Andaman Tour Package From Mumbai

Andaman & Nicobar tour packages from Mumbai start at INR 8,299 per person. The Mumbai to Andaman journey is a flight: you fly from Mumbai (BOM) to Port Blair / Sri Vijaya Puram (IXZ), there is no train or road route, and no passenger ship sails from Mumbai, so an airfare-inclusive package is the simplest way to go.
Whether you want a honeymoon on Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), a family beach holiday, or a scuba-and-adventure escape, every Andaman & Nicobar package from Mumbai below is fully customisable.

Mumbai to Andaman Flight Guide: BOM to Port Blair (Sri Vijaya Puram, IXZ)

The only way to reach the Andaman Islands from Mumbai is by air: fly from Mumbai (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International, BOM) to Port Blair (Veer Savarkar International / Sri Vijaya Puram, IXZ). There is no overland route and no passenger ship from Mumbai, so flying is the route for every traveller. A few non-stop flights operate, taking around 3 hours; most connections route via Chennai, Bengaluru or Kolkata and run 6–9 hours including the layover. Booking an airfare-inclusive package lets us hold the fare and pair your flight with arrival transfers and ferries. The table below compares the options so you can pick before you book.

Route from Mumbai Type Approx. duration Notes
Mumbai (BOM) to Port Blair / Sri Vijaya Puram (IXZ) Non-stop flight ~3h Limited daily; book early, fewest seats, best time saving
Mumbai to Port Blair via Chennai (MAA) 1-stop flight ~6–8h Most common routing; widest choice of fares
Mumbai to Port Blair via Bengaluru / Kolkata 1-stop flight ~7–9h Alternative connections; often the lowest fare
Mumbai to Port Blair by ship Not available No passenger ship sails from Mumbai, only Kolkata, Chennai & Vizag do

Best Time to Visit Andaman from Mumbai: Month by Month

The best time to visit the Andamans from Mumbai is October to May, when the seas are calm, skies are clear and visibility is best for scuba and snorkelling. Mumbai's long-weekend and school-holiday windows (Diwali, Christmas–New Year, summer holidays) line up well with the dry season: book the BOM to IXZ flight 4–6 weeks ahead for those peaks. June to September is the southwest monsoon: rates drop and the islands are lush and quiet, but ferry crossings are rougher.

Window Months What to expect from Mumbai
Peak / best Oct – Feb Calm seas, 23–30°C, best diving visibility; book BOM to IXZ early, peak airfare from Mumbai
Shoulder Mar – May Warm & sunny, still great for water sports; lower airfare than peak, fewer crowds
Monsoon Jun – Sep Cheapest packages, lush islands; rough ferries, occasional crossing delays

Every TravelTriangle package from Mumbai pre-books your ferry seats, so you don't queue for tickets on arrival.

Port Blair, Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), Neil (Shaheed Dweep), Baratang and North Andaman's Diglipur are the main stops on an Andaman & Nicobar trip from Mumbai. The Nicobar group and tribal-reserve islands are restricted and not part of tourist itineraries, packages cover the Andaman group.

Mr's 5 days trip to Andaman

Overall Experience: While the itinerary ultimately covered all the promised destinations, the first few days of the trip were highly stressful due to poor breakfast service, below-average accommodations, transportation discrepancies, and lack of support from both the booking partner and local agent
s. 1. Breakfast Service (First 2 Days) Day 1: My flight timings changed, and I requested an early breakfast, which was denied. While I understood the policy, it set a disappointing tone. Day 2: We had an early morning checkout to travel to Havelock Island. We were provided a packed breakfast consisting only of low-quality bread, butter, jam, and a packed mango juice. This was highly unsatisfactory. 2. Havelock Island Accommodations & Itinerary Delays Resort Quality: The resort provided on Havelock Island was extremely poor. The rooms felt like below-average huts, resulting in a terrible experience. Service Delay: It took almost an hour of arguing to get our room changed. Lack of Local Agent Support: Because of the room change, our itinerary ran late. The local agent asked why we were running late and insensitively suggested we should have gone on the tour first and changed rooms later. It is unreasonable to expect guests to go out without freshening up first. 3. Transport Issues Havelock Island: We were initially given an Alto to travel to Radhanagar Beach, which did not match what was promised during booking. After confronting the agent, they upgraded us to a Scorpio for the return journey to the resort. Neil Island: The driver on Neil Island was incredibly rushed, constantly forcing us to hurry through our sightseeing because he had another group of guests waiting for his next trip. 4. Discounts and Financial Discrepancies We were promised a 40% discount on water sports activities, but this was not honored. We were forced to pay the full price/whatever rate was quoted on-site, with zero assistance from your team. 5. Booking Partner & Coordinator Support The resort provided on Neil Island was very good, and the final legs of the trip went smoothly. However, the travel partner we booked through provided almost no assistance during the trip. It felt like we had to figure everything out on our own, and we were left entirely at the mercy of the local agent. Conclusion The lack of coordination, poor initial accommodations, and unhelpful local support made the first few days of our vacation incredibly uneasy and stressful. I expect a formal response regarding the unhonored discounts and the standard of service provided

Gaurav's 6 days trip to Andaman

I recently booked a trip to the Andaman Islands through Island Retreat Holidays, and it was an absolutely seamless and memorable experience. From start to finish, the coordination was top-notch. A huge shout-out to Ms. Shivani for her exceptional planning. She managed every detail of our itinerary—
from the ferry bookings to the hotel stays and cab transfers—making the entire trip wonderful and stress-free. The ground support was equally impressive. I’d like to give a special mention to our driver in Port Blair, Mr. Akhter, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating with all our requests. We also appreciated the assistance of Mr. Raju, who helped us plan our activities at Elephant Beach, and Mr. Chand for his support at Neil Island. The professionalism and hospitality shown by the entire team were outstanding. I highly recommend booking with Island Retreat Holidays to anyone planning a trip to the Andamans, and I will definitely be recommending them to all my friends!

Tips For Travellers

If you’re planning on travelling to the Andaman and Nicobar, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Being surrounded by the sea, you must always be careful of where you wander. The sea is full of untold dangers, so make sure you stick to the signs and not go where you may get washed away by strong currents or have an encounter with dangerous underwater life. It is also best to avoid going out into the sea right after a meal or when drunk— make sure you have your senses about you! The sea gets very rough and choppy at night, so it is best to avoid the shores at night. Make sure to put on sunscreen and carry enough protection against the hot sun. Water sports is also a fun activity to try, but also can be very dangerous. Even if you know how to swim, make sure you wear a lifejacket and go with the instructions of a certified trainer.

Another thing to keep note of is the fact that the Andaman and Nicobar are home to a number of aboriginal tribes, many of whom do not like contact with outsiders and are fiercely protected by the authorities. Make sure you do not venture into these protected lands, as there may be dire consequences. There have been cases in the past where trespassing into the tribal lands has resulted in death. Do not throw plastic or other garbage around the island, keep it clean and tidy.

There is a reason why the quintessential picture of a “vacation” is by the beach, with a drink in hand. A beach is where you are sure to have the best holiday! And where else would you go, but the best beach in India? Andaman and Nicobar are widely known for being blessed with pristine beaches and gorgeous coconut groves, as well as hospitality which will make you want to stay on forever. It would be a holiday you will cherish forever. With TravelTriangle, this holiday just gets a whole lot better. Without the hassle of booking, planning and pre-ordering, all you need to focus on is enjoying yourself!
