Tourist Places In Singapore

Here are some of the most exciting sites to stop, see and observe – the best places to visit in Singapore City.

1. Merlion Park

The Merlion structure, translates to ‘lion of the sea’, and represents the island’s history of a fishing village and the root of its Malay name ‘Singapura’ – the lion city. The Merlion is like a representative emblem for the city, and thus among the top 10 places to visit in Singapore. Overlooking the Marina Bay, the 8.6 meters tall, white statue of the mythical creature offers a great opportunity for a photo session and a nice view of the bay.

2. Marina Bay Sands

Marina Bay takes us to the grandest of the structures in Singapore. Marina Bay Sands is the number one destination on the Singapore attractions map, thanks to its all-encompassing presence right at the shore of the bay. The luxurious resort complex is also home to a high-end hotel, multiple restaurants and bars, the Art Science Museum and not-so-surprisingly, world’s highest infinity pool set at 650 feet in the Skypark – the city’s best vantage point.

3. Gardens by the Bay

From the top of the Sands, one can easily spot the patch of lush green on the Singapore city map, beautifully designed and decorated – Gardens by the Bay. It is a perfect setting amidst the bustling city to enjoy a little bit of nature’s touch. Here one can also see the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, Cloud Forest Dome and learn about its biodiversity up close. Do not miss the Supertree Grove – the futuristic, scientifically engineered fauna structures for a sustainable environment. It is among the delightful places to visit in Singapore for family.

4. China Town

This place is like a small China within the city of Singapore and a must visit place in Singapore. From the red lanterns to the small shacks selling Momo and soups, from the heritage markets for souvenirs to the upscale bistros – the neighborhood has China running through its veins. Day starts here with the morning drum ceremony at the Buddha Tooth Relic temple and ends with the hustle of residents and tourists in the markets and eateries.

5. Sentosa Island

Although not specifically a beach destination despite being an island country, Sentosa Island makes up for the lack of seashore activities otherwise. It is a good place to sweat it out in the sun playing beach ball or volleyball, or go into the crystal blue sea kayaking, surfing or sea-boarding. The Underwater World is a lovely aquarium to explore, while Fort Siloso is Singapore’s only preserved fort from the past. Sentosa is among the best places to visit in Singapore for couples.

6. Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios is a theme park paying tribute to the cults and classics of Hollywood. Star Wars, Shrek, Jurassic Park and many others in the genres of fantasy and Sci-Fi have made their way into the park. There are a range of rides, starting from kid’s level to adrenaline-pumping ones, along with shopping and dining options throughout the day and night. It is among the must-visit places in Singapore.

These are the best places to visit in Singapore in 3 days or less. If one has more time at hand, there will be no dearth of locations to explore either.

Ramya's 7 days trip to Singapore

Had a great experience in a vacation they planned(Plan My Leisure). Our agent Amarjeet, did an amazing job planning this vacation! Everything from the destination to the activities was perfectly chosen. The balance between relaxation and exploration was spot on, and I loved how you included both local culture and natural beauty in the itinerary. The thoughtful details, like the guided tours made the experience even more memorable. It’s clear you put a lot of effort into making it special, and it truly paid off. I had an unforgettable time in Singapore, Kaula Lumpur and Langkawi—thank you for such a well-organized and enjoyable trip!

Krishna's 7 days trip to Singapore

I opted for Dream Tours and Travels for the Singapore and Bali trip. The tour coordinator Babu was very good and was in constant touch until our tour was booked. Later had to follow up for the tickets and the final service vouchers were given 2 days before the trip. TT mentions that the vouchers needs to be provided a week before. No verification was done from Bhavana (TT) as well. Now coming to the trip. I was taking my 2 year old daughter for the first time, so had set the expectations that the tour should have been kid friendly. Singapore trip was extremely well coordinated and my daughter enjoyed the trip. Rooms, hotel area and the arrangements were really good. Only thing was that the initial itinerary shared has zoo on second day and Sentosa on 4th day. When i received the voucher it was exchanged. Thank god i did not book the ticket for Harry potter considering the first itinerary else the money would have been gone. But i would rate 4.5/5 for the Singapore. Now coming to Bali, I wanted a kid friendly trip, but it was a nightmare. This itinerary was just a copy paste of an general 2 day itinerary and no research was done tour coordinator. Both the days we had to travel in car in scorching sun. All day we were on cab roaming from one place to another. My kid id not enjoy in turn we also had a bad day. We had specifically asked for a bigger hotel in Bali but the hotel was poor with less veg option in the breakfast menu. Only positive was the cab and cab driver. I would choose them for Singapore but a big no for Bali!
