Israel Museum
With such a rich heritage to preserve and showcase, it was important to have a place dedicated to its conservation. The Israel Museum in Jerusalem was established in 1965 with this exact purpose. In the years since then, the museum has expanded its scope far beyond that. There are a few sections that the museum is divided into, each with its specific thematic goal, namely the Archaeology Wing, the Fine Arts Wing and the Jewish Arts and Life Wing. Over 500000 different items have been kept here on display for the public to learn from and appreciate. Some of the popular displays out of these are the Venus of Berekhat Ram, the House of David Victory Stele, even reconstructions of entire synagogues from all over the world, including places from Italy, Germany and even Cochin here in India. Far and away the most prized artefact kept here in the Israel Museum are the Dead Sea Scrolls uncovered in the fortification of Masada, which is being kept in an urn-shaped building in the Museum’s Art Garden named “Shrine of the Book”.
Frishman Beach
Located in Tel Aviv, Frishman Beach is the perfect destination for those looking for a satisfying, entertaining experience along the coast. People who visit here may choose to lounge around on the fine sands, play volleyball on one of the many volleyball courts or simply have a meal at one of the restaurants that line the beach as they gaze out at the boundless expanse of the Mediterranean Sea.

Best Time to Visit
Summer
The summer in Israel is quite hot, but not unbearably so if you take some precautions. The temperature stays between 18 °C and 31 °C in most parts, but it does get higher in the desert areas, so it is best to avoid those. There is also some rainfall during this time which does cool the climate on occasion in the months of June, July, August and September.
Spring
Budget travellers should keep an eye on the spring season in Israel as the crowds aren’t as thick, making travel costs and accommodations much lighter on your wallet. While the higher end of the temperature during this season isn't too far off the numbers that are seen in the summer, they don’t go higher than 27 °C, with the lower end being a pleasant 10 °C. All in all, the climate in the months of March, April and May is nice for those who like the outdoors.
Autumn
The rains do appear in the autumn months of October and November here in Israel and they tend to be heavier during this time than in the summer. This helps keep the temperatures quite cool, as the mercury doesn’t shoot up too high. Carrying clothes that will keep you warm and dry is a good idea during this time of year. The number of visitors in Israel doesn’t see much of an increase, either, so most important facilities stay cheap.
Winter
It may come as a shock, but Israel does experience snowfall in certain parts during the winter season, particularly at higher altitudes. The temperature 17 °C to 22 °C when the sun is out and shining in the sky, while they drop to a nippy range of 10 °C to 15 °C at night after it drops under the horizon. The clouds pour the heaviest in the winter months of December, January and February, which doesn’t help the colder climate.
How To Reach
By Air
Israel has its primary airport in Tel Aviv Yafo, named the Ben Gurion Airport, although some of its air traffic does get pointed towards the J. Hozman Airport in Eilat. Flying from the Kempegowda International Airport to Israel does not make for a short journey by any means, so be ready to travel for about 13 to 20 hours, with at least a single stop in New Delhi or Mumbai on the way there.
