entire country. So, if one wants to visit Singapore during this period, bookings must be done well in advance. Singapore temperature in May starts spiking, but it does not start raining until June. So, the tourists can easily enjoy all the outdoor and indoor activities without any hassle or trouble at all.
Winter Season in Singapore
Like any equatorial country, Singapore does not really get a distinct winter. The temperature in Singapore hovers around 25°C – 32°C throughout the year on an average. In fact, the winter months of the northern hemisphere, i.e., November to January is mostly covered in rain. Singapore weather in December is often wet and humid. It is the North-east monsoon that brings the second batch of showers into the island country during this mid-November to early March. There are torrential showers and heavy winds in the afternoons, with cloudy conditions for the rest of the day - much like Singapore weather in May only. But for those who do not care about getting a bit wet, this time of the year is a great time to go for the trip because of low flight fares and pocket-friendly accommodations.

Rajiv's 4 days trip to SingaporeTrip was very good. your agent was very good. I am extremely satisfied with the service of we trip.
Hardik's 6 days trip to SingaporeInitially I was skeptical about Adi Travels and Travel Triangle as I used to go through Make My Trip for all my holidays. But trust me, Adi travels is the best choice for Singapore. Best thing is that during my entire stay in Singapore I didnt had to call Santosh from Adi travels once also as the trip was very systematically planned as per my requirement and itenary.
Ankit's 8 days trip to SingaporeWe booked our trip for Singapore and Bali through Ascot Holidays. Thank you Akash for making our trip so wonderful and memorable. My wife and I loved it! He is actually a genuine person, provided the best possible itinerary as per our defined budget. He was very helpful, polite and supportive before and throughout the trip. Provided the vouchers and visa on time. The hotels were splendid, the cabs were on time, the drivers and the coordinators were polite and nice. The travel triangle team were continuously in touch with us throughout the trip. I will definitely recommend the Ascot Holidays to my family and friends. Thank you once again for making our trip so special.
Debaleena's 8 days trip to SingaporeAlthough the places we visited were really beautiful, coordination with ASAP was a pain. Planning is definitely not their strong suite and it shows at all stages of hand-off. The Travel Triangle team, although with their own faults were far more responsive than ASAP team. The simplest of processes became repetitive and cumbersome because of lack of foresight and planning from ASAP. Starting from operations briefing to visa processing (which was doubly complicated by 3 different submissions) and finally on-ground coordination - I found them lacking at all stages. One ray of sunshine was the last mile execution - the local travel agencies ASAP partnered with were quite professional and flexible. Positives: 1. Hotels were quite good. I have heard/read reviews where agencies book different hotels than were promised which are worse in quality. No such mishaps here. Although more information on the hotels should have been briefed. For example, the fact that they collect security deposits and would eat up 80% of the currencies I withdraw would have been a good information to have before we started the trip. 2. Cabs were comfortable especially with several senior citizens in our team. We did not have to worry about the quality of the transport. Although drivers were grumpy and sometimes improperly briefed. 3. Almost all tickets/bookings were correct and done in advance. Except the last day where they goofed up in Kuala Lumpur, the rest of the trip was managed correctly on ground 4. I believe the price was competitive. Do not claim to have a lot of knowledge on this front but this is the feeling I get after talking to friends and colleagues Negatives: 1. Zero planning. The sales team does not know about operations but refuse to connect us to operations before we have only little number of days left. 2. Visa team is woefully unaware of any rules and regulations pertaining to the visa process in case anything is a little different from the status quo. The company they had outsourced the visa process to was knowledgeable though and therefore everything finally worked out but not before by blood pressure reached record-level high. 3. Once they had supplied the itineraries to the local partner agencies, they sort of washed their hands off. Although they kept saying that they will coordinate, nothing happened from their sides. The local agencies themselves were more proactive in solving clashes and mistakes done by ASAP 4. No respect for others' time. Their process is completely screwed up - the hand-off processes do not work. Any movement needs multiple follow-ups and threats of legal repercussions
Chirayu's 4 days trip to SingaporeTravel associate was available at the airport once we landed in Singapore. He handed over all the itinerary and tickets for our trip. Hotel was not up the mark. Was not quite happy with the rooms and overall hotel. First day of tour was city tour however two main important excursion was not included in the package i.e. Singapore Flyer and boat ride. This costed me around 235 dollars which eventually hampered my overall budget. Second day our trip started at 2.00 pm to sentosa. I feel that was waste of morning time for us. As it was lot of things that could have covered in sentosa we were not able to do all the things. Also selection of rides could have been better for us. Probably travel traingle should suggest better selection of packages for sentosa. Ex. Icecream was selected in our package. I thought it was a ride for kids but eventually it was just a small ice-cream that I had to take at a shop in SEA aquarium which was again a problem as I have enter the aquarium twice to get that ice-cream. Next was Jurong bird park and again time available there was very short .we could hardly cover 40 percent of the park. Again improper time management itinerary. Last day was good at universal and enjoyed a lot. Take away is that travel triangle needs to work on itinerary and better hotel suggestions. Sentosa, Jurong bird park, universal and gardens by bay
A's 6 days trip to SingaporeI went to Singapore on a 5 night trip. I booked the flight myself and selected two hotels based on location and guest reviews - One Farrer in Little India for 4 nights and Crowne Plaza Changi Airport for the last night since I had a morning flight back and wished to explore the Jewel Changi. Both hotels were great choices for my needs. The itinerary was finalized by Travel Triangle and all arrangements were done as per the itinerary and the trip went very smoothly, thank you.
Nitesh's 8 days trip to SingaporeOverall set up of your was assigned by PRM tours and travels in very good manner i.e. Air travel, hotels, site seen places, etc. Our tour was of 8 days which includes Singapore + Malaysia, and travel agency did accommodate max places during same. On the other hand PRM tours + Travel triangle representative were regularly taking follow up with us. Apart from hotel at Singapore which was little bit congested and food which was that place local food, all other things were satisfactory. During Singapore and Malaysia, Cable car travel + Adventure Sports + Night safari and Theme park (specially scream park) were memorable aspect of journey.
Komalagarwal's 6 days trip to SingaporeTransfers should be little more accommodating if intimiation is given in advance.
Fazil's 5 days trip to SingaporeSmooth and proper planning by the tour operator.Everything went as per plan without any hiccups. Thanks Babu for your support.
Chatterjeec's 7 days trip to SingaporeI am not at satisfied with KL tour and the programme. Unnecessary I have wasted half day on 18th evening (5-8pm) next day morning to evening 5.30pm. after that they took us for the KL city tour ( shown only Twin tower, KL tower and Chocolate factory). One the programme you made for me is totally wastage of money in KL. Singapore is some how better. but the food coupon provided to us those restaurant are situated more than 4-5 km away from hotel . So. taxi expenditure was too much in Singapore for having dinner with coupon. Rest is okay, I never faced such a bad experience before in India or abroad.
